Chapter 9: "I was wrong."
Nobody's pov:
Classic had felt really bad for what he had done to Red. He didn't want to break his heart, he just wanted to keep him safe. He thought about him all day. He couldn't stop thinking about what had happened. He shouldn't have been so harsh. A week passed by and Frisk had finally fallen down. Though, ever since Red had come there, the timelines were mixed up. All the au Sanses and gasters started visiting eachother more often. And soon enough, timelines were expanding. That changed the original au, causing some minor things to happen. Instead of Frisk falling, it was classic Chara, who had a lot of compassion for monsters. Alphys was a little more distant, but still was there for her friends. And Gaster... was nowhere to be seen. He had disappeared for this timeline. Luckily, he did call Sans and Papyrus once a week to get some information. Chara seemed to be doing a pacifist route, so Classic helped them on their journey to helping the monsters escape the underground.
Back in Underfell, Red was very saddened. Classic was the only person that truly made him happy. Everything in this universe sucked. Chara was his only friend. The Frisk in his au had disappeared and they weren't replaced by Chara. Everyday, Red would leave 3 more marks on his wrists. He barely ate, and was almost always in his room. Chara was, of course, concerned. But, the only power they possessed was to reset, and that wouldn't do any good. Red couldn't just take his own life. He thought that he deserved it. He must've done something wrong if Classic broke up with him.
Right now, he was hopeless.
Classic's POV:
"Sans! Pick up your sock!" Paps yelled from the living room. "I'm coming, I'm coming." I walked down the stairs to see a concerned Papyrus. "Anything wrong bro?" "Well, you've been acting a little... gloomy lately. Anything on your mind?" "Nah, I haven't noticed any changes," I lied. Paps crossed his arms. "Alright, but if you ever need to talk about anything, I'm right here. Now do me a favor and pick up your sock." I picked up the sock and teleported it upstairs. As soon as I teleported back, I was greeted by some knocking on the door. It was Chara, who looked pretty beat up. "Things didn't go well with Undyne, huh?" "Nope. And I'm all out of healing items." "Well then, come inside." I walked them to the couch, and got them some of Paps' spaghetti. I then sat down on the couch turning the tv on for them. "Hey Sans? Last time I was here, I found this on the floor of your room." They showed me a photograph of Red and I.
I quickly took the photo from them and put it in my pocket. "Who's the other skeleton?" They asked curiously. I hesitated for a little. "...That's Red. My ex-boyfriend." "Why did you break up?" I went silent. "Sorry, you don't have to answer that!" "Nah, it's alright kiddo. You deserve to know." The lights in my sockets disappeared. "For a while, Frisk kept doing genocide runs over and over again. Killing everyone I've ever known and loved. Then, Red came to me. He was all beaten up so I brought him into the house and patched everything up. Eventually, we got together. The Frisk from his au came and killed everyone. So, in this timeline, I broke up with him to keep him safe." Tears started forming in my eyesockets. "But... if you leave Red with them... aren't you doing what they want?" I didn't think of that. They tried changing the subject. "He looks so flustered." They started giggling. I laughed too. "Yeah, he was flustered easily. His brother wasn't really kind to him, so he wasn't used to anything we did." I noticed that Chara's hp had healed all the way back to 20. "Well, I think you should continue your journey." "Alright, I'll see you guys later." They waved goodbye and made their way to hotland. I looked at the photo again and again. Now that Frisk is gone and Chara's here, doesn't that mean that there will be a forever pacifist timeline? If that's the case, I can see Red again. Hopefully he doesn't hate me for what I've done. Afterall, it's been a month. I sighed and walked to my room. I would see him again soon.
(A few weeks pass and all the monsters are on the surface.)
I made a portal and teleported to Red's universe. Today was the day, I would finally fix what I had broken. I ran to his house and knocked on the door. This time Chara opened it. "Oh, it's you." Instead of having a normally friendly expression, they looked more pissed. "Is everything alright kiddo?" They stayed silent and just slammed the door. I made a portal into his house so that I could avoid them. Edge was downstairs, making lasagna. He didn't have a very friendly expression on his face. I sighed and knocked on Red's door. "Knock knock." No response. "Red?" Nothing again. "Red, if you're close to the door, move." I then blasted the door down. I checked around his room, and saw a pile of dust. Oh no. I felt the burning tears falling down my face. This wouldn't have happened if I didn't break up. That's why they're upset. I murdered him. I kept sobbing uncontrollably. The kid came to his room and glared at me. I had become what I hate most.
A murderer.

...
"Sans! Wake up!" I felt Paps tugging in my shirt. "Huh?" "You've been crying in your sleep again. Something's wrong Sans, and you can't deny it." I can't just tell him about any of this. "It's all fine Paps, I promise. It was just a bad dream. I watched a horror movie while you were gone." He didn't seem convinced, but he knew he wouldn't get any information. I heard him sigh. "Alright. But please, don't feel like you can't trust me." He walked out of the room and gently closed the door. I do trust him. I... just can't talk about anything to anyone. I looked out the window. The stars were so beautiful. They helped me calm down. I would see Red. Soon.
(To be continued...)
Btw, I made a sanscest oneshot thing you should check out. Maybe request something.
