'Silver's POV'

Julia cried herself to sleep, and I couldn't do anything but watch. At some point, I fell asleep too.

I jolt awake when someone shakes my shoulder. I see Julia sitting on her knees, looking at me worriedly

"Julia, what's wrong?" I ask, touching the small girls shoulder

"Y-you're bleeding, Silver..." She touches my collarbone, then shows me her fingers. They're covered in blood, my blood.

I touch the wound with my own hand. It isn't a small cut, more like a gash. I try to remember when I might've gotten it, but nothing comes to mind.

"It's okay, just a little cut." Her face floods with relief at my words. The bleeding should stop soon

I see Vanessa at the door of our cell and stand up, slowly walking over to her

"Where are you taking us?" I ask through the bars of the cell

"We're going to our biggest institution. It is in the biggest part of Ninjago. That's where our indestructible weapon is, he's awaiting your arrival." Her statement makes me wonder

"Why is is waiting for me?" I ask, she smirks

"Oh, don't worry Silver, you'll find out in time." That only makes me more worried

"Why are you doing this to me?" I ask

"Because, you will help us creat our new world, even if I have to force you to." She walks away triumphantly, as if she'd won something.

Her words scare me. They have the technology to force me to participate, to manipulate my brain... Just like they did to Dez... Tears burn at my eyes just thinking about him... One of my best friends... The one I shot...

I begin to pace back and forth in the cell... Why me? Why did it have to be me?

Why couldn't I have been shot along with all of the other experiments that day when I had to fight Lucifer....

So many people have been killed because of me... But why? My life is worth nothing... So why have so many been killed because of me?

I pace for what feels like multiple hours.

I feel a small tug at the bottom of my shirt

"S-Silver, why did the scary woman visit us?" She asks, looking up at me

"Because..." I decide to tell her the truth "Because they're taking us to another institute." Her eyes grow wide with fear

"I don't want to go! Silver, why are they doing this?!" She begins crying again. I crouch down and put my hands on her shoulders

"Julia, I know you don't want to go, I don't either. But I'm going to protect you as well as I can." She meets my eyes

"Th-thank you, S-Silver..." She hugs me tightly

"Enough with this, you can't protect her!" I hear Vanessa's voice by the cell door "you can't even protect yourself!"

"Why are you here again?!" I take Julia in my arms, stand up and turn to the door

"Because, we've arrived." She unlocks the door and two white coats usher us out of the hovercraft.

We end up in a building like the one I spent most of my life in, only it's much bigger

"Please follow me, Silver." Vanessa begins to walk down a long white hallway. She says it like I have a choice...

A large gun is pressed against my back and I begin walking quickly, to keep up with Vanessa's brisk pace.

We walk through a big set of doors and into a big white room with a glass ceiling and a window covering one wall. The window leads to another pure white room.

In the middle of the room is a werwolf mutant. He is tall and very muscular, his hair is dark brown and falling into his light brown eyes. His ears and tail match the colour of his hair.

"Silver, this is Khaos, our indestructible weapon."

(Khaos is said like Chaos.)

Khaos? They literally named him Khaos...

I slowly walk over to him, holding Julia's small body close to myself. His eyes focus on me, they watch my every move

"What's so special about you? You look just like every other werwolf mutant." His eyes narrow at me

"I, unlike all the others, am the most successful experiment here. Many hours have been spent on making me perfect. What bout you, Avian?" He asks

"I'm the most successful female experiment they've constructed." At least, that's what Vanessa told me.

He's taken aback and I feel a smirk begin to play at the edges of my mouth

"What about the little one?" He eyes Julia suspiciously. Julia had stopped crying when I started talking to Khaos

"I'm just like Silver!" She exclaims happily. Why does she trust him?

"I doubt that, it looks like they're still working on you." He scoffs

"Don't worry about the little one, Khaos, right now, we need to test Silver's skills. I need you to know that she did defeat her next generation." Two white coats rip Julia from my arms

"No! Don't touch her!" I scream, beginning to run after them. One of them nods to Khaos, to which he grabs my arm, easily holding me back

"Remember you two, this is only a test of skills, do not try to permanently damage the other." Vanessa knocks on the window to get my attention "that means you, Silver." She knows me too well...

