Jamie isn't sure if she ever imagined any particular features for Wolf, ever really dreamed up a face maybe based on his voice, the feeling of his face structure against her fingertips of simply based on the slot of his visible eyes. But now that she's seen him, she knows that nothing could have prepared her for the man standing in front of her.
Jamie smiles wordlessly for a moment, suddenly shy at being able to read every inch of his expressions now and somehow he bared himself to her but she feels exposed. He's right, the two of them had found a routine, kiss at night, in the dark, blindfolded at fare times that it all just felt normal. Having a face to the person she's put majority of her trust in lately though.
"You're handsome." She hears herself whisper and his shoulders lower a bit, almost as though in relief that she isn't...disappointed? As though Jamie would let their connection ride on whether or not he was as attractive as he is but she isn't mad at how the odds weighed out. She reaches out to cup his cheek, his stubbled jaw that she had held so many times before and strokes it slowly. "Why do you hide this beauty?" Her boldness comes back like it never left.
"Because too many people could get hurt from knowing it exists." Jamie frowns but doesn't question him further. He smiles at her silence and her heart swells, causing her to draw her hand back so she can grasp her heart, which seems like it's going to leap out of her chest at any given second.
"Come here." Strong arms pull James Davenport to a firm chest and she smiles even wider, wondering how she was prepared to face any sort of looks but... Jamie pulls back to run her eyes over him, over every inch of his face.
"Can I kiss you? I feel like my heart is going to jump out of my chest if I don't get to kiss you so please can I just kiss you..." Wolf nods and brings her face to his, brushing his lips against hers and Jamie pulls back with every brush, ever stroke, every second that passes by glancing into his eyes, then down at his lips, mesmerised by the sensation of how it feels to be able to look at him.
"I'm sorry." She still can't help but say.
"Don't apologise. I wanted you to see." Picking her up, Wolf places her on the bathroom counter and leans in to kiss her again but Jamie grabs his cheeks and smiles.
"Wow."
He laughs, her heart racing even faster from where she had been trying to calm it down at his toothy grin.
"So beautiful." She whispers, pecking his lips once and pulling away before he can deepen the kiss to look at him again, the smile on her lips never fading.
.....
Laying in bed that early morning, Jamie and Wolf decided to catch some extra sleep but now here they lay, her eyes taking in his every feature as she drags her finger up and down his cheeks.
Mesmerised...
"I thought we were sleeping." Wolf drags her body closer to his and presses his lips to her jaw.
"I can't sleep when I know you're next to me, looking like that." She confesses and he smirks.
"Now you know how I feel."
Instead of responding to that, Jamie gets up onto her knees and straddles his torso, continuing to stare down at him without a word leaving her lips.
"Jamie." He chuckles and cover his face, feeling slightly sheepish wanting to know what she thinks no matter how many times she voices that he's extremely handsome to her.
"I can't help it!" She defends while simultaneously dragging his hand from covering the face that belongs more to her than it does him and he laughs again, causing her to stop and watch as his lips pull back into a smile, parted to let the joy escape him.
"You haven't looked into my eyes for the past half hour." Jamie drags her eyes up from his lips and meets his eyes with her own sheepish smile.
"Sorry. Let me get used to it." Laying down on his chest, Jamie continues to use a finger to drag over his cheek and down to his chin. His breath is warm against her forehead, the occasional heat driving her heart as well as her mind into a frenzy.
She thought Wolf made her feel things before but now.
.....
Waking up in the afternoon to an empty bed, Jamie sits up slowly and that's when an envelope falls off her chest and onto her lap. She smiles at the familiar neat handwriting that addresses itself to her.
Wear your best outfit and let the guard outside your door bring you to the clearing in the middle of the forest. I have no doubt you'll look extremely beautiful.
-Wolf
P.S, wear sneakers again.
Jamie laughs to herself then climbs out of bed to go shower, coming out in just her towel to look for an outfit to wear. If she has to wear sneakers, she's doing to them up.

