Aoyama has depression and/or anxiety disorder. This is actually more of a theory than a headcannon so oh well. The real reason I think that is his whole interaction with Iida trying to find self worth. As a victim of GOD (General Anxiety disorder) I see many parallels with my emotions he feels when Aoyama is not being over the top and with my emotions.