Khaos begins circling me like I'm his prey, I watch him, waiting for him to jump at me. Sure enough, he runs towards me, and I easily dodge.

What I lack in strength, I make up for in agility, Khaos is the exact opposite.

"You're pretty quick." He smirks at me, slowly coming closer

"Thanks." I take steps back as he takes them toward me. I'm soon backed into a corner

"You know, you aren't as smart at they said you'd be." I smile slyly and fly up slightly. I grab his chin and push him onto the ground, landing on the other side of him

"Are you sure about that?" I ask as he slowly stands off of the ground

"Maybe I was to quick to judge you." Before I can react, he's got me pinned to the ground

He really is strong, I can barely move under him

"That's enough. Both of you did a great job." Vanessa's voice says over the speakers

Khaos gets off of me and holds a hand out. I take his hand and stand up as well

"Good job, Silver."

"Same to you."

He is a great fighter... Somewhere, deep in my heart, I find myself wanting to be his friend... He doesn't seem like a bad person, he doesn't have any other choice but to be here, just like me...

"Silver!" Julia jumps back into my arms. I must've been so deep in thought that I didn't notice her enter the room.

Another thing I don't understand is why they're leaving the three of us in here alone. Maybe they want us to get acquainted? But why?

"So tell me, what's the relationship between you two? Is she your daughter or something?" Khaos asks

"No, well... Kind of. She was thrown into my cage back at our institute, and I've been protecting her ever since." She looks at me with a smile, I return the gesture

"Why? She's just a stupid child. Was there ever someone there for you? No, there wasn't, so why try and protect her." The way he says it it's more like a statement than a question. I try to contain my anger

"Actually, yes, there was somebody there for me. And why do you care why I decided to protect her?" It seems like he wasn't expecting the question

"Who said I cared? I was only curious." He crosses his arms

"So, why am I here?" I ask him, he avoids my eyes

"I don't know." Something about the way he's acting tells me that he does know, he just isn't allowed to tell me

"Khaos, tell me why I'm here; it's obvious that you know." I narrow my eyes at him, trying to read his expression. But, he, much like myself, has assumed a monotone facial expression, he's probably been a mutant since he was young.

"Silver, look, I'd tell you if I could, but you have to understand that I've been given specific instruction not to." I nod my head, and begin to chew on the inside of my bottom lip. She has something planned for me, something big

"Than what can you tell me?"

"Nothing that you don't already know..." He sighs "at least, not here." His voice is just above a whisper. I look up to him, what's that supposed to mean?

He looks toward a corner of the room, I follow his gaze and see a camera. I see, we're constantly being watched.

Vanessa and a few white coats walk back into the room

"Well, I guess I'll see you later." I turn to her

"You did well Khaos, congratulations." Khaos doesn't speak, he only nods his head. Vanessa turns to me

"Well, while you're here, I guess I should tell you why you're meeting him." I cut her off

"Oh, I know why; it's because he's my partner in your stupid plan." She smirks and shakes her head

"Well, yes, but you're also going to have a child with him." My eyes widen "after the child is born, we will use our specialized serums to make him older."

"What? You never told me about this!" Khaos yells

"Why?! Why is that necessary?!" I shout

"Silver and Khaos, our two most successful experiments, can you imagine how powerful your child will be?" She asks

"You can keep imagining, because I am not bringing a child into this world for the purpose of power, especially when it's going to be mutated and used to destroy the world!" Khaos's voice gets even louder...

He's more like me than I thought...

"Oh Khaos, you don't have a choice." Vanessa continues to smirk

"We do have a choice! You cannot force us to have a child!" I scream, I feel Julia begin to cry in my arms

"If you two do not follow orders, we will have to take desperate measures." I sigh, then smirk directly at her

"You see, Vanessa, I was never good at following orders." Her face twists into a look of intense anger

"Take them to their cell!" She bellows

Once we're back in our cell, I set Julia on the bed and sit with my back against the wall, my head in my knees.

Where are the guys..?
