Family Day Pt. 2

SOOBIN POV

I met Ms. Lee right outside the gate of Neverland Academy. Being a ward & an orphan I didn't feel comfortable having her come visit me on the grounds. "Happy to see me, Soobin ah ?" I smiled as I hugged her.

In a way, Ms. Lee was my mother. Always took care of me... Always loved me as if I was her own. "Of course I missed you, Ms. Lee. I am so happy you came to see me." We sat on a bench when she noticed my wrist. "A mark of brotherhood ? Who have you began calling your brothers, Soobin ah ?"

I have no memory of getting this mark, but that didn't mean that I couldn't honor a mark as this one. "There are five in total. Four are my dorm mates & the fifth is our combat 101 teacher, Professor Jiwoo." I could tell she was worried I was being too impulsive, but she didn't say this.

What I got in return was her passing a rolled up paper to me. "이게 뭐예요, 이 선생님? 중요한 일인가요?" (What is this, Ms. Lee ? Is it important ?) A sigh left her, but a smile still graced her face. "Open it, Soobin. It would do you some good." I gulped as I slowly opened the paper. I felt myself gasp as I read what was written before me.

My Dearest Soobin, you are my son. A true son of magic. My son... My darling boy, you were never meant to be abandoned. There is real magic that flows in your veins, Soobin. When your time at the Neverland Academy ends, I wish to see you enter Merlin' Forest.

"Is this real ? Is this sorceress really my mother ?", I asked as I was in shock. Ms. Lee rested a hand on my shoulder. "I've checked it out. She leads a clan of mages & has been very well searching for her heir. As soon as she had seen a picture of you from the orphanage she cried like I've never seen..."

"She commands a clan ?" Ms. Lee nodded as she could see this was a lot for me to take in. "She does. She is seems rather pleased that she has found you at last." My eyes drifted to my mark. "제가 그들을 포기해야 할까요? 제 친구들이요?" (Would I have to give them up ? My friends ?)

She probably could sense what my questions really meant. "Absolutely not, Soobin ah. I am sure your mother would understand your bond with your friends. I think she only wishes to finally have you home."

It wasn't long before the bell. We needed to say goodbye. I hugged her tightly, "I will miss you dearly." Ms. Lee laughed as she placed a kiss on my forehead. "I will always love you, Soobin. That won't change because I tend to more children that still need me. Understand ?"

A few moments later I watched Ms. Lee disappear as she walked away from the academy' gate.
