Cosplay...? NOT COSPLAY
"You done yet???" David asks, pounding on my door.
"Ya, one minute. I've just gotta do my hair," I answer, putting my hair into a perfect ponytail. I open the door and smile. He smiles back.
"Ready to go Pond?" He asks in his fake British accent. I laugh. We're both on our way to cosplay in the woods as The Doctor and Amy Pond. Both are characters from the TV show Doctor Who.
"Yes I am Doctor," I say with a smile in my fake, yet good Scottish accent, walking past him and outside.
I live in a two story house in the middle of the woods, but not to far from a small town. It's on a 200 acres of private land with a horse barn and three horses. There's also a field where I can practice my archery. You're probably wondering how a 21 year old girl got her hands on that kind of money. Well, I inherited it from my parents when they died in a car crash a few years ago. I got everything they own.
I walk towards the woods and go down one of the paths. It's a little chilly outside. A little more than usual for a summer day. And it seems to have an ere fog. Heh, seems perfect for cosplaying. I turn around and laugh as I see David goofily waving his sonic screwdriver around, sonicing random trees and stuff.
He holds the glowing Sonic close to his face and studies it. "we seem to be on earth." He says then looks up at me. "But something seems terribly odd..."
"What is it doctor? Could it have something to do with this fog? Or maybe it's just ghosts," I say in a sort of sarcastic tone.
"That's absolutely incorrect of you. Ghosts don't exist."
"Oh stop being such a sceptic and take your own advice Doctor. Anything can happen."
"Of course anything can ha-" he's suddenly cut off by the sound of a twig snapping. He goes silent.
I smile. "What is it doctor? Scared of a little squirrel?"
"That's not a squirrel, that's something much larger."
"And how could you possibly know that?"
"Because squirrels don't come out when it's foggy, they're to scared. And if it were a squirrel, it would've started making annoying noises at us like they usually do."
I pause. "So are you saying there's someone here...?"
He looks at me again. "Quite possibly...." He smiles. "Let's go investigate shall we?" He says. I wearily nod in agreement, following not too close behind.
We continue walking towards where we heard the stick break. I looks around us as we do so, drifting a little away but not noticing. What could that noise possibly have been if it wasn't a squirrel? It could be a deer but the deer here would've smelled us and ran away. It also could've just been a dog from my neighbor down the road... But the dog would have barked...
Before I know it, I'm lost and David is nowhere to be seen. Fog is all around, covering the entire area and making it impossible to see even a foot in front of me.
A soft sigh rolls off my lips and I start walking, calling David's name. There's no answer. Where could he possibly be? I'm starting to get a little scared... I take another step and my foot slips. I start falling, suddenly running into something, tumbling down a hill with it. I yelp in pain as I feel a sharp pain on my arm.
We come to a sudden halt. I'm laying flat on the ground, the thing I ran into on top of me. I slowly open my eyes and look up at the object to see I'm face to face with a man. His face is just inches from mine and we're staring into each others eyes. I blush and study him and realize he's also cosplaying. I know this because he has a Sharingan contact and a Rinnegan contact.
My jaw drops as I realize he's cosplaying as my favorite character from Naruto Shippuden, Obito Uchiha.
He slowly pulls away but stops when he looks down at my arm. I study him. He's amazing at cosplaying Obito. Though, I'm not sure how he managed to also do the scarring on his face. But regardless, everything is perfect. Even his expression. Though, for some reason there's a hint of worry in his eyes as he looks at my arm.
Wait... Why's he looking at my arm...? I wince and grip it as I feel a sharp pain again. He frowns, looking into my eyes.
"Let me see your wound," he says. I hesitate but slowly nod and pull my hand away, wincing as I feel the cold air breeze against it. He studies my arm. I look down at it and my eyes widen. There's a 3 inch cut on my upper arm. It burns painfully and it's bleeding badly.
He slowly reaches his hand into his pocket and pulls out some medical supplies. I flinch away as he goes to wipe the blood away. He looks at me again.
"Let me tend to it. If it doesn't get attention now it'll get infected and you'll bleed to death," he says. My jaw almost drops at how similar his voice is to the real Obito's.
I shake my shock off and slowly nod, letting him tend to it. He wipes up the blood and wraps my arm in bandages. "That should do for now," he says kindly, a little bit of worry still in his eyes.
I narrow my eyes at his expression, studying him still. He notices me studying him. I immediately blush and he smirks then frowns.
"You look at me as if you know me. Why?" He asks sternly. I blush more as I realize he's still on top of me, one leg at each side of my waist.
"I-I, well-....." I hesitate. Should I tell him I watch Naruto...? What if this is like those fan fictions where the characters come to real life? I don't want him freaking out at me or anything. I bite my lip. "...It's just... You remind me of someone I know...That's all..." I partially lie.
He narrows his eyes at me and studies my expression, obviously not buying it, but he slowly nods. He gets off of me and helps me up.
"So... How'd you get here? Are you lost or something?" I ask kindly.
He looks around. "Yes. I'm not sure where I am. I was in the middle of a war. Where am I?"
"You're... Nowhere near a war... I can explain everything. But first let's get somewhere warmer. My house isn't too far from here, I can take you there if you'd like," I offer kindly. I'm not too afraid of letting a complete stranger in my home. Technically he's not a stranger though, since we're in the same fandom... Right?
He slowly nods in agreement and I lead him to my house. He follows close behind and studies my every movement, trying to figure out if he should trust me or not. I step out of the woods and towards my house, leading him inside.
