"Connor!" Evan calls from his locker. It's thursday morning at school that week. Earlier, the boys had decided that they weren't going to make any attempts to hide their relationship. If anyone starts trouble, they will have to deal with Connor Murphy. Evan's still coming to terms with his sexuality. He likes boys. He likes Connor. He thinks he likes girls, but maybe thats just because he never gave it much thought. He just assumed that he did.

"Hey honey" Connor says sweetly to Evan, walking up to him and giving him a kiss. Evan smiles and takes his boyfriends hand, talking about how boring sleeping is without each other. Connor starts to smile at the memory of last weekend, snuggling and watching movies for hours on end.

"We should hang out again this weekend." Connor says sweetly.
"Yeah! You could sleep over tomorrow night after school." "Sounds awesome." Connor says, as the bell goes.

Connor walks into english later that day, excited to see his boyfriend. He looks around and feels a warmth. He has something, someone, to care for. To stay for. To protect. He waves at Evan before walking to his seat, getting his book out.

Connor spends the lesson staring at Evan, thinking about how lucky he is. He's definitely going to fail english this semester. "Connor?" Miss Flemming says impatiently from the front "gawking again?"

Connor looks at Evan and smiles. "Yes miss. Sorry miss." Evan looks back to his work, blushing brightly. Jared laughs and mumbles something to Evan. "Back to work Murphy." Miss Flemming says, smiling slightly. She knows exactly what's happening.

After class, the boys walk hand in hand to recess, Jared trailing beside them, talking to them about computers and some new band he's been "really into recently". They sit outside under a tree and eat and chat. Connor and Jared talk about common interests (mainly Evan) and what school assignments they have to do. Jared tells Connor that vaping is a much healthier alternative to using a bong, and Connor tells him that they should try it together sometime. Evan sits quietly and smiles at them. The men he loves most in the world, sitting and chatting. They are all content.

In science after lunch, the gay resumes. Evan has taken to wearing thicker pants, to hide any times he gets hard. Connor decided to grow out his nails, so that he can claw Evans back, something he has grown quite fond of doing in science class when no one is looking. His chipped black polish sometimes flaking off and getting stuck to Evans shirt.

At the end of the day, Connor drives Evan home, Zoe making jokes from the back seat. She could see how happy they had made each other already.

After a third goodbye kiss, Zoe climbed into the front seat and the two continued home.

Connor locked himself in his bedroom alone, as usual.
