The Maiden, The Prince, And The Princess
"Uh a little help, please?" The girl asked.
Arion immediately leapt from his horse, drawing his blade.
"I'm sorry, Miss, but do you mind if I cut your hair?"
She pouted, her lips rose pink. The girl sighed. "Of course. Just not to short, kay?"
He chuckled. She was stuck to the tower and that was what she was worrying about?
He held his sword high, aiming to cut it as long as he could manage. Arion swiftly brought down and the young woman tore away from the tower.
She grinned at him, brightly. "Thanks for that."
Her blonde hair now went past her waist, down to her shins, a couple inches longer than the ice blue dress she wore.
"Not a problem." He smiled. "But may I ask what you were doing in the tower?"
Surprise crossed her face. "Oh! I-uh... Live there."
"In the tower?" Arion asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Yes in the tower!" The girl hissed. "You say that like it's strange."
"Well... It is strange." Arion scratched the back of his head. "I'm sorry. I don't mean to be rude."
"No it's fine. I suppose I don't live the most normal life." She sighed. She smiled at him. "I'm sorry. Where are my manners. I'm Rapunzel."
"Rapunzel, huh I've never heard a name like that."
"I told you I was strange." Her blue eyes almost glowed as she smiled up at him. There were a good four inches between them in height. "I prefer Zel."
"Zel? That's pretty." He admitted.
"And you are?"
Arion turned away, embarrassed that he was so caught off guard. Dang those hypnotizing big blues! "Arion, my name is Arion."
"And I'm Lacey, his sister." Lacey had strolled up and stood next to them, without either noticing. It was Zel's turn to blush at being distracted.
"Well I suppose I should be going. I'm sure you both have better places to be anyways." Zel fixed her gaze on the ground.
Arion shook his head frantically. "No! Uh we don't have any where we really need to be. Maybe we can help! Where are you headed?"
Zel continued to look at the ground. She twisted her arms in anxiousness, playing with her hands. "Well... I'm not quite sure where it is."
"Yeah that might make getting there a tad difficult." Lacey retorted.
"Well I don't have any maps or-"
"We've got plenty, back home! Right, Lacey?" Arion chirped, eager to aid her further.
"Well yeah, but if you don't even know where you're going-"
"Well I sort of know where I'm going... I'd need to look at a map or something." Zel mumbled.
"Come with us." Arion offered. "It's the least we can do to aid you, under your circumstances."
Zel glanced at Lacey, a smirk playing at her lips. "Your brother sure is the noble type."
"Annoying isn't it?" Lacey rolled her eyes.
"What do you say?" Arion offered his hand.
"I don't wish to bring you into this." Zel shook her head.
"Pfft don't worry about us!" Lacey stated. "We could use some adventure."
Arion glared at his sister. "It's just a trip to the castle."
Zel took his outstretched hand. "I suppose I could use a bit of aid. But all I need is to see some maps."
With that Arion helped the maiden onto his horse, the day still fresh as they rode out of the forest.
