~•Hitter•~
The underground parking area is dark and nearly deserted, silence plunged in the vehicle between myself and my boss' daughter. I don't bother to look away from my focus straight ahead as I wait, wait for her to make the first move since I know she needs to.
Jamie sighs and I finally look up at her. "I don't wanna go back." She tells me quietly as she leans her head against the window, a tear sliding down her cheek and I continue to stare at her through the rearview mirror. I hate seeing her cry, I hated it the very first time I had to hold her in that stairwell but now my feelings for her are different and it just makes it that much worse...still though, knowing that she's comfortable to do it in front of me is the part I love. "I don't care about this stupid will inheritance and I don't care about that family." She sniffs and wipes her cheek, then she glances at me through her eyelashes and I decide to distract her, since I know it's too fresh to talk about anything with the hopes of sorting it at the moment.
"Wanna come to Argentina with me?"
"Wha..?" She raises her head and begins dragging her fingers over the mascara that ran under her eyes while squinting at me. I smile underneath the cover of my mask. "You're crazy."
"Yet I'm not kidding. Just to get away for a while."
"You'd take me with? You know it would probably give me the chance to look into your past." She unbuckles her seatbelt and I turn to look at her properly.
"Come with me. Just the two of us, it'll be fun."
"When would we leave?"
"When I receive a call." I tell her and her eyes glint thoughtfully, a layer of curiosity covering her gaze and I know that I need her to agree. "Say yes Jamie." I probe, the feeling of want that I feel in my chest extremely unfamiliar but the expectancy of the result she may give.
"It's been ten minutes, we should be heading back to the court now now." She answers and regardless of myself, I smirk, then turn away from her and start the car. "Drive slow, I have to touch up my makeup."
She tells me while reaching into her purse and patting some stuff onto her face before wiping underneath her eyes while I drive as smoothly as possible to avoid the glares she gives me every time we hit a bump or lump
.....
The court was called a day once the DNA samples taken, so Jamie went home and then changed into her thick striped bikini, going into her bathroom to wipe off her makeup, while deep in thought about what Hitter had suggested to her.
'Come with me...' She doesn't know what to make of that. Pulling up her top and fixing it around her chest, Jamie stares at her reflection as she considers how much it would benefit her to get away for a while. But then she wonders if being with Hitter is what she needs more than the thought of the escape.
Since when did she want to willingly need the presence of somebody other than herself or even her mother? Jamie knows that hers and her sisters relationships with their mother is unhealthy but that's because they've never desired a relationship outside of their family of women.
Jamie doesn't like how much she's grown to depend on the male, but she can't help the pull she has towards him either. Is this normal, to fall for someone so quickly? If she can even call it that.
It isn't like Jamie hasn't been attracted to men in the past just not like Hitter. What she feels towards him isn't only physical but emotional as well and that she's never done.
Leaving her bathroom, Jamie takes off her jewelry then walks barefoot down the stairs and out to her pool. She climbs her diving board and swiftly launches herself into the pool, spreading her arms and swimming underneath the surface before tilting her head back and shaking the water from her eyes as she comes up for air.
She swims around, kicking her feet as she's on her back, her eyes staring at the sky with her lips slightly parted.
When the time comes, I'm leaving with him. She declares silently.

Jamie makes her way into the courtroom the next day, sliding into her booth and having a seat next to her lawyer. She runs a hand through her grown hair and turns to look next to her, seeing the disheveled Emerson Prescott staring right at her.
"All rise!" A voice bellows and everyone stands.
"Please be seated." Jamie takes the button of her black pantsuit blazer loose and then sits again, looking at her lawyer who gives her a small smile.
"The first order of business is obviously, the DNA results. Who holds them?" The judge questions and an officer steps forward so he waves the man over and nods. "Come forward. Thank you."
Jamie sits there, already knowing the answer of what everyone is anticipating to hear.
"James Davenport, tested beside Emerson Prescott." The judge speaks and the court is silence, nobody breathing as the sealed envelope is torn into. "The results read as followed..."
Emerson Prescott stares at the judge, his bloodshot eyes just wanting to know the truth of if he holds a daughter in the woman seated across from him.
"50% match. Miss. Davenport is the daughter of Emerson Prescott and Connie Prescott. All charges will be dropped against the defendant and I grant the recipient of the entire earning from her late mother. Case closed." The judge lifts his gavel and slams it down, leaving everyone in shock, but most importantly Emerson.
He had no idea that he had had a child before his eldest son. Connie never told him and in his line of work, people do work hard and make up cruel situations as far as making him think that he could have a daughter he didn't know about so it was hard to accept her but now...
