New thing about this book. Every other chapter is an episode I 'made up' meaning my book will have more chapters, but that's Ok. (This is also shaping (Y\N)'S relationship with Lance. Cause this is a Lance X Reader)

So this is an 'episode' I made.

I'd been sitting outside his cryo-pod for days. Allura actually had some sympathy, in which I was surprised, and Keith's been helping me out, despite him having something against  Lance. My best friend, who had been for years, is dying.

It all happened so fast.

Galra soldiers were coming from all directions, and the team and I were separated. The least amount of Galra was in my area, and I easily wiped out all of them that were near me.

I couldn't find the others, but luckily our helmets had com-links.

"Lance? Lance come in!"

"(Y\N)? (Y\N) where are you?!"

"I... I don't know! I'm near a large grass overhang, where are you?!

"Somewhere! The only landmark I see is a.... Uh... A cave! There's a cave! I'm gonna go inside!"

"Lance, no! Don't go in there!"

There was static on my com-link. And I knew then that I'd lost communication with Lance.

"Lance? LANCE!"

When he didn't respond, Shiro's voice had instead.

"(Y\N)? Where are you?!"

"A large grass overhang!"

"Where's Lance?! I'm with Keith and Pidge!"

"The only clue I have is the cave he talked about. Luckily when I was flying with my lion above the planet, I saw one a few miles away from here! I'm going in!"

"Alright! Stay safe!"

"I will!"

I ran as fast as I could, and in a few minutes, which felt like hours, I'd found it.

"LANCE?!"

No response.

"LANCE!"

Still none. The only reply was my voice echoing through the cave. I had no other choice but to go inside.

I set foot into the cave, and I saw a trail. A trail of blood.

"Oh my god, no!"

I had to run, fast enough so I wasn't to late. But... I was.

Lance was unconscious, wounded, I didn't even know if he was still alive.

"Shiro! I found him! He doesn't look too good!"

"We're on our way! Hang tight! "

"You got it, team leader!"

"(Y\N) you need to rest."

Keith came over to me, given that we'd just reunited, two  former best friends now scared half to death of the current situation.

I sighed. He'd constantly been bugging me with things like 'eat' or 'rest' all I'd been doing was training, and sleeping near Lance's cryo-pod 24\7, even Princess Allura and Coran were worried.

It'd been almost a week since it had happened, and we've gone a week having to hide from the Galra, given we couldn't, CAN'T form Voltron without Lance.

As I was eating some food too as a snack, sitting next to Lance's cryo-pod, Allura walked in, and she sat next to me.

"Keith is right, (Y/N). You must take care of yourself-"

Just as I was about to speak again, the sizzle of the pod opening filled my ears and I turned around.

Lance was Ok. Alive. On his feet.

"(Y\N)? Allura? What's going on?"

Happy tears filled my eyes and I hugged him.

"Hey? Why are you hugging me? What's the occasion?"

"No reason."
