Chapter 2
It was dark. Very dark. Silverkit pushed her wet pelt against Nightkits blood stained fur. They safely made it to to Sunningrocks but on the way Nightkit fell into a thorn bush and was now all scratched up and bleeding. Every time a scratch would start to sting, she would squeal silently and wake up Silverkit. " Do you think Starstream will come back for us Nightkit?" Silverkit squeaked now awake.
" Of course she will! " Nightkit answered impatiently. The went into silence. Silverkit could hear water dripping from the ceiling on the cold, damp floor and nudged closer to Nightkit for her comfort. She couldn't get the thought out of her head that something was wrong back in camp. Surely Starstream should of came back for them long ago! Pain stabbed her heart at the thought of losing her mother. She thought of the night she had to say goodbye to Starstream. Her eyes started to feel heavy with sleep and before she knew it, she was fast asleep. Silverkit blinked open her eyes and realized she wasn't in the cold cave anymore. She was on Starclan's hunting grounds. Silverkit looked around nervously not knowing why she was here and why Starclan called her. Just as she thought that, she saw movement at the corner of her eye but before she could look at the cat, it disappeared in the thick forest surrounding her. She could hear whispers but couldn't determine what they were saying.
"Hello? Can somebody talk to me?" she demanded.
" Great danger is coming to the forest and five skies have to unite together to survive!" many voices whispered.
"What do you mean? Why are you giving me a prophecy?" she whispered in a trembling voice.
Everything started swirling and Starclan started fading away.
"No wait, don't go I don't understand!" Silverkit squeaked but she was already back in the cave with Nightkit.
"You were twitching in your sleep so I woke you up. Were you having a nightmare?" Nightkit asked gently.
Silverkit hesitated. She didn't want to tell her sister about her dream.
"No, I was just a little cold that's it" she murmured.
Nightkit eyed her suspiciously but didn't say anything. If her sister didn't want to tell her something it was her choice. She didn't care as long as Silverkit would tell her at some point.
