"What happened back there, Wolf?" Yasmine asks the masked male and he tugs it off his face, along with the hood covering his head but she doesn't blink twice having seen her fair share of his face countless times. His nose is broad and tall, his lips framed by faded stubble that is just as dark as his hair.

"Hey, watch it with the real name." Wolf warns her lowly but she just smiles, then folds her arms across her chest and gives him a stern look so he sighs and gives in. "I got a call, a few days ago... I was gonna take care of it on my own before I came to you, but then stuff happened and here we are. Luckily I didn't ignore it, or Crow wouldn't have been able to see it in time."

"Your sister is part of this too?" Yasmine shrieks and Wolf holds up a hand and asks her to calm down.

"Relax, Okay? Before you yell at me some more, give me a minute to explain at least."

"My daughters are in the other room." She hisses.

"Yeah, and if this wasn't important, I wouldn't have showed myself, okay?" He tells her and she waves for him to go ahead. "I got offered a job, it was to find a 'James Davenport' and kill her. I agreed to do it, just to buy some time while I gathered some info on everything. Which one of them is James?"

"Jamie sugar, can you come in here!?" Yasmine calls and Hitter stands and tugs his mask back up his face, looking at the door just as sure enough, she comes in.

She radiates confidence like no other, her presence is intimidating as hell but all the same unpredictable at times and now he's in the same room with her, seeing that up close and personally not including the time she almost beat him unconscious when he refused to fight back.

"Yes?" Her figure hugging dress accentuates her curves as she stands effortlessly, but her hips happen to be on show. She's clearly attractive and knows what kind of makeup, hair and even clothing works to compliment her style, shape and personality.

She's rich but a boss. Not to be taken for granted.

"It is her?" Hitter says unbelievably but not surprised and Yasmine nods.

"Her who? The girl who you broke into her hotel? Mom he broke into my room." Jamie tells Yasmine pointedly who nods.

"He was there to protect you."

"From what? Mom, those people weren't after me." Jamie says and S.H and her mother look at her.

"I think the incident that happened earlier proves otherwise." Hitter says in a dead voice and Jamie turns her head around and pins a glare on him.

She really doesn't like him.

"I didn't ask for commentary," She sneers. "But since you need some attention, I'll include you. They weren't after me because they were after you." Jamie looks at her mother who frowns, but saying it out loud makes more sense as to how everything played out and Jamie mentally applauds herself for figuring it out so quickly.

"Are you trying to make yourself feel better or something? Attacks like that happen to everyone." S.H says and Jamie rolls her eyes.

"Maybe I'm trying to give your ego glasses to see past it's pedestal." Jamie bites back and Hitter raises an eyebrow at her sharp tone and response as she turns to him, her eyes trailing over his greater height but she doesn't waver in the least.

"Okay wait, both of you. You're giving me a headache. Sugar, what makes you say these people are after me?" Yasmine asks and Jamie turns to her mother.

"Because, crouched down behind the table, only one side was being fired at. Bullets practically grazed you and Rikki, but for me, Nia and Elly, barely. Besides us also being there. The guns were firing at you."

"'A way that will help get the job done faster'...it does make sense Yaz." Hitter says, thinking back to what the email said and sighing. But Jamie still has a hit on her and they can't disregard that just yet.

"Of course it makes sense. Congratulations I just pushed you off your pedestal." Jamie tells S.H dryly yet very smugly and he shakes his head wordlessly, impressed and insulted all at the same time by the Davenport daughter.

In all of his years looking out for her, he never expected her to have such a...witty personality.

"I'll call my people, find out what the hell happened then call you when I find something." Yasmine tells Hitter and he nods.

"I'll have Crow track everything down as well then we can also give you an update about what we had so far." S.H says and Yasmine nods.

"Thank you also, for today."

"Don't worry about it, always my pleasure." He tells her and she smiles.

"Tell your sister I say hi." Yasmine says and he nods, looking at Jamie and their eyes meet once more but she turns away, him shaking his head at himself and making a fast retreat out of the room.

"You have a lot of explaining to do about that guy." Jamie tells her mother unhappily who sighs.

"I guess I do. Have a seat, would you like something to drink?"

"I'm good." Jamie takes a seat and her mother pours herself a glass of straight vodka.

"S.H is my personal hitman. Has been, ever since you were about seventeen and decided to become a hit-woman yourself. I knew that if something were to happen one day, I'd need someone with your skill to help you. He was that person, and he has been at my call for almost a decade now." Yasmine tells Jamie who stares at her blankly, unable to process how her mother is basically telling her she's had some masked man stalker for the longest time just following her around. "He's become like another child to me in a way. Him and his sister."

"You're cheating on us with two strangers?" Jamie asks seriously and Yasmine smiles.

