Previously on Survivor...

After their ally was voted out, Finn and Gil harbored ill will towards Lorraine, Nadine, and Sherman. George, Jasmine, and Ahmed established their new alliance when on reward. However, George discovered that Finn wanted to use George as a number to get to the end. Thus, the rest of the players formed a pact against Gil and Finn, and Finn was voted out, becoming the second member of the jury.

Night 24

Fuaguerra - Post-Tribal

(The seven members of Fuaguerra set their torches down)

George: Well, that was easy.

Sherman: Yep.

Gil: I guess.

(Gil wanders off to the beach and lays on the sand)

Gil (CON): I'm not in an ideal position as of now. I'm on the bottom, so I need to be the swing vote. These alliances need to turn on each other.

(Lorraine, Sherman, Nadine, George, Ahmed, and Jasmine talk near the shelter)

Ahmed: So... what do you guys wanna do now? Separate and compete for the swing vote?

Lorraine: We can vote out Gil and then fight it out, I guess.

Sherman: Whatever. I don't really want to work with you guys anymore, sorry.

Jasmine: Let's take a vote.

George: All right.

Nadine: All in favor of voting out Gil and then maybe going to rocks?

Sherman: Aye.

George: That could work.

Nadine: And everyone else wants to fight for the swing vote.

Lorraine: Yes.

Ahmed: So let's do that then.

Jasmine: I agree.

Lorraine: Okay, I'm going over there to talk to Gil, right now.

George: Dang it!

(Ahmed shakes his head)

Ahmed (CON): So we are at war right now because this is how things have shaken up. I need to be on the winning side.

(Lorraine approaches Gil)

Lorraine: Hi.

Gil: Hey.

Lorraine: So who are you interested in working with now that Finn's gone?

Gil: Anyone.

Lorraine: So even me, Nadine, and Sherman.

Gil: Yeah. Well, maybe. Look, we haven't exactly-

Lorraine: Had the best relationship. Yeah. Just think about it, okay?

Gil: Okay...

(Lorraine walks off)

Gil (CON): Well! I feel stuck in the middle. Or maybe Lorraine was trying to deceive me. I guess only time will tell.

Day 25

Reward Challenge

(Shots over the competition ground is shown, along with dramatic music in the background)

Jeff: Come on in, guys!

(The Fuaguerra castaways enter)

Jeff: Are you guys ready to get to your next reward challenge?

Castaways: Yeah!

Jeff: You'll start by untying bags of puzzle pieces, which will give you the puzzle that will reveal the combination you'll need to unlock a chest, which holds nine sandbags. You'll then need to place those bags on a seesaw-like plank of wood and launch them into an overhead basket. The first person to get all nine bags in their basket wins reward. Want to know what you're playing for?

Castaways: Yes!

Jeff: You'll be taking a trip to the Survivor Sandwich Cafe! You'll enjoy sandwiches with all the fillings and bread you could ever want. To accompany it, all the tea and coffee you could drink!

(The castaways erupt with cheers)

Jeff: We'll draw for spots and then we'll get started.

Highlights:

1, Right out of the gate, Sherman and Ahmed are quick with untying the bags of puzzle pieces. George and Lorraine follow shortly. Ahmed gets his second sandbag into the basket. Once everyone is shooting, Ahmed has two sandbags, Sherman has one, Gil has one, and everyone else has nothing in their baskets.

2. Twenty minutes later, Nadine struggles with the shooting, only having gotten one sandbag in her basket. Sherman has pulled ahead of Ahmed, with them having five sandbags and four sandbags respectively. George and Lorraine have three sandbags at this point, and Jasmine and Gil manage to stay in the race with two.

3. Eventually, Ahmed catches up to Sherman, with three consecutive successful sandbag throws. Five minutes pass and Ahmed scores his ninth sandbag.

Jeff: Ahmed wins reward!

(Sherman shakes his head in frustration as Ahmed celebrates his reward win. The castaways return to their mat)

Jeff: Excellent effort, Ahmed. But you must now choose two other people to share this reward with. You cannot enjoy it alone.

