ALEX AND WILL WERE sitting on their knees in the water as Levi stood in front of them with crossed arms. It genuinely seemed like a father scolding his two children, Will staring up at Levi with wide eyes. Alex however was sitting there with his wig still on and a stick on moustache, looking like a shady guy selling drugs in an alleyway. Not that that differed much from his usual look. Ella glanced at the wig in her hand, obviously fake with it's jet black curls. Genuinely, it looked like plastic. Where had they even found this?

"Okay, but listen -" Alex began.

He stopped talking at once when Levi raised his eyebrows, Alex' mouth falling open as he started protesting again.

"That's untrue," he said," Will and I hang out all the time at this place, this is our favorite spot."

"Why are you still not good at this then?" Ella said.

"You're being incredibly rude, young lady," Alex said, pointing at her," I am the best at this. In fact, they have a trophy wall dedicated entirely to me. You can check that -" He paused for a second. "Never mind, do not check that. Anyway, Will was the one who fell."

Ella turned her gaze towards Will, who hung his head, cheeks red.

"I got stressed because I heard your voices," he admitted," I'm sorry for letting you fall."

"Yes, you both scared us," Alex said, crossing his arms as well," how dare you accuse us of stalking when you two are the ones intruding on our day out?"

Levi stared at him in silence for a solid minute, until Alex finally sighed, throwing up his hands in the air.

"You're right," he said," we did stalk you."

"That was the strangest communication between you two," Ella remarked.

"I needed to be strict," Levi said.

"And boy, he was," Alex nodded solemnly," it's good you saw this cruel side of him before you were together for too long, Ella. I pity your poor children."

In response Levi ripped the moustache off his nose without any warning, causing Alex' hand to fly to his upper lip as he fell backwards dramatically, a yell escaping his lips. Levi didn't even blink at the scene, but Will tried to grasp Alex to stop his fall, instead tumbling down in the water. When it became clear Levi would not help him, Alex stared him dead in the eye before turning around and floating head down, looking like a drowned corpse. His wig drifted away in the meanwhile, a completely different horror on it's own.

"O my God," Levi muttered, grabbing Ella's wrist," let's get away before this maniac starts telling people I killed him."

Will pulled Alex out by his arms, looking at them like an abandoned puppy as Alex coughed up water.

"But Levi," Ella said," look at him."

"No, don't," Levi said, shielding her eyes with a hand," there's no place for empathy on this date."

"What kind of dates are you having?" Alex shouted after him.

"At least I am having dates," Levi yelled back, removing his hand from her eyes.

Alex' mouth fell open in shock, an incomprehensible speech leaving his lips.

"Is that French?" Ella asked, deciphering some curses.

"Ignore him," Levi said," he always does this when I've offended his honor."

"What honor?"

"That's what I said too," Levi said," and then he started in German."

"You know German, Alex?" Ella blinked.

"Sí, mademoiselle," Alex grinned," fluently. I am a lingual wonder."

"You mean you speak three words and repeated them to me during the whole speech," Levi corrected him. He shook his head at Ella, looking positively dead inside. "He started shuffling the words halfway through and then started making up new ones."

"How would you know?" Alex said," you don't speak German, you barely speak English."

"Eleanora," Levi said, placing a hand on her shoulder," excuse me while I smack him in the face."

"You are excused," Ella nodded.

"What?" Alex exclaimed," what about freedom of speech?"

"Wait," Will said, holding up a hand," let's not do this, won't a brawl make your date less romantic?"

"It actually will make it more romantic," Ella said.

"Psychopaths," Alex said with a shake of his head," the both of you. Will, let me go so I can at least float away with my dignity still there."

Someone yelled then in the distance, Levi's gaze snapping towards the sound. He looked back at the boys, the both of them immediately silent as they smiled guiltily at him.

"Was that Ava?" he said slowly.

"No, it wasn't," Alex replied immediately.

"Yes, I'm sorry," Will admitted at the same time.

"Will!" Alex exclaimed, before glancing back at Levi," you have no proof we brought her here."

"You're making yourself sound very suspicious," Ella noted.

"I always do," Alex said," because, like I said, I'm an enigma. It's part of my charm."

Levi stared at Will, who gave him an apologetic look back.

"Mia is here as well," he confessed," we went in a car together."

"Why are they so far ahead while you two are still here?" Ella asked confusedly.

"We wanted to see you two walk up here romantically," Alex said," you know, so we could make fun of Levi later. Will saw a balloon then and we lost track of time. Then, before we realized it the two of you were only a few meters behind, so we had to run."

