"Wait for me! Emily!" the boy sprinted behind his sister.

"Come on Charlie! You're slaking off! Should I tell master haha..." she giggled uncontrollably, jumping from tree to tree as Charlie sped up grabbing her wrist. "See, you can do it if you give it your all!" They stopped at the beginning of a river. "I wonder what Nee-san is doing... Do you think she already forgot?"

"Don't utter such words! You know that she would have died for us! Moreover, the master has explained it some time ago, has he not?" he scolded.

"I know..."

"Time passes more slowly on the other side. This is the realm of magic. If I remember correctly on Nee-sans side only some months passed." he explained as the girl turned pale.

"Wait what! Really... how... " 

"You didn't listen at all when he explained it to us, huh?" he sighed heavily as she grabbed his collar.

"...but we are already two years on this site! How is that even possible?!"  tears rolled down her cheek. "I want to see *hic*... I ...!!! What is happening?!" she gasped noticing her right palm glowing in an ominous red. 

"It is warm... but it doesn't hurt..." Charlie examined "This sensation? It is like back then! When Nee-san expelled us into this world!"

"Charlie, do you think something has happened to her?" she asked frightened.

"I don't know... let's ask master lat-..." he started when some small silhouettes shouted nearby.

"Hero-sama! Please save us!" the small creature with pointed ears and wings pleated.

"We will have to deal with the monster first I guess..." Charlie stood up wielding a spear.

"Alright... sun god Aten and Archangel Mikaela grant me strength!" she chanted as her bracelet transformed into a tremendous sword. "Let's go!"

"Rose!" Urd exclaimed as the light and orb disappeared. Not responding, she stood up, the chains breaking as if they were toys. She faced him with red then purple then red eyes again. Her hair changed between black and white. Now, he was convinced that she was not only Rose anymore. To his surprise wings began to grow on her back first gold then black. It appeared that her body was in a great state of chaos. At last, jet black horns grew on her head and a golden halo appeared above them. Urd has seen a lot of strange things in his eternal life but this surpassed everything. 

In a blink of an eye, however, everything disappeared again. Leaving Rose just with black hair and purple eyes. 

"Rose..." he called out in concern, once again she didn't respond. "Tell me, do you remember me?" her cold eyes lit up for a moment.

"...yes..." she answered finally as he sighed relieved.

"How are you feeling?" he asked coming closer.

"Nothing," she replied monotonously making him freeze.

"What?"

"Nothing. I am feeling nothing." she stepped forward standing face to face with him. "I wonder, is that my punishment for being something forbidden...?" she glanced down when Urd clutched her chin. 

"I see you don't understand your own emotions," he commented seriously. 

"What would you know about it?" she replied apathetically with a tiny undertone.

"I know a lot. Having lived through it for thousands of years before releasing something." he earned a raised eyebrow "No living being exists that harbors absolutely no emotion. Vampires too can feel them but there are damped by our curse. The most decide to remain cold and only interested in blood but some of us choose to feel something else." she tried to escape his grip "The mockery and the anger that you feel right now are also emotions. Dont forget that!" he let go of her.

Rose faced him with reddish eyes before she disappeared.

"The heart can get really cold if all you've known is winter."
