"Target, located." Jamie murmurs in a low voice as she angles her eye through the rifle scope. She tilts her head back and picks up her telescope to check around everywhere.

"You got it, sugar?" Her sister Elijah speaks in her ear and Jamie smiles, switching her lollipop between her cheeks before answering.

"Yep. Cubby, you better be ready to move him outta there quick." She chews never takes her eyes off the target, watching him through the magnifier of her gun, through a window of a restaurant as he talks to her sister who is stalling so they can get the info they need to take him out.

Jamie watches Elijah take the male's hand and she leads him outside and to the back of the restaurant. He places his hands on her hips, a sick smile on his face and Jamie looks at her nails...her mother has been on her case lately about taking a break since she's so busy lately, but she hasn't done such a thing.

The thing is about Jamie, she doesn't actually know what the words 'relax and do nothing mean'. So when they're said to her, she spirals and goes out to do everything.

Jamie isn't a good listener, which is why she's continuing to help around with jobs, getting and doing her own, but staying away from 'chilling out'.

It's not in her blood. What even is that?

Right now, she's trying to find the location of cases of money that were hidden from her mom a few months ago.

"...oh my gosh...keeping them in the hoods of the cars? So smart." Jamie zones back into what her sister is doing and places her finger back on the trigger as she looks into the scope and spots Elijah, whose hands are trailing over their target's chest roughly as she rips at his buttons.

Instead of doing anything crazy though-if you know what I mean-Elijah tilts to the side to give her older sister a clear shot.

Jamie's finger applies pressure on the trigger and once and-boom-lets a bullet go once, straight through the guy's head and Elijah steps back, watching the body crumple to the ground. Elijah holds up an okay sign with her fingers, before strutting back out to where people are, straightening her appearance and she screams an ear shattering scream, placing sunglasses on over her eyes and a hat on her head.

Then she runs.

"Help! Oh my gosh! Somebody help! I just saw a guy get shot!" Elijah screams again at the top of her lungs and that causes panic, some people running to help- see what's going on, while others run away.

Elijah smirks and salutes the sister she knows is watching her, before disappearing into the rushed crowd.

Climbing into her Lamborghini, she pulls the door closed behind her before backing out and stepping on the gas.

Jamie packs up her things in a grey suitcase, then stands, making her way out of the hotel suite, heading into the elevator before going to check out. She returns the key, then jogs outside just as a -you wouldn't have guessed- Lamborghini pulls up.

Opening the trunk, she places her bag in, closes it then climbs in next to her sister, nodding at her to drive.

"You found the location?" Jamie asks her sister who nods proudly, both hands on her steering wheel as she turns and cuts her way through other cars. "Good girl, Elly."

"Thank you." Elijah smiles satisfied, happy with the compliment from her sister who she strives to be more like everyday.

*****

"Guess what mom!?!" Elly runs into the house, carrying two briefcases which she waves around with a twirl and their mother Yasmine laughs, looking up and tucking her sleek silver hair behind her ear and looking at the girls.

Yasmine Davenport is a very classy woman, always dressed to impress in fine scarves-suits and dresses with a smile that is both inviting yet oddly but not surprisingly scary.

"I've gotta go." Jamie comes in, less peppy than her sister and places down the two briefcases she was holding.

"Thank you, girls." Yasmine Davenport tells her daughters, pulling them into a hug and they both kiss either side of her cheeks.

"Love you." They chirp in unison.

"I love you too." Pulling away, she wipes lipstick off their cheeks then excuses them to go. "Please don't forget brunch on Sunday!" Yasmine yells after them before they're out of earshot.

"We won't!"

Jamie leans over the balcony of her house and smiles at the view of her infinity swimming pool, and she can't resist going into her bathroom, changing into a white bikini with cheeky bottoms that brings out her curves, before heading down.

Once outside, she dives in no pause, and sinks into the cold water, resurfacing and pushing her short hair back from her face.

Jamie's version of 'working out' or 'staying fit', would be doing laps almost every evening or morning when she can.

Thinking about her day, she lets her mind flicker highlights like the beginning of a show where you get a recap of everything.

Swimming to the wall of the pool, she pulls herself up and fixes the strap of her swimsuit top then leans back against her hands as she closes her eyes against the moonlight.

Her chest perks out, rising and falling with her content breathing as she lets her foot play in the water.

.....

"Phone." His sister calls and he looks up from his place on her couch, putting his drink aside.

"Silver Hitter." He speaks, voice gruff and toneless over the line as his eyes narrow into a smolder from habit.

"I'd like to get you for hire." The voice over the phone says and Hitter places it on speaker and waves for his sister's attention. Once she's looked over, he mouths, 'Job' and she nods.

"Name."

"Emerson Prescott."

"What do you want?"

"I'm looking for someone."

"Hire a P.I."

"If only it were that simple Mr. Hitter."

Silver Hitter smirks. "I take it there's more to it?"

"Yes. I need to find someone and eliminate them. Contacts tell me that you're the only one who might be able to help me."

"Give me a name Prescott."

"James. James Davenport."

