I posted the above link to this video as while searching through forums, collaborating ideas, or asking for feedback on my ideas,  I found one that had some really good theories and ways that Game of Thrones could have been written better, which no one had any intention in using for a fanfiction. Then, after I had written much of my ending, with a few tweaks cause of Aelinor and Daemon and ideas of my own thrown in, I noticed someone leave a link. Basically it was copied from this video. The person had stolen the ideas from this person and presented them as their own. The forum then disappeared. It got taken down or removed. So, I would like to credit this YouTuber with helping me piece together some of the prophecies and storylines (which surprisingly we came to similar or the same conclusion on some).

I already knew going in, I was going to change certain things. Like Arya killing the Night King, which made absolutely no sense. It was a badass moment, but completely ruined the whole Prince Who Was Promised Prophecy, whether it be Jon (as I'm somewhat inclined) or Dany (which confuses me based on certain phrasing like being the one to wake the dragons, which she did, especially since the noun has no gender in High Valyrian).

The Long Night happened much too simply. For all of the build up and worry, it was lackluster. Like in the prophecy, Jon ended up stabbing Daenerys, the woman he "loved" in the heart, as Azor Ahai did to his wife, but it did not create Lightbringer. At that point it didn't even matter, because the Night King was easily defeated within one episode. It definitely should have been drawn out over a few episodes where they were forced to flee the North or risk losing more of their fighters. Common sense would see them head to capital as they did, but instead of it being to deal with Cersei, it is to create more distance between them and the Night King and rally more fighting men. After they triumphed, they would already be in the Capital and could redirect attention to Dany removing Cersei from the Throne.

Also, as satisfying as it was to watch, Littlefinger's death could have served a greater purpose. He and Varys were arguably the greatest players, yet were killed off in lackluster ways.

Littlefinger is a legit high-functioning sociopath. However, unlike Joffrey, who is also a sociopath, he does not engage in outright sadism. He focuses on the bigger picture, instead of seeking instant gratification.

He was a man who came from nothing, who "fell in love" with a woman far above his station, including fighting Catelyn's then betrothed, Brandon Stark, in a losing effort. This allows him to realize he would be unable to "beat" men like this (from Great Houses or higher status), so he turns to indirectly, or subtly influencing events from behind the scenes.

Seeing Sansa, who is often described as the image of her mother with her Tully "colouring" is essentially a second chance for Petyr. As I noted, he is a sociopath, so he cannot form a true romantic bond with her, or anyone (which makes his occupation perfect for him), but it's more he'd rather possess her. In a way, it would almost be the ultimate victory. He outlived the Tullys and Starks directly involved in denying him Catelyn's hand, including Catelyn herself, and this would be the ultimate "f*ck you".

Again, it was enjoyable to see Littlefinger get karma for everything he had done by inciting the war. But, it would have been even more satisfying, if he came close to achieving what he sought, only for it to be ripped away by Sansa, the girl he claimed to love.

Jonerys shippers may not like me for this, but their relationship was so one dimensional. Even before I joined forums, I knew I would try to add complexity by having them distrust one another. The whole "My Queen" thing is so cringy.

I know some might say this about Daemon and Aelinor, but their relationship isn't cut and dry. They simply have a mutual respect for one another which makes their relationship progress more smoothly. They should hate each other, according to other people, simply because of the feud due to Robert's Rebellion. But, with Aelinor inheriting her Targaryen features from her great grandmother, a Targaryen, she is the odd one out. Which, I feel, in a way, Daemon related to as the second born son. He was a spare if anything happened to his older brother. Of course, when Rhaegar was killed, Daemon had fled, because he knew or predicted what would happen with what occured at the Tourney Of Harrenhal between Rhaegar and Lyanna.

Personally, I don't find the Mad Queen storyline to be as far off as many are inclined to believe. To me, Daenerys is morally ambiguous. Yes, she starts out as this naive girl who is abused by her brother, the only family member she knows. But, immediately following the death of her brother, her moral ambiguity becomes more clear. While it is an asset, her adaptability to survive in the Dothraki, almost desensitizes her to the suffering of others. Let me be clear, she is not completely desensitized, as evident by her work in the Free Cities. But, for example, when her husband talks of helping her seize her family's stolen throne, she knows what it would entail (pillaging, r*pe, etc), and her adaptability allows her to remain mostly unfazed by it, if it means going back "home". She has, more or less, adopted her brother's mission as her own.

Her understanding of Westeros is based solely on what she has been told by Viserys, who was a child when they were forced to flee Dragonstone with Ser Willem Darry, who died when Daenerys was about five. Viserys paints a picture where Targaryens are basically the sole victims of Robert's Rebellion and Dany does not really question this. At least until others tell her more of the story.

I don't think Daenerys was outright evil. She was kind, but thoughtless. She freed slaves, but didn't really have a long term plan to keep the cities from falling back into their ways, especially if/when she were to leave to claim the Iron Throne.

As a whole, it is kind of overlooked, the value of birthright. Daenerys has this notion that, as the last Targaryen (forget fAegon), she is the rightful heir to the Throne. But her ancestors won power over the Kingdoms by the right of conquest, as did Robert Baratheon (not a Bobby B fan).

Also, as much as people enjoyed seeing her harm the masters, when she ordered the crucifixion of one hundred and sixty three Mereenese nobles, she didn't even have proper investigations conducted. They were brought to her and assumed guilty. Who knows how many of them were innocent, at least other than being bystanders who allowed slavery.

Let me be clear; I do not think Daenerys is evil. In fact, on various occasions, she has proved otherwise. Unfortunately, she was inexperienced, and her councilors, did not give her great advice in certain situations. I've heard people say Tyrion is one of, if not the reason she failed. To an extent I agree, but I'm referring to TV Tyrion, whose character arc in the end of the show and leading up to it was pretty awful
