This sketch is a product of a thought I had, to paint the SB1 cover in the style of a 15th century Dutch painting... The idea would be to have Rip seated like a stately lord having his portrait painted (maybe with a secret flask of brandy in his hand), and Pertuli standing behind him somewhere with an ironic expression... Instead, Rip is a little stiff and Tuli a little evil, but eh, I figured I'd post it anyway. Will continue to work on the idea. 

I also don't know why Tuli has a sword and Rip doesn't... I guess the portrait wasn't including weapons, and Tuli is just portrait-bombing. I don't know. lol

Some of this sketch was touched up in Photoshop because A) I kept noticing mistakes I didn't want to share, and B) because drawing anyone in a ruff makes them look like a clown. (Rip is wearing a ruff in the original, so this would have dated the painting to the LEY 3100's, rather than the LEY 3200's as it now appears) I replaced the ruff with his chain of office. 

You'll notice that originally I'd named this the "Ill'Enniniess Lords," but technically Tuli is not a peer, so I just changed it to the "Blades." Admittedly there are more Silver Blades members in House Ill'Enniniess, but I am only drawing our two favorites, so there. :P
