Now I love singing don't get me wrong. I just have a slight case of stage fright. So, when my bestfriend , Mia, told me I should try out for the annual singing competion. I immediatly said no.

Now you see if it was a regular singing competition she would probably have had a better chance of a yes but no. You see my school is different if you win this competition, you sing at the 1st college football game of the season with the other winner. And not just the random colleges I mean the ones that air on TV.

I guess that's why so many people try out becuase you get to be on national television. Besides the fact that I live in a random city no ones ever heard about and you get to fly out of state and stay there for a week. There is also the fact that the school gives you $500 if you win.

Now, my school has won 4 times in the 18 years it has been participating and that's really good considering the thousands of other highschools that also participate. My school isn't even an arts school. We just have a great choir that always wins its contests.

I almost joined choir, too you know? That is until Mia told me they had competitions. I know your probably thinking "come, on you didn't know they had competitions?" but to be fair I was a freshmen in a new school, who had been given two days to choose a club.

Any way, instead of  choir I joined art club with Mia instead. I've never really been good at art but I think I've improved since I joined. Then again it has been about 3 years. Although, by drawings improved I still love sculpting way more.

Most of the sculptures I make are dancers. Which is quite odd since I don't really like dancing. I guess I just admire their grace and energy. Plus even if I have stage fright music is still my altime favorite hobby and I guess dancing does have a lot to do with music.

I play a lot of instruments but the flute is probably my favorite. Its one of the only 4 instruments I own. The other three are the drums, keyboard, and guitar. Now, don't think I'm  spoiled becuase I used the word only, its just that I can play about 5 times the amount of instruments I own. 

Any how,  back to the competition instead of my entire life story. After like a week of Mia begging me while my other friends backed her up. I finally gave up and just went with it while they jumped with joy. I mean I'm a Junior I want to try stuff while I'm not swamp with work like the Seniors.

So after school we all drove to my house(by drive I mean I carpooled with Mia). My mom and dad were at work. Which I was honestly glad for so at least they wouldn't bother me about it 24/7 like my friends. 

Mia took charge of the operation even though I was the one singing. I was honestly happy about that though since I had no idea what I was suppose do. She chose a random song from the top10 billboard and just told me to sing it.

So I read through the the lyrics and listened to it at the same times. And with in five minutes I was singing the as well as I could. We stayed like that for a half an hour me singing and them trying to record it perfectly.

Hello, welcome to my first story ever. Speaking of this being my first story ever please go easy on me. I'm reading it over twice and having my sister read it too but I'll probably still have spelling and grammar mistakes. So I repeat there is no need for the grammar police (that includes you to Jenn, if you bother to read this of course).

Anyway, don't copy my work without my permission. I probably wouldn't give it to you any way but if I do make sure you mention me and don't take all the credit. Yada,yada,yada I don't no why you would steal my work, it isn't that good.
