❄LOST❄

Pavement covered with snow and people scarce, they ran with no care. Cold air hit their faces as the girl giggled.

Some distance later, both the teenagers huffed, feeling out of breath. The brown curls that once were bouncing around wildly come to rest. Steely grey eyes were warm as she overlooked looked at the boy that followed her around.

Since the age of two, they were inseparable and he had been following her around since then.

"Not fair. You-huff-took-huff-a quick start." Aziel huffed, still feeling out of breath. His warm hazel eyes, almost brown, matched her's.

She squealed as he trapped her in his arms and picked her up. Her melodious laugh echoed around as he revolved her.

Cheeks flushed both of them couldn't keep the smile off their faces. They were close when her feet touch the ground. Nose almost touching they breathed in each other's essence.

Relaxed in his arms, she closed her eyes as his lips came down on hers. Moving in sync with the number of times they had done the same. Shyness was long forgotten in their gestures as his arms tightened and her finger laced through his hair.

Pulling away reluctantly at the same time, they took in gulps of air. Their lips were now as flushed as their cheeks and hair a small mess. Smile slipped on her face as she leaned her head against his chest.

The same words that had been in her heart for long and on her tongue for almost two years, made an appearance.

"I love you," she whispered slowly.

His smile grew and seemed happier than that of a kid on Christmas morning.

"I love you too." he reciprocated.

They spent their evening roaming across the familiar market square, enjoying the warm hot chocolates in their hands. Words weren't important between them, just the comfort of each other's presence was enough.

With night nearing they walked back to their neighborhood. With hands intertwined they crossed the icy road.

A loud horn and skidding noise gained her attention before his. Eyes wide she shouted and pushed Aziel out of the way.

Before Aziel could comprehend what happened, A car had tramped over her delicate body.

Blood pooled under her as stars slowly made an appearance. Her bones were bent and face a bit scratched but still, she was gorgeous in his eyes.

Tears made a path down his eyes, as he wailed for help and waited for the ambulance he called to show up.

With one last breath, her eyes went as dead as the night and life left her body as peacefully as the ending note of a symphony. She fled with her soul and his heart, leaving a gaping hole in its place.

That day they declared Uriella Schultz, the girl who was his everything dead on the spot.

With sobs wracking through him, he cried for the loss of the girl who left him forever.
