Every story is a promise to the reader.

You opened the story by making a promise that the character would accomplish something. In Step 6, we got the character there, but the story isn't really finished until the reader is satisfied.

In this last step, you will close out the story with the same MICE element that you started with. You will emphasize what has shifted in the story for the reader. Remember, you should include Who (action or reflection), Where (sensory detail), and Genre (something specific related to the mood/tone of the change).

Instructions: Set the timer for three minutes and write three sentences to complete the promise you made to the reader.
