Rose opened her eyes, she found herself in an unfamiliar room.

'Where am I?' she wondered, noticing that she was alone when someone opened the door. It was a young girl with silver hair and blue eyes, wearing a bluish-white nurse's dress. 

"Hello, Rose-san. I'm the doctor who was assigned to you," she proclaimed while preserving her childlike posture. "Ah, right. You fell unconscious after Geales-sama left you. My diagnosis indicated that the cause was not blood loss, but rather starvation." Rose gulped, it was true. The black-haired girl hadn't eaten much in the last few days to be able to give more to her beloved family. She always pretended to eat, but she didn't.

"I don't know what you mean... I always eat enough..." she lied in fear for her family's well-being while closing her eyes.

"I used to be in third grade, too. I know you want the best for your family, so please don't lie," she said, looking her in the eye. Rose no longer wondered how such a young girl could become a doctor, as she was very perceptive. Maybe she was serving directly under the vampire king?

"I... Where is my family?" she evaded an answer again while the girl sighed.

"No, respond, huh... Don't worry, they're at your house." Rose was visibly relieved. After a medical examination, the girl left. 'Ah, I forgot to ask her name...'

The only thing she wished to do now was to see her family. The female stood up and looked out the window. She guessed that this was some kind of hospital.

"A hospital for the first class, huh? It would be great if the others could see it as well," she gazed at the beautiful forest from above. This was the first time for her. Normally, all you could see from the 3rd class district was a few branches blowing in the wind.

No one was as important to her as her family, they had accepted and loved her for the past 5 years. There was nothing more precious than that. Ever since the day she was assigned to this family by the vampires. Rose was the only stranger there in the past. Someone with an unknown origin but managed to melt the ice around her cold heart.

"Yes, my broken self," Rose closed her eyes.

"No, please don't! At least let him live! He has a whole life ahead of him! Please just kill me...!" The crying woman was interrupted by the blood gushing from her son's body.

'NOOOO!!!' she screamed. A foot on her face pushed her to the ground. The woman looked at the killer with a face filled with hatred.

"Rose."

"Monster...," her blood spilled into the street.

"Rose?"

"Rose!" a hand grabbed her by the shoulder and turned her around as she recognized the voice.

"Charlie? What are you doing here?" she asked in surprise.

"I came to get you. Why were you staring out the window like that? You just didn't hear me..." he asked irritated and worried.

"Ah. I... I was just looking at this lovely forest and I was caught up in its beauty.", she partially lied.

"Hmm, well, it doesn't matter now. Come on, everyone is waiting," he took her hand and started to leave, the two of them left the medical center. Rose wanted to keep what Urd Geales suggested to her a secret until she arrived home to surprise everyone. They crossed the manor where she had been confined yesterday and stopped to look up.

"What's wrong?" questioned Charlie as he glanced at her and noticing something "Hey Rose? Did someone suck your blood?!" he asked aloud with anxiety. Instinctively, the black-haired woman touched her neck and felt that the band-aid on her wound was gone.

"No... No! They had to prick twice yesterday when I gave my blood to the machine... there was a slight problem..."

"Don't lie to me, Rose... You..." he looked sad when abruptly they heard a familiar voice call out.

"Rose-nee!!! Charlie-nii!" he cried out of breath.

"Ben! What happened!!!" asked Rose immediately.

"T... 'They... have..." he began "They came into our house and hurt Jordan-nii and Betty-nee... And... they have... Emily-nee,' Ben said as he sobbed loudly, not understanding what had happened.

From far above, two vampires watched the scene.

"What a sudden turn of events! Lord Geales, what do you think she will do now? ~" he laughed in amusement.

"Ky, watch her but don't interfere if anything happens. Just protect her life if necessary." the blond ordered.

"Yes, my lord." he bowed slightly.

Rose felt it. Something she had not experienced in a long time.

Fear.