It makes sense too, the timing makes sense.
"Jamie." He hears from beside him now and he sees Jamie stand and turn to the woman she calls her mother and another man.
"Mom. Daddy." She murmurs and Emerson's heart shatters at the sound of that, especially when she hugs both parents equally tight.
Emerson's feet decide before he does as he makes his way over, just as the words leave his mouth before he can stop them. "I didn't know about you. I didn't know my wife was ever pregnant and I'm truly sorry."
Jamie turns to Emerson and stares at him.
"I'm sorry for your loss, Mr. Prescott. I've had my lawyers send you a signed contract and agreement that...I'll give you whatever I inherited, as long as you or your family never come near me. Ever again." Jamie turns and leaves the courtroom, stopping outside to wait for her family to join.
"You did good, Jay." Rickson comes over and pulls her younger sister into a tight hug. "I love you."
"I love you." Jamie echoes, hugging her back equally just as tightly and she laughs when their other sisters join the hug. "I love you all."
"We love you too."
Yasmine and Marco step out and watch Jamie smiling with her sisters and Yasmine turns to her ex husband and smiles. "Thank you."
"Like I said, she's my daughter too."
Yasmine shrugs. "That's still questionable." She comments and he chuckles, pressing a kiss to her cheek firmly and she rolls her eyes at him.
"Once upon a time you were in love with me." Yasmine turns her nose up and wipes her cheek.
"Then I realised that men are mistakes to me and all I need are my daughters. And the exception of my son and grandbabies being the only males in my life."
"You have a son?" Marco questions and Yasmine smirks, then makes her way down the flight of stairs to her daughters, they yank her into the hug and she lets out a rich laugh and kisses each of their cheeks or foreheads.
"Thank you momma." Jamie says and Yasmine nods, caressing a hand over her head smilingly.

Dressed in a long sweater dress in a flaxen yellow almost, gold heels and gold jewelry adorning her wrists and neck. She's holding matte silver luggage bags, her Luis Vuitton purse strung around her body as she takes a moment to look around with she hates to admit, a hopeful gaze.
"Jamie." She turns and sees Crow making her way over to her, an unreadable expression on her face. "Let me help you with your bags. Follow me this way." Jamie nods and hands her bigger suitcase to the female, dragging her carry on and makeup ones herself.
"I didn't believe him when he said he was waiting for you."
"I wasn't going to come either. Last minute decision." Jamie tells the sister of the person she came here to escape with. "I'm sorry that you don't like this."
"I don't dislike the two of you together, you make him happy. The timing is what's a little weird but hey, he's an adult who can do whatever the hell he wants. I'm happy that if he fell in love with somebody, it's someone like you." Jamie's head snaps towards Crow when she says this and then she laughs.
"What we're doing isn't love." She states confidently.
"Are you sure?" Admittedly, not anymore.
Before Jamie can muster an answer, her bags are being taken for her and she's being taken into familiar arms, her entire body immediately surrendering for him without her knowing.
"You came." Hitter speaks into her ear and she feels the heat of his words radiating to her through his mask. All she can do is nod, bringing her hand up to cup his face, her fingers caressing the material along his jaw.
"I'm going to go." Hitter looks up at his sister and nods, pulling away from Jamie to give her a hug. "Be safe and take care of one another."
"I love you."
"I love you too."
His back still turned to Jamie, he pulls his mask down and kisses her forehead, before pulling away and tugging it back up.
"Have fun, lovebirds."
He returns to Jamie and she smiles and takes his offered hand, letting him lead her onto a private jet. They climb the stairs and once they're alone inside, he makes her look at him.
"Thank you for actually coming." He murmurs, interlocking their fingers and she nods, staring into his eyes deeply and biting on her lip, his eyes drop and she releases her lip now, giving him an innocent shrug and smiling again. Jamie is still confused about the actual reason she came.
Seeing the way Hitter is looking at her though, lets her know that...maybe she wants him as much as he wants her. "The things you do to me James Davenport." His fingers caress her cheeks as he says this and Jamie knows that what they have, is closer to the four letter word than comfort for her. Yet, she doesn't know if she should run or leap closer.
"Mr. Wolf. Sir. We're ready to leave when you are." The co-pilot announces and he nods, pulling his face up from Jamie's to glance over his shoulder.
"Thank you. We'll take our seats." That's exactly what the pair do, take seats next to each other and buckle in. Hitter rests his arm on the armrest between their seats and Jamie places her hand in his, and he watches as she interlaces their fingers. Jamie looks up at him and smiles.
