Talia stretched and sat up, blinking blurrily as her attention moved to the shirtless guy next to her. "Zane," Talia rested her hand on his shoulder, gently shaking it. The hybrid rolled over, smiling sleepily at her.

"Hey, T. Good morning, beautiful." Zane sat up, pressing his lips gently to hers. Talia smiled lightly, kissing him back.

He might just be a revenge one-night stand to piss of Klaus, but he was actually really sweet and the Companion was enjoying this.

She quirked her lips up in a half smile before pushing the sheets off her arms. "Good morning, Zane." Talia climbed out of the bed, tying her curls up, which was difficult. She tugged Zane's shirt farther down her legs, heading to her dresser for pants. Zane came up behind her, pressing his lips against her neck.

"You're so gorgeous, Talia, how have you and Klaus not gotten together, yet? Not that I'm complaining." Talia laughed, turning to face the hybrid.

The duo kissed, Talia's hands wrapping around his neck, a smile on her lips.

It was that moment that Klaus decided to waltz into Talia's room.

The Hybrid's blue gaze latched onto the couple kissing. His mouth dropped open, recognizing his hybrid kissing his soulmate. Klaus growled lowly, a furious look on his face. The two's heads snapped up, one looked terrified the other one was smirking.

"Hello, Klaus, how are you?" Talia rested back, a smile on her lips, brown eyes glittering. Zane tightened his grip on Talia's waist, studying Klaus.

The Hybrid growled again, his hand rolling into a tight fist. "I want you to leave and never go near her again," Klaus spoke to the hybrid. Zane twitched and nodded, he walked out only in his trousers, sending an apologetic look to Talia.

The brunette stretched and frowned, glaring at Klaus. "Now you aren't letting me date people, can I have a life or is that restricted too?" Talia crossed her arms, walking past him, still wearing nothing except Zane's shirt.

Klaus's gaze was focused primarily on her long legs, his eyes moving up her body until it reached the muscles in her back only covered by the tight cloth. "I'm not restricting, I just think that one of my hybrids is a tad cliche revenge material, Talia." He stepped forward, moving into her line of sight.

The girl rolled her eyes and wrestled with her hair as she pulled the hair thing out, letting the curls fall around her shoulders in a bit of a poof.

She grabbed a hair spritzer, wetting the curls a bit before dragging a comb through them. Her dark eyes focused on her reflection as she grabbed some essential oils, rubbing them into her palms before easing them over her dark hair. Eventually, after some more product, she was able to pull it up into a clean bun.

"It might not be revenge, Klaus, maybe this time it's true love." Her voice was snippy and teasing, chocolate gaze focused on Klaus.

Her attention was like that of a snake on a snake charmer. That fear he instilled upon her for perfection rolling over her muscles, engulfing her entirety within it. Her posture straightened, one acrylic nail scratched at the knuckle of her thumb as she kept her eyes on his. Looking away was proving to him he was more dominant and he would take any opportunity to put her in her place.

One long leg took a slow step towards him, her movements graceful as she shortened the distance between them. Her heart rate quickened at his close proximity, her pupils dilating mildly.

Klaus almost laughed at the way she reacted to him. Her lips were pulled into a smirk as his gaze drew her in further. In a moment they were merely inches away from each other, earthy brown clashing with arctic blue. He resisted the urge to pull her closer, both fighting for dominance and power. Energy zapped between them, their personalities clashing like fire on fire.

"We're heading to Texas in an hour, get ready. Make sure you pack that diamond correctly, I don't want thirty million going to waste if you break something." His voice was chillingly venomous, their gazes staying rapt on each other.

Talia felt zaps up her spine as she gave in, turning away first. She could feel his victorious smirk, causing her cheeks to redden. The Companion spun around when she heard him exit the room. "Klaus, wait." He didn't turn, just paused to wait for whatever she had to say. "I do love you, but one day you're going to lose me, and you won't be able to turn back." Her voice was gentle, eyes focused on his back.

She watched him take in a deep shuddering breath before letting it out. "Come to the car when you're ready, and remember to eat breakfast, your favorite cereal is on the counter." He shut the door and left her alone in the room, a frown pulling her lips downwards.

Talia rested her cheek against the passenger window, watching the scenery flash by. Klaus's army were in a RV behind them. The Hybrid had compelled a massive RV to lug them around with. The brunette wished she could be in the RV, but her soulmate didn't trust the hybrids with her and forced her to be with him.

"Klaus, I'm hungry." Talia lifted her gaze to meet his, her voice clipped and sharp. If she wasn't starving she wouldn't have said anything.

"I know, I felt it. I'm heading for a diner. Ten more minutes, love." He didn't bother looking at her, keeping his eyes on the road. She frowned and looked back out the window, watching the horizon. When she was hungry, her stomach hurt, and when her stomach hurt she got carsick, so now she was carsick and hungry.

Klaus reached over, taking her hand as if understanding her thought process. He did know she got carsick when hungry, so he was driving as fast as he could in the speed limit without making her even more sick.

Talia's stomach hurt too much for her to even be repulsed by his hand in hers. She just huffed and looked out the window, her other hand clutching her stomach with a grimace. Being carsick sucked.

Klaus pulled the car to a stop, waving at the RV to park next to them. He told his hybrids to wait before opening Talia's door and letting her rest on him as she got her bearings and the carsickness faded.

"Come on, sweetheart, one chai and sandwich coming right up." His arm stayed around her waist as they walked inside. Talia pulled away from him gently, walking up to the counter to make her order. The diner was pretty empty, but she didn't care, she was starving.

The couple settled down near the counter as they waited for their order to come, Klaus's attention focused on Talia who was on her phone, scrolling through Instagram. "What's got your attention?" His voice was playful, eyes trying to get a view of her screen which she promptly hid.

"Nothing that involves you." When their eyes met they once again focused blankly on each other, trying to gain power, but were interrupted by a waitress coming up with their food.

"Y'all are so cute, you married?" The woman's thick drawl filled the air as she tried to make small-talk with the Companions.

"Yes," Klaus said at the same time Talia spat out a "No,". Their eyes clashed again and the waitress's brows shot to her hairline before she scurried away.

The Monroe girl took her things and walked back to the car, leaving the Hybrid alone in the diner. He sighed, resting his forehead against his palms. "Bloody hell am I gonna do with her?"
