My name is Rachael. J. Thorne. True to my name, I can be as dangerous as I can be sweet. 

They say that your heritage; your ancestry, and your roots; make up a large part of your identity. 'They', in my far from humble opinion, are right. 

But what they don't tell you, is that your lineage can sometimes prove to be dangerous. It could be the very thing that hurts you, kills you, or worse still, rips you apart from the one that you love. 

History? Really sucks, sometimes.

My name is Jake. Just Jake. My last name isn't important, not to you.

The past has a funny way of making itself known, the deeper you try to bury it. 'Don't bury it, then', I hear you say? Well, what do you know? It's not as simple as that. It never is.

But I guess if the karma, or kismet, or whatever it is, that stems from your past, leads you to something that's wildly beyond your expectations; something that makes you want to wake up in the mornings; then maybe it might not be such a pain in the ass.

History? Ain't half bad, sometimes.

If that's what you're looking for, turn around now, because this is not that story.

This is a story about two polar opposites finding harmony in one another, but it's also a story about war, and the battles that must be fought in the name of love. It's a story about balance. A story about acceptance. About strength, and loyalty, and bravery.
