"Kiss me and you will see how important I am."

"Slap me."
"Stop it, or I will definitely smack your dull face with this."
Sighing, Soomin dramatically pounded her forehead against one of the bookshelves placed at the very end of the public library when Jiwoo irritatedly shoved one hell of a thick book into her depressed face.
For Jiwoo, searching for one single book she needed for an essay in a place that contained more than a thousand books was already making her head scream in pain. And at the moment, the pain became worse as she had to face a mentally unstable girl who continuously blabbed tons of trash words since they met in front of the place this morning. I should have asked Minyoung to accompany me in the first place.
"Let me find the book first, then you'll have both of my hands to beat that face of yours," she said, sighing loudly as Soomin gave her a pitiful expression while dropping herself onto the floor.
Jiwoo was so focused on the row of books in front of her until she heard Soomin mutter something, which made her drop a book and avert her eyes instantly to the girl who was somehow now lying herself in between the bookshelf, lifeless.
"Who did what?!"
Curling into a ball while still lying on the dusty cold floor of the old public library, Soomin turned her back to Jiwoo while hugging her knees, undoubtedly looking so pitiable from head to toe.
"Yah, answer me!" Jiwoo shout-whispered as she shoved one of her feet into Soomin's vulnerable back, demanding confirmation. This time, Soomin heaved a deep breath and stayed still in her awkward position. Rolling her eyes in annoyance, Jiwoo groaned and put aside the books in her hands before dragging her soulless friend out of the library.
Leading the way to the coffee shop, Jiwoo turned around to face Soomin when she felt her shirt being tugged from behind. Soomin shook her head and grabbed Jiwoo's hand, willing to take her as far as she could from their usual hangout place.
"Today, Jimin told me that the boys won't be there. He said they have something to do and won't be back until the afternoon."
Right, she thought as she remembered Yoongi's words from yesterday.
Defeated, Soomin nodded and followed her to the coffee shop. Although Jiwoo had told her about the boys' plans, she couldn't hide her nervousness when they reached the place. Her poor heart was beating wildly, as if it could jump out of her rib cage, when Jiwoo pushed the door open.
Scanning the place thoroughly from the doorstep before entering, Soomin bit her lower lip and grabbed the door handle tightly. A relieved sigh slipped out when she found nothing but an almost empty coffee shop. Weakly dragging herself to an empty table, she dropped her bag onto the floor and slouched onto the single couch.
"Now tell me what happened yesterday," Jiwoo said, handing a cup of coffee to her.
"Ice americano?" she asked, frowning and not wanting to even touch the cup.
"Yeah, why? Take it," she insisted, handing the cup again.
That's his- "keep that away from me!" she shrieked, leaning back and covering her face with both hands, shocking Jiwoo.
"What the hell is wrong with you?! Take it or I'll give you water from the faucet!"
Pouting, Soomin took the cup from Jiwoo and immediately put it down on the table before heaving another deep sigh. This frustrated Jiwoo even more, wondering what had happened to her. Clearing her throat, Jiwoo stared sharply into Soomin's eyes, once again asking for an answer.
Soomin gave up.
"He- uhm- yesterday he..."
Flashback
"I'm sorry"
"For what?"
"This"
Everything happened so fast when she felt a couple of coarse yet soothing hands cupping the side of her face gently before soft, warm, moist lips made contact with her parted ones.
Having a brain malfunction for a split second, she stood still - motionless - when his warm, minty breath brushed her flushed cheek while his well-shaped, pale lips took hers carefully.
She had an urge to push him away and kick him in the nuts, yet something inside her didn't want him to pull away. In fact, she wanted more than a simple, short peck.
As he tasted her peaches and cream chapsticked lips, she couldn't help but squeeze the bottom part of her hoodie as hard as she could while shutting her eyes tightly, trying to collect her scattered soul and mind back to her senses.
The alien feeling itself was too much for her. She could feel her knees weaken when he slowly pulled away before gently fully engulfing her trembling lips, locking them into his. Feeling a demanding tug on her lower lip, she did nothing but try her best not to collapse onto the ground.
Never had it crossed her mind that the lips which were always calling her names and spitting fire at her would taste this... sweet.
Min Yoongi is kissing me.
As the name came into her mind, she snapped out of her very first heavenly pleasure given by a man and instantly opened her eyes, only to find his godly face so close to hers.
And Soomin was being Soomin.
A sudden panic attack came over her, which then made her do something unexpected.
"Aish!" a hissed groan was heard when she felt his perfect lips leave hers as he detached their tangled lips in a split second after she harshly bit his lower lip.
"Did you just bi-" Yoongi, who tasted a hint of blood on his lips, froze on his feet when he spotted the girl trembling in front of him. Her face was as red as an apple, and he could see a pool of tears at the edge of her beautiful eyes. She looked vulnerable.
"Shit," he cursed himself as he extended his hand to reach her. Yet, she, who was still trying to recover from the unexpected kiss, took a step back and turned on her heels, wanting to run away as far as she could.
"Where are you going?"
Grabbing her wrist tightly, Yoongi pulled her into his warm body and secured her shaking figure with a tight yet calming hug.
Forgetting about the fact that they were hugging after their first kiss at the dimmed, empty, cold bus station, both of them stayed in silence for minutes.
Feeling that the girl was no longer shaking in his arms, Yoongi released her from his embrace and pulled away, taking a step back from her, creating a significant distance between them.
"Have you figured out the answer now?" he finally asked, which gained a questioning look from the silent Soomin.
"Guess you haven't," he chuckled bitterly. "Just take your time. I won't bother you until one day you tell me the answer. I'll leave you alone until then."
Gripping the lower part of her hoodie once again, her breath hitched as the word "leave" slipped from his glistening lips.
"L-leave?" she asked, frowning and confused as she realized that it was the first time she used a questioning tone when saying the word to him.
"Leave, just what you always want me to do," he said with such an unreadable expression.
A mix of feelings dominated her head and heart right now. Part of her was cheering, yet another part of her was crying.
"Don't give me that look," he said, smiling half-heartedly.
"I hate you."
"I hate you too."
Her eyes flinched. It was the first time she heard the word from him. And it hurt.
"Soomin..."
She threw her gaze back to him.
"As I said before, I'm sorry. I'm sorry for not feeling sorry about the kiss."
This time, another new feeling pierced her heart as if he was throwing a knive right thru her heart.
"That's your bus."
Soomin looked at the direction Yoongi pointed out before looking back at him, shaking her head.
"Bye." he smiled, once again giving her unreadable expression.
"Min Yoongi," she whispered with a hint of pleading in her voice as she stared at him.
"Once in your lifetime, please let me be selfish by doing this to you. Now go."
He stood still at his spot, nodding his head at the bus as if he was telling her to go.
She had no choice.
She left him behind, staring out the window until she couldn't see his skinny figure anymore because tears were unknowingly falling down her cheek.