"It was a hot-air balloon," Will beamed happily.

"Good for you, Will," Ella said.

"Go away," Levi demanded," we're having a romantic date."

"We already paid!" Alex said.

"Sounds like your problem."

"I'm about to make it yours, Peterson."

"It'll be fine," Ella reassured Levi, waving at their friends," just stay an obstacle or two behind us."

"I can't make any promises," Alex said," you know, I did not lie when I said I was a professional at this and to be honest, from what I've seen, you two suck -"

"What Alex means to say is yes," Will said, quickly placing his hand in front of Alex' mouth.

Alex narrowed his eyes at Levi over Will's hand in a silent threat, Levi mirroring his expression. Ella pulled him away before he jumped Alex, Will waving warmly at them as he wished them a fun date.

"How did they even find us?" Levi said, looking over his shoulder in disbelief as they climbed onto the next obstacle.

"We share an e-mail account," Alex shouted in response, somehow having heard them," you can't hide anything from me, Levi."

"No, we do not share an e-mail account," Levi frowned.

"I lost my password two years ago and yours was easy to guess," Alex answered," so yes, we do."

"So you're the reason for all the spam I've been receiving."

"That isn't spam, you hooligan, those are my weekly subscriptions to magazines."

"How was your password so easy Alex could even guess it?" Ella said, raising one eyebrow.

"It was peterson123," Alex said.

"Levi," Ella said, turning towards him slowly.

"They wouldn't accept password123," Levi said, before scowling at Alex," and why are you shouting my password for every nearby hacker to hear?"

"What are they going to hack?" Alex yelled back," your empty mailbox?"

"It's not empty," Levi exclaimed," because it's full of your spam!"

"What kind of crazy person wants their inbox to be empty?" Alex said," do you also throw a party and invite no one?"

"To be honest, Levi does love his alone time," Will said.

At this rate they were going to be here forever, so Ella interrupted them, turning towards the boys.

"You," she said, pointing at Alex," get your own mail, and you -" She turned toward Levi. "Change your password. Now, let's go."

"Change it into what?" Levi asked, his eyes lighting up a moment later," never mind, I've got it."

"No, don't change it to eleanora123," Ella frowned.

"Why not?" Levi said, before nodding when Ella raised her eyebrows," I mean, of course."

They walked onto the next obstacle, which was strangely still, nothing in sight except a circular navy blue platform and cushioned walls.

"You're going to change it into eleanora12, aren't you?" Ella said as they crossed the platform.

"Yeah," Levi said shamelessly," no one will be able to crack this one."

"Uhm, Levi, I'm afraid to break this to you but -"

She was interrupted halfway through her sentence when the platform suddenly started spinning, sweeping them both off their feet. A sling of curses left Levi's mouth and Ella tried to grasp something to hold onto, but there was nothing except the four walls they were bouncing against. Will and Alex, who had been waiting patiently at the previous obstacle hurried over immediately, alarmed by their screams. When Will however threw himself over onto the platform, all that happened was that he was slammed against a wall as well, now trapped along with them on the obstacle. Alex peeked over the border, waving at them from his safe place back there.

"Good luck guys!" he said, giving them a thumbs up," I'm cheering for you all!"

"Grab ahold of me!" Will said," we can get out together!"

"I am going to destroy this thing when I get out," Levi said, trying to grab Will, but instead slamming with his head against his friend's, causing Will to be practically catapulted out of the obstacle to the next.

"Wish that was me," Ella said, beginning to feel nauseous as she longingly looked at the exit, which was spinning as much as the world around her," Levi, slam your head against mine as well, please. It seems to be the only way out."

Levi pushed himself off a wall then, dramatically grabbing her face to place a kiss on her forehead, before grabbing her by the waist and practically throwing her at the exit. Ella easily caught the top of the exit door on her way out, hanging on it for a moment before she let herself drop onto the next obstacle.

"Save yourself," Levi said, extending an arm towards her.

Meanwhile Alex was laughing hysterically behind him, only quiet when Levi managed to grab ahold of his collar. Ella let go, the boys vanishing from her vision as Alex started to scream. She was on a path made of an inflatable obstacle then, ropes forming an intricate maze in front of her so she had to duck and practically climb through to get to the other side. Will was lying tangled in them, looking knocked out, and just when Ella was about to slap his face to check if he was alright someone called out.

"O my God, what happened?"

Mia and Ava stood at the other end of the obstacle, one with worried eyes and the other carrying a smirk, Ella waving at them both.

So far for romance.
