Note: Tsukigami Kaito is literally the love of my life. (I shouldn't be saying that because I have hundreds...) It just made sense to start off this book with him. My number one, my forever love~

[Name] opened the door carefully, hoping to not disturb her boyfriend. He was busy training all day and night for this two-day performance. Tsukigami was chosen to fill-in for a dancer for the Peter Pan on Broadway. It was a last-minute thing since the former dancer, unfortunately, broke his ankle during a practice.

Tsukigami only had a week to learn the entire routine for a almost two hours. He was chosen for his outstanding performance on a Japanese dance competition, and the acting troupe needed more diversity on stage.

"It's amazing how I'll be in America! I'm achieving my dreams so soon, [Name]. I'm so happy." [Name] remembered the child-like excitement in his smile. "And, I was wondering if you wanted to come with me. It'd be wonderful to have you by my side."

[Name] remembered this moment. Tsukigami had made it all romantic, the dinner and lighting, and he acted as if he was going to propose to her. He wasn't, obviously, since they were still under-aged, but [Name] accepted. She wanted to support her boyfriend's lifelong dreams.

Tsukigami stared into the mirror, fully concentrated on his steps and rhythm. He was taking a lead role in one of the dances, and if he messed up, that would bring him shame.

He heard applauding and turned to see [Name] in a chair. He smiled. "Hello, [Name]. Do you like it in New York?"

"Of course I do. I'm spending it with you, that's why." [Name] stood up and handed him a new bottle of water. He had gone through five in the last four hours of practice.

"Are you hungry? You should rest. I don't want you over-working yourself." Tsukigami waved his hand and plopped on the chair.

"I'll be fine. The coach went to buy me food earlier while you were roaming around. Just let me practice one more time, and then we'll go to the hotel." He stood up and smiled at [Name].

She smiled back. "Yep! I can't wait to see you perform tomorrow. And, I get front-row seating for free." [Name] squealed and watched Tsukigami get into place.

His moves were so elegant and clean. [Name] was sure that he wouldn't mess up. All of his jumps and turns were flawless. He was made for dancing. She sighed, mesmerized and awed by his talent. His raw, perfect talent. He didn't have to try hard to dance and learning the entire routine wasn't difficult.

After about fourty-five minutes, Tsukigami stopped. [Name] ran up to him and hugged him. "Awww! You're so good, Kaito! I can't wait to see you in your cute costume and glittery makeup! You're going to be so cute." She nuzzled her face into his chest. He hugged her back, stroking her back gently.

"Thank you. I know you're tired, so let's go to the hotel."


It was time. [Name] was sitting in the exact middle of the front row. She was surrounded by strange people. People who could afford such seats. It intimidated her slightly, but she sat up straight. The lights dimmed, and the curtains were pulled open.

The voice-over explained exit routes and cellphone policies before changing to the introductory voice. [Name] studied English well enough to understand most of the story, but she anticipated her boyfriend and his dancing.

Finally, she spotted him walk across stage. He was wearing green-brown leggings and a brown-leafy tank top to impersonate a woodland fairy. She watched him flip and land gracefully, transitioning in the back, then popping to the front.

This dance required singing along with Peter Pan. They were singing to Wendy and her siblings, explaining what Neverland was all about.

"Neverland! Forever, and young! You'll never get tired of such great fun. Now come on in, come one and all. It's to Neverland. Forever, and young!"*

[Name]'s eyes sparkled when she saw Tsukigami sing boldly. His English merged beautifully with the other actors and singers. He didn't stumble at all, and he was able to harmonize with Peter Pan.

Tears filled her eyes. She wasn't sad. She was full of joy. She was excited seeing her beloved have fun and experience once-in-a-lifetime events.

After the production, [Name] met with Tsukigami backstage. "You were amazing! I cried when I saw you. You were so beautiful!" She hugged him.

Tsukigami had changed and was now in a more comfortable attire. "It was fun. And, I'm glad you were able to see and support me. I love you." He kissed the top of her head.

"And, I loved the way you sang. It was beautiful. The harmonizing and pitches! The flips and twirls! It was all too good. I want to come again tomorrow and see you."

"You can. I get a discount on tickets since I'm participating."

"I'll buy one myself. But, I really liked that song... The one about Neverland."

Tsukigami led her away from the other actors. "Want me to sing it for you?" He was smiling, and [Name] couldn't refuse. She nodded.

"Neverland! Forever, and young! You'll never get tired of such great fun. Now come on in, come one and all. It's to Neverland. Forever, and..." He paused.

"Why'd you stop?" inquired [Name].

He coughed and pulled [Name]'s face closer. "It's to Neverland," he repeated. "Forever, and love."

[Name] blushed, but Tsukigami grabbed her face for a kiss. The actors around them smiled and clapped.

They pulled away. "I will love you forever," said Tsukigami smirking. "Just like Neverland loves staying young."

*This isn't a legitimate song. I literally wrote the lyrics at the top of my head in, like, two seconds. It made sense, though, and I am content with it.