Ahmed: Um, I pick Lorraine, and Sherman.

(George and Jasmine look betrayed)

Lorraine: Thanks!

Sherman: Thank you.

Jeff: All right. Head back to camp, and your reward will be waiting for you.

George: What?

Jeff: As for the rest of you, head back to camp. No reward for you guys.

(The seven castaways trek back to camp)

George (CON): Well, that was unexpected! But maybe it was some sort of a strategy. Maybe it just gives me and Jasmine more opportunity to win over Gil!

Day 25

Fuaguerra - Post-Reward

(Nadine, Gil, Jasmine, and George return to the main portion of camp)

Nadine: Good try, everyone.

Jasmine: Same to you, Nadine. I wonder why Ahmed picked those two to come with him. Seems very suspicious.

Gil: I would think so.

(George tends to the fire while Gil, Jasmine, and Nadine roam around camp collecting firewood. Nadine approaches George)

Nadine: Do you know why Ahmed picked Sherman and Lorraine? Did he discuss it with you or something?

George: What? No. It came as a shock to me too. Maybe he just wanted to give everyone a chance at reward.

Nadine: Maybe.

George (CON): Nadine knows her group's in trouble. This is why I need to convince Gil to vote with us.

(George, Jasmine, and Gil sit on the sand)

Gil: So who do you guys want out right now?

Jasmine: I personally think Sherman should go. He seems really mad at you for betraying him.

Gil: I would think so.

George: It's whatever we decide. All of them are threats except Nadine. She's a goat right now.

Gil: Goats can be dangerous too.

George: You're right. Lorraine is a social threat as well.

(Nadine stands, watching Gil, Jasmine, and George talk)

Nadine (CON): I know those three are plotting something. Our side needs to get the last word in so we can sway Gil to our direction, or else it could be game over for my alliance.

(The camera switches to Lorraine, Ahmed, and Sherman, arriving to see a feast of sandwiches, soft drinks, and bread)

Lorraine: This is amazing!

Sherman: I know.

(Lorraine, Sherman, and Ahmed sit down on three chairs)

Sherman: I'm pretty surprised you didn't pick George and Jasmine, Ahmed.

Ahmed: Well, I wanted to not make our relationship obvious, you know.

Lorraine: It already is.

Ahmed: More than it already is.

Sherman: Gotcha.

Lorraine (CON): Well, now that I think about it, it seems to me that Ahmed purposely left Jasmine and George with Gil so that they can take up his time and gain his swing vote. But that doesn't mean I can't enjoy my reward.

Sherman: I haven't had bread sticks in, like, forever.

(The camera fades out as Lorraine, Sherman, and Ahmed make their way back to the main camp)

Lorraine: We're back!

Ahmed: Hey.

Jasmine: Yay!

(Sherman and Gil sit in the shelter)

Sherman: Did you enjoy your time at camp?

Gil: What?

Sherman: Did you talk to George and Jasmine?

Gil: I talked with everyone... are you asking if we strategized?

Sherman: Yep.

Gil: Part of the game.

(Gil walks off)

Sherman (CON): It's obvious to me that Gil favors the other side more than us. That's not happening.

(Sherman walks to the well)

(Lorraine and Nadine find Gil, while they all gather near the hammock)

Nadine: What's wrong?

Gil: Sherman asked me what I did when he was gone. It's none of his business.

Lorraine: I wouldn't say it is.

(Lorraine walks to the well to meet Sherman where Jasmine, Ahmed, and George are also are)

Lorraine: There you are, Sherman. We need to talk.

(Lorraine and Sherman walk in a different direction while George, Ahmed, and Jasmine watch)

Jasmine: What happened?

George: Well, Sherman must've done something bad, unfortunately.

Ahmed (CON): I overheard Sherman's 'questioning'. It's crazy how much I predicted war to happen and it did! This is exactly what I wanted to happen.

(The camera focuses on Lorraine and Sherman)

Sherman: What's this about?

Lorraine: Why did you do that? You almost ruined our chances!

Sherman: We needed to talk to him. Or someone needed to.