"Don't be silly sugar. Although, I do have enough love to go around." She says with a wink but Jamie is unamused as she stays quiet, not saying anything to that but moving on.

"So what now?" Jamie asks and Yasmine shrugs.

"Now, I make sure that all my children are safe. Most importantly you, my sugar."

Jamie rolls her eyes but a smile creeps its way onto her lips which she directs towards her mother who sighs happily. Jamie can be hard most of the times, but all she needs is a little love and she's as sweet as a sugary treat. "You're the priority here mom, nobody is coming near you. And if they try, they're gonna have to go through me first."

"I love you, Jamie." Yasmine says pointedly.

"I love you too, momma."

.....

Returning back to his sister's house, Wolf takes off his mask and hood, running his hands through his messy hair then spots Crow sitting on her couch, laptop on her lap, dark hair cascading down her tan shoulders like a mane.

"Are they okay?" Crow asks without looking up and Wolf hums in response as he takes his jacket off and tosses it aside onto a nearby chair.

"I saw her face up close again today...actually talked to her even. She is James–well Jamie I guess."

"Is she hot?"

"Crow." He warns and Crow scoffs.

"I have no doubt you've thought it at one point or the other. Is she hot?"

"Yeah...she's hot." S.H admits.

"Nice."

"Can you please pull up that email we read earlier?" Wolf straightens and takes a seat on the couch next to his sister.

Crow nods. "So how is her voice? Is it sultry?"

"It's definitely some sort of smokey, yes."

"Mmmm, I wanna meet her."

Wolf doesn't say anything to Crow but instead thinks back to James.

The woman is definitely a Davenport, S.H thinks to himself, she's clearly got the skill, there's no doubt there and she also the confidence.

"This email, is going to be another case in itself. These people are coming after Yasmine but it's all to get to...her." Still with the hesitation, Wolf can't bring himself to say Jamie so casually yet. "So, you told me you had something for me when we spoke over the phone. What did you get on Emerson Prescott?"

"A woman called Connie Prescott died a few months ago. Her will was released and Emerson Prescott is on it."

"Why do I care about a dead woman?" Wolf asks and Crow sighs.

"Because this dead woman's will had Jamie's name on it."

"What?"

"Emerson had a meeting with some lawyer and I wanted to know what it was about. I looked into it and ended up stumbling across a locked file of a scanned document, and when I got it open, it was a will which Jamie held fifty percent of shares over. These shares contain an estate property, a few cars but most important, half a billion US dollars in personal assets."

"Holy..."

"I know. This lawyer, whose name is Russel Kilpatrick has been looking for Jamie consistently before all these funds have to be exterminated." Crow picks her phone up and shakes her head. "Prescott's share of this will is barely around fifteen percent, while the rest is split between relatives. The question is though, who is this woman and why did she leave Jamie this many zeroes?"

Wolf stays quiet, scratching at the beard along his jaw as he really thinks about the connection and what it could be.

"We can tell Yasmine now, but I didn't want you surprised when or if we briefed her. Now though, we know Prescott is probably after the shares." Crow continues and her brother nods.

"She isn't safe...clearly Prescott has a motive and if he does, then who's to say others don't want a hit on the Davenport daughter? We'll go see Yasmine tomorrow, first thing in the morning. But first, I have a visit to make, what'd you say his name was–yes Russell Kilpatrick."

Getting to his feet, Wolf snatches his jacket, hood and mask and storms out of the office, leaving his sister's place completely with his hands clenching, opening then clenching into fists again as  emotions run wild through his mind.

*****

Crouched on the edge of an abandoned building's roof, Silver Hitter watches through binoculars like a shadow in the time of night as Russell Kilpatrick shuffles around his office, sorting through folders and papers and tapping occasionally on the computer on his desk.

Securing the rope around his waist, he dives down from the building and his hair blows through the wind as he rushes down the side of the building, his mask protecting his face from the breeze of the night.

Hitter has spent the past couple of hours looking for, then staking out the Kilpatrick lawyer, waiting for the right moment to pounce. This is it. His building has been cleared of all employees, everybody gone home to their families or pets.

Now running in a crouched position, glancing around to see any prying eyes but he doesn't find anyone watching, so he quickly slips into the office building, pulling out a silenced dart gun, he lets one fly through the doorman's neck, another in the two ground floor security guards before running past the elevators to the emergency stairs, making sure he isn't caught by any cameras.

Running up the two dozen floor worth of staircases, he arrives halfway up the building and comes out into an office floor, looking around at the deserted halls, before quickly running to the lawyer's office and letting himself in, he closes the door silently behind him and turning the lock.

"So, this doesn't have to be hard. I just have a couple of questions you just so happen to have the answers to."