I decide on a cream white floor length wrap dress with golden baroque prints which I heavily accessorize then decide on light makeup since it gets really hot on the island.
My hair was left to dry over night so now I simply use a cool dryer to define my curls, fluffing up my hair regardless of whether the fact it'll make it passed the windy hike.
When I get outside after pushing sunglasses on my face and grabbing my purse, I follow a few guards off the path and down the same way we took to go to the next island over.
I'm excited but nervous because Wolf has never done anything like this before and whatever is waiting for me, I can tell before I've even arrived that it's extremely sweet and was thought out.
After a while of walking, the guards post themselves and tell me to continue straight and once I make it to the familiar spotted trunk trees, I cover my mouth in shock at the picnic Wolf has laid out.
"Jamie." He smiles up at me, his mask nowhere to be seen and I lower my hand and smile back.
"Hi." I walk forward and lower myself on the cushions set up with blankets, all with a table in the middle of it. I take my bag off from around me and set it aside.
"It's our first date." He reaches behind him and retrieves a bouquet of flowers which he hands to me. "Ele helped me plan it before they left."
"Well thank you." I whisper, chewing on my bottom lip before leaning over to kiss him. He holds my chin between his thumb and forefinger and I smile against his lips before pulling away to really take in his face in clear daylight. "I can't believe this is real."
He just pecks my cheek then begins preparing our food. I'm starving and immediately grab one of the multiple finger sandwiches he had prepared for us, having a bite while reaching for my phone. Once I've swallowed, I press my lips to Wolf's cheek and snap a picture, staring down at it for a minute before deleting it.
He watches me amusedly then picks up his own phone and kisses my cheek and I smile wide and place my hand on his face to hold him there. "The one and only picture we'll have of us. I'll keep it safe." I observe the picture and nod, kissing his lips softly, unable to get enough of the easy access before we continue eating. We have a glazed cheesecake for dessert and taking a fork full, Wolf holds it up to my mouth and I gladly take it in.
"So sweet. Have some." I take the fork and guide the cheesecake to his mouth, smiling at the spot of creamy goodness on his chin and swiping it away.
"Too sweet." He cringes but I roll my eyes playfully and disagree, continuing to eat since he clearly doesn't appreciate the dessert.

Love. Love. Love.
In love.
Jamie chants in her head over the sound of the loud spinning propellers. Glancing next to her, Jamie tucks her head into Wolf's arm, shielding her face from the sky's breeze using his jacket.
Wolf has a meeting back in America with his protection officers about his safety and it's supposed to determine whether or not the couple will be allowed to return to their normal routines in the first place or extend their 'vacation' period in either Argentina or somewhere else.
Jamie presses a kiss to Wolf's earlobe and smiles, loving the way his eyes crinkle slightly, showing her peaks of his smile. He still wears his mask in front of his security and obviously out in the public, but she's seen his face so many times that she has every dot and line memorised.

"I don't want you to leave me." I frown, feeling like he's taking a huge chunk out of my chest and leaving with it. We're sitting in the back of my car, the one I asked my mom to send to him to 'pick me up from hiatus' - even though we were together and I refuse to let him go. Is this what it feels like to not wanna be away from somebody?
"It's okay la preciosidad, I'll come see you tonight." Wolf lowers his mask and places his forehead to mine, kissing my lips softly. "Be good."
"Please don't go."
"You'll be fine. I'll come kiss you all you want later. I'll also spend the night with you." The voice he's using sends my heart into overdrive, like an adrenaline that I can't quite get ahold of its reigns before he kisses me again slowly this time, taking his time with the movement as well as pouring his feelings to show me how much it's taking him to leave me as well.
I'm glad that I'm not the only weak one. But why is it so hard? I need some time away from him if I'm gonna act like this every time we say goodbye. You know, I thought it was bad when I admitted to hating watching him go but now I'm physically clinging onto him?
Screw my life.
Surrendering with a light moan in my throat when he pulls away, my lips tilt down when he kisses my cheek then I watch Wolf climb out of the car first and open the door for me. We share a knowing look as I follow suit and exit the Rolls Royce, my hand brushing against his where it holds the door.
"Jamie!" I drop my hand like his burned mine and meet my mom halfway, letting her sweep me into a hug.
"Mom." I breathe her in, resting my chin against her shoulder and closing my eyes. "I missed you."
"I missed you too. Where were you, Sugar? I was so worried about you." She pulls away and cups my cheeks in both her hands as she gazes into my eyes with worry, before her expression changes to one of thoughtfulness. "You look good."
I laugh, tucking my curly hair behind my hair to go with the ruffles of my white summer dress. "I'm serious...you seem happy." My cheeks heat up and before I can conceal my feelings she gasps and makes me meet her gaze again. "Why are you blushing?"
"I'm not momma." I deny, grabbing my bags from Wolf and a knowing glint hits his eyes, making me laugh as I rush to go into the house.
"James Yolanda Davenport!" My eyes widen as I look over my shoulder at her at the sound of my full name. "You tell me where you were right this instant!"
"Mom stop. Thanks for the ride Silver Hitter." I share a lingering glance with him then disappear through the tall wooden double doors of my mother's house, immediately being met with the screams and arms of my sisters when they hug me tightly.
As mush as I didn't want to leave the island, I missed home quite a bit.
"You look summery!" Elly, my baby sister gushes and I smile, fiddling with my earring.
"You smell like...a man." Nial frowns and I tense for a second, before giving her a cool smile and lying,
"The car. Driver's cologne is too strong." With a fake roll of my eyes, I grab their hands and drag them to the kitchen, opening the fridge and grabbing a bottle of chilled rosé.
"I've missed you." I kiss the bottle and the girls laugh. "Girls. Mom's birthday!"
All four of us scream, before Rickson bursts out with laughter at the distressed entrance of our mother. "What is with all the shouting?!" Mom screeches in annoyance and we laugh.