Lorraine: Not like that! Look, I'm gonna go apologize to him. Just remember not to behave like that again, okay?

Sherman: Fine.

Lorraine (CON): Sherman needs to be aware of the consequences of his actions. He severely impacted and endangered myself and Nadine's games in addition to his own.

(Lorraine meets Gil on the beach)

Lorraine: Hey. I just wanted to apologize for what happened. I hope you didn't feel forced to talk by him. This type of behavior almost never happens at camp.

Gil: Oh, you don't need to. It's fine. What's done is done.

Lorraine: You know, Ahmed's another threat you need to consider. He can't be trusted with what he pulled.

Gil: I know.

Gil (CON): I truly feel at a crossroads. If I trust one side, the other will want me out. So, I need to act like I'm in a position of power, because I am.

Day 26

Fuaguerra

(As the sun rises, Nadine and Jasmine relax on the hammock)

Nadine: I like being up early.

Jasmine: Me too. We have only thirteen days left.

Nadine: I know, it's crazy. So who are you guys thinking of voting out? It's fine if you say me. I'll fight to stay here.

Jasmine: Oh, um, we've made cases for all three of you guys, actually. I don't know yet.

(Ahmed approaches them)

Ahmed: What are you two doing up so early?

Nadine: I'm thinking.

Jasmine: I just come here to reflect on everything that's happened in this game.

Ahmed: Okay.

Ahmed (CON): I'm starting to be a little suspicious of Jasmine and Nadine. Whatever bond they've formed can't come any closer. The plan can't be ruined.

(Sometime later, George, Ahmed, and Jasmine meet somewhere outside of camp)

George: So what's the plan?

Ahmed: Sherman's an easy vote. Then we can get Gil on our side easily.

Jasmine: We'll see about that. I spotted Lorraine talking to Gil for what seemed like a while.

Ahmed: Lorraine's a suck-up. But Gil will never vote her out because of that.

George: She's nicer than Sherman, though. And we'll worry about Nadine later.

Jasmine (CON): I've really spent time with Nadine and gotten to know her very well. I hope it never comes time to vote her out.

Day 27

Immunity Challenge

(Dramatic music plays as the castaways head into their next Immunity challenge)

Jeff: Come on in, guys!

(The seven castaways stand on their mat)

Jeff: Are you ready for today's Immunity challenge?

Castaways: Yeah!

Jeff: All right. Gil, you need to bring me that back, please.

(Gil hands Jeff the Immunity necklace)

Jeff: Once again, Immunity is back up for grabs. For today's challenge, I'm going to show you a series of symbols, which you'll then repeat back to me on an answer cube. If you get one incorrect, you're out. Last one standing wins immunity and is guaranteed a one in six shot at winning the game. Let's get started.

Highlights:

1. The first round consisted of five symbols: torch, necklace, fire, cannon, and skull. George guessed 'cannon' instead of 'fire', making him eliminated. Nadine incorrectly guessed 'necklace'.

2. The second round consisted of six symbols: canteen, boat, flag, skull, necklace, and cannon. Jasmine incorrectly guessed 'boat' instead of 'cannon', and Sherman incorrectly guessed 'flag' and 'skull'. Ahmed, Lorraine, and Gil moved on to the final round.

3. The third round consisted of seven symbols: flag, skull, flag, cannon, torch, boat, and skull. Ahmed did not say 'flag' twice, and Lorraine said 'cannon' instead of 'skull'. Gil's order was correct, giving him the win.

Jeff: Gil wins Immunity for the second time in a row!

Gil: Thank God.

(Everyone congratulates Gil)

(Timeskip to when the castaways are standing on their tribe mat. Jeff places the Immunity necklace over Gil's neck)

Jeff: Congratulations, Gil. What a sharp mind of yours. You are now safe from tonight's vote and have a one in six shot at winning the game. For the rest of you, after twenty-seven days, someone's journey is about to come to an end. They will become the tenth person voted out and the third member of the Jury. You have the afternoon to figure out who that's going to be. Grab your stuff, head back to camp. I'll see you at Tribal.

