When we get to the Stump's house, I don't even bother closing my door, just running inside as soon as Joe stops. Bronx is passed out on the couch, a reddish blonde haired kid next to him, Ruby's on the floor, lying in Bandit's lap, Junior is on top of the table, and Sam is nowhere to be seen.
"Holy shit, where the fuck is Patrick Stump?" I growl out. I go over to Bronx and shake him roughly.
"What? Oh, uh, hey, Dad. How'd you know we were here?" His speech is only slightly slurred, but I still notice it.
"Shut the fuck up. Who the hell do you think you are? You're six-fucking-teen, not thirty. Get your ass up, and get in that car. I'm going to talk to Patrick about this." I say. He opens his mouth to say something, but I shake my head. "I'm so disappointed in you right now, I don't want to see you. Joe, you get Ruby and Bronx in the car. I'll deal with the idiot."
As soon as they walk out of the house, I shake the kid that was lying next to Bronx's shoulder, waking him up. I assume he's Declan, Patrick's son.
"Huh?" He says, rubbing his eyes. "Who are you?"
"I'm Bronx's father. Where's your dad?" His eyes widen when I say that, and he scratches the back of his head.
"At the hospital. He's working. Got called in last night. I didn't want to be alone." He says, looking at his feet. All of the anger rushes out of me, and I find myself wanting to hug the kid.
"When will he be back?" Declan shrugs after I ask that.
"He's on call and might not be back until late tomorrow." He explains. "He started working a lot more after my mom died. I don't like being alone. It scares me."
"Alright, how about we call Ray and Gerard, and you can stay at my house until your dad comes home?" I suggest. His eyes light up when I say that.
"You really don't mind?" He asks, and I shake my head.
"I don't like being alone either, Kid." I tell him, and he smiles.
I dial Gerard's number, and he picks up on the second ring. "What's up, Wentzay?" He says.
"Gerard, come to Patrick's house now." I say. The other line goes silent for a second.
"Bandit's there, yeah? This isn't the first time. Wake Junior up, too. It's best if Ray doesn't know." Gerard hangs up after that.
Damn, this kid must get left alone a lot. Gerard gets here in less than five minutes and takes both a tipsy Bandit and a tired Junior to his house.
I lead Declan outside, and he gets in the backseat next to Bronx, who is sitting in the middle. "Dad?" Bronx asks. Declan smiles at him.
"We'll talk about this when we get back home, but Declan's staying with us until his father gets back." I say. I see Declan staring at Bronx the whole time. Like he's the best thing Declan's seen in his entire lifetime.
I raise my eyebrows, but I don't say anything. When we drop Ruby and Joe off, Joe lingers for a second, like he wants to kiss me or something.
"Text me." He whispers, eyes flickering to my lips, and I nod.
As we drive back home, Declan continues to stare. When we get inside, I say, "Bronx, show Declan to your room, and then come back downstairs."
Bronx doesn't come back right away, and I go upstairs. As soon as I open the door, I see Bronx and Declan kissing. Declan's hands are in Bronx's back pockets, gripping his ass, and Bronx's are in his hair. Oh, yeah, my son's a bottom.
"Boys." I say. They break apart, and Declan's cheeks turn bright red. Bronx looks smug, his arms still around Declan's neck.
"Coming, Dad." Bronx says. He leans in and kisses Declan again, pulling away quickly.
As we walk back down the stairs, I say, "You and Declan?"
"He's fucking gorgeous. Wait until you see his dad. He's daddy as fuck." Bronx says, and my mouth drops open.
"Anyways.." I say, scratching the back of my head, "can you tell me why you decided to go to Declan's and drink?"
"He doesn't like to be alone. Says that alcohol numbs the pain. You don't let your boyfriend drink alone, Dad." Bronx says matter-of-factly.
"So all those times you were 'staying at Junior's,' you were at Declan's house drinking?" I ask, and he nods after a little hesitation.
"I didn't want to lie to you, I swear. But I know you'd scare Dec into not wanting to date me, and I can't have that. I love him." Bronx says. My eyes widen, seriously, he's saying love already?
"How long have you and Declan been dating?" I ask. He answers after a second of thought.
"Ten months, I think." How the hell did he keep this secret from me all that time?
"Have you, uh, had sex with him yet?" I ask, and Bronx blushes. It's not very noticeable on his skin, but I can tell.
"Yes, uh, yeah." He says awkwardly. My eyebrows raise.
"How long ago?" I ask, crossing my arms. I like the kid, sure, but I just met him.
"About two weeks." He confesses. I nod in realisation.
"Right after I told you bottoming was fun and to use condoms." I say, and he nods in agreement. "So you bottomed?"
"Yeah, I did." He says. Wow, could this conversation get anymore awkward?
"And, umm, how was it?" I ask. He shakes his head.
"I'm not having this conversation with you, Dad." Bronx tells me, and I nod. "But, yes, it was really good."
"So his dad's hot?" I ask, and Bronx nods vigorously.
"Dad, I do not say the word DILF a lot, but shit, I should start. His eyes are fucking beautiful." Bronx admits, and I roll my eyes.
"So I guess telling you to sleep in a guest room isn't going to help?" I ask, and he shakes his head. "Fine, you can sleep with him, but I swear if you have sex under this roof.. I probably won't do anything. But please don't."
"Alright, Dad." Bronx says and goes up the stairs. I lie down on the couch.
Patrick will hopefully be off before tomorrow. They have school in the morning.
