with Jackson + Spencer

ANOTHER LONG CASE IN a far away city meant hotel rooms. Sure, they were the elite, but they could only do so much before they needed rest. Jackson was thankful when Hotch told them to get some sleep, and he was even more thankful when he was paired with his boyfriend— somehow the team had yet to figure out the secret relationship.

Zero words were exchanged as they carried their bags to their room, and Jackson was first to shower. He didn't take long, and dressed in his sleep clothes. He laid on the bed, of his choice, and flipped through mindless channels on the television as Spencer took his shower.

Jackson looked up once he heard the door click about fifteen minutes later. He smiled, sleepily, as his boyfriend left the bathroom.

"You want me to read a chapter, or are you too tired?" Spencer asked casually as he dried his hair. He hadn't even glanced at his boyfriend yet, this was their typical routine. "Honestly, if we skip one chapter, I think we'll be okay."

"I'm sure you're tired, so let's just some sleep, yeah?" Jackson suggested softly as he leaned his elbow against the pillow and rested his chin the palm of his hand. "A goodnight kiss and cuddles sound great right now."

Spencer had turned around and smiled softly. He nodded as he crawled into bed beside his boyfriend. Jackson leaned down and pressed a sleepy, lingering kiss to Spencer's lips, and smiled softly as he pulled away. Frankly, Jackson only went for the one kiss, but Spencer had wrapped his hand around the back of his boyfriend's neck and pulled him down for a series of small kisses.

"I love you."

Jackson hummed softly, "I love you too."

He had wrapped his arm around Spencer's body as he snuggled closer to the larger man and tucked himself into Jackson's chest. Jackson pressed one last kiss to Spencer's forehead as the younger man fell asleep. This— this would always be Jackson's heaven, his paradise and safe place.

Hotel beds and sleepy kisses were always Jackson's favorite part about long cases.