Nadine (CON): Since the possibility of voting out Gil is no longer possible, I need to figure out who I'm gonna vote for. Because I don't want to vote out anyone I consider my friend.

Day 27

Fuaguerra

(The seven castaways return back to camp)

Lorraine: Well done, Gil.

Gil: Thank you.

George (CON): Gil definitely has the most power tonight. The question is if my alliance can manage not to mess up our interactions with him, unlike someone...

(Lorraine, Nadine, and Sherman talk in the shelter)

Lorraine: I personally want Ahmed out.

Sherman: Me too. He's also good at challenges.

Nadine: I'm gonna see if I can get Gil on board.

Lorraine: You going to get him?

Nadine: Yep.

(Nadine comes up to Gil, laying on the beach)

Nadine: I would seriously consider voting out Ahmed. He almost beat you in the Immunity challenge.

Gil: Yeah, I know. I'll consider it. I'll consider both options.

(The camera fades away from the camp and then focuses on Gil laying on the beach)

Gil (CON): It's very weird knowing I decide who leaves. I can't make the wrong decision.

(George, Ahmed, and Jasmine arrive and sit on the sand with Gil)

George: Are we good?

Gil: I think so. I don't like what he did to me. At the same time, though, he's not that big of a threat.

Jasmine: I understand.

Ahmed (CON): Okay. Gil should still feel betrayed by Sherman, so why not use this opportunity to his benefit? Whatever Gil does, I hope he doesn't vote me out!

(The seven castaways grab their torches and head off to Tribal Council as the sun sets)

Tribal Council:

(The Fuaguerra tribe walks in)

(Fuaguerra takes their seats)

Jeff: Welcome to Tribal again, Fuaguerra. So, Lorraine, what are the tribal dynamics?

Lorraine: Well, there's two sides. Me, Nadine, and Sherman are on one side, and George, Jasmine, and Ahmed are on the other. Gil is stuck in the middle.

Jeff: So are you starting to feel the pressure even though you have Immunity, Gil?

Gil: Absolutely. Immunity is only temporary and the people I don't choose to go with could distrust me for the rest of the game.

Jeff: Well, will you guys?

Jasmine: Possibly. I mean, if one of us was in that situation of choosing between people, we would want to play extra hard just to stay in the game.

Jeff: This is what happens in this game. Gil, you didn't have a choice to be the swing vote, but that decision played out one tribal ago.

Gil: Yeah.

Sherman: Well, what do you want me to say? "I'm sorry?"

Gil: Excuse me? It's a game.

George: Exactly.

Jeff: Wow. Okay, good luck to all of you tonight. It's time to vote. Ahmed, you're up.

(A montage of all of the Fuaguerra castaways voting occurs. Lorraine's is shown)

Lorraine voted for Ahmed

Lorraine: Your time has come.

Jeff: I'll go tally the votes.

(Jeff returns with the urn)

Jeff: Once the votes are read, the decision is final. The person voted out will leave the Tribal Council area immediately. I'll read the votes.

First vote:

SHERMAN

(Sherman does not look phased)

SHERMAN

That's two votes Sherman.

SHERMAN

(Sherman raises his eyebrows)

That's three votes Sherman.

AHMED

One vote Ahmed, three votes Sherman.

(Ahmed nods his head)

AHMED

That's three votes Sherman, two votes Ahmed.

(Ahmed bites his inner lip)

AHMED

We're tied. That's three votes Sherman, three votes Ahmed, one vote left.

(Both Sherman and Ahmed look anxious)

Tenth person voted out and the third member of our jury...

SHERMAN

Jeff: You need to bring me your torch.

Sherman: Okay. Bye, guys.

(Sherman gets up, grabs his torch and whispers in Lorraine's ear)

Lorraine: It's okay.

(Sherman hands his torch to Jeff)

Jeff: Sherman, the tribe is spoken.

(Sherman leaves)

Jeff: Well, sometimes you can never truly control your spot on the totem pole. Grab your stuff, head back to camp, good night.

Final Words:

Sherman: I was voted out clearly because everyone thought I was a strong player. And I take that as a compliment!
