Since I Last Laid Eyes on You
Every night I go to work
In the morning I come home
Working like a dog in search of one more measly bone
Every now and every then I lose my point of view
Cause I've had the blues since I last laid eyes on you
Every time I hear that train
I think it's time to go
Every time the seasons change and that cold wind starts to blow
Way down south in Mexico that surely ought to do
Cause I get the blues every time I think of you
If the stars could have their way we'd be together again
Sharing life from day to day through thick and thin
Every night I go to work
In the morning, I come home
Working like a dog trying to dig up one more measly bone
In between I try my best to catch a wink or two
But I've had the blues since I last laid eyes on you