Hitter meets Crow's gaze and she shakes her head, ready to object but he holds up a finger to silence her before she can even begin. "James Davenport you say? What about her?"

"Find her and get rid of her for me."

Hitter arranges a price with the mystery male, he's heard nothing about, then hangs up and places his phone aside. "Crow, tell who the hell Emerson Prescott is and why he just hired an assassin to kill a Davenport?"

"I don't know...you think it's a trap from the government? Or just a naive as hell dumbass who knows nothing about the Davenport surname?"

"I don't know but, do some digging ASAP. If word gets around and Yasmine somehow finds out..." Hitter clicks his tongue with a shake of his head. "Let's just say we don't wanna start World War III."

"On it." Crow stands and goes to her desk, set up with half a dozen computer screens and a few keyboards which she takes to searching up the name Emerson Prescott and doing a deep background check.

Silver Hitter (Wolf) was hired years ago by Yasmine Davenport in order to protect her daughter when needed, while making sure she finds nothing out about it.

He's always been close to the woman, so hearing the surname he's sworn to protecting getting threatened, he knows he's got work cut out for him to do.

"What if it's her?" Crow asks him and Wolf shrugs, not saying anything as he watches her screens over her shoulder.

"Yasmine never told me her name..." He tells his sister who nods. "But if it's her, I'm going to do what I do best and protect her."

Crow smiles. "You sound adorable when you talk about her."

"I hardly ever talk about her."

"Exactly! Which is why it's adorable when you do. You get all hard faced and venom voiced that anyone dare threatens her."

"Cool it bird, I'm just doing my job. I know nothing about her but her blonde hair." Which is true, in all these years -almost a decade to be exact- of protecting one of Yasmine Davenport's daughters, he hasn't so much as seen her face than the back of her head. Doesn't even know her name, because there's no use if all he's there to do is stop death from crossing her when it calls.

"Carry on here Crow, I need to head out okay?"

"Okay. I'll send you what I find about this guy when I find it."

"Yeah, Okay." Kissing her cheek, Hitter leaves his sister's office and walks in long strides through her house. Minimalist paintings lining the white walls he passes and he goes down grey stone stairs on his way out, passing the rest of her simple, perfectly measured and placed black, grey and white furniture, all in the walls of her two story house.

James Davenport...could it actually be her?

*****

Jamie sits with her oldest sister Rickson as they help her twin nieces do their homework.

"What's up with you?" Rickson asks, her perfect blonde hair curled in waves, which she has then been pulled back by a silk scarf, her elegant blouse matching her personality perfectly. Kind of like their mother.

"What do you mean?"

"Auntie J, what's 4x4?"

"16."

"Jamie. You're not supposed to tell them. You're supposed to help them work through it. Kiki, can you tell mommy and auntie J why it's equal to sixteen? Write it here for me." Rickson taps a notebook and her daughter sighs then begins working it out.

"Sorry." Jamie smiles at her sister who laughs and shakes her head.

"Anyways, I mean what's your deal with your being here today, on a school day. Do you need something from me?"

"Can I not just come and visit my sister when I want?"

Rickson laughs. "Mommy!"

"Yes Keeks." Rickson looks down at her other daughter who points at the sum she was working on and then gives a small round of applause.

"Good girl. Next one. Of course you are but...you aren't that sort of sister."

Now it's Jamie's turn to laugh. "I just missed you. You've been super busy."

"If you say so, then we'd be happy to have you for dinner."

"Sorry, I have plans." Both sisters laugh now, both of them becoming in their own world for a moment as they work to catch their breaths. "I will see you at brunch though."

"Okay, I love you."

"Love you too."

*****

"Mom, I'm at the airport okay? I'll probably be dark for a while so I'll call when I can." Jamie tells her mom over the phone as she walks across the platform at the airport, her private jet in sight.

"Okay. Try text me though, just so I know you're okay. What's the job again?"

"I'm going to find some info on something I want. So you can relax, this is just a small project for me." Jamie smiles to herself as she makes her way into the jet, looking around at the impressive interior, an office set up, with a few normal face forward seats and she lets her purse slide off her shoulder and throws it on one of the seats.

"Have fun sugar. I love you."

"I love you too momma, tell the girls I say I love them and goodbye for a while."

"I will. Be safe."

"Bye."

"Bye." Hanging up, Jamie makes her way to the cockpit and knocks, before letting herself in.

"Miss. Davenport." The two female pilots stand and salute the female and she nods.

"Just checking if everything is good. Is it?" Jamie asks and they both nod hastily, their hair pulled low in tight buns with their hats placed firmly on top.

"All good and ready when you are."

"Great. I'll be in my seat." Without another word, Jamie leaves the pit, closing the door behind her and going to claim a seat, which she sinks into before tugging her seat belt over her.

"Miss. Davenport, we ask you to acknowledge the seat belt light as we are about to take off. Please make yourself comfortable and trust us to deliver you to your destination safely...Thank you." The pilot's crackling voice still booms over a speaker and Jamie pulls noise canceling headphones on over her ears, planning to sleep once they've arrived smoothly into the air.
