That passed

Between me and you

Unseen unheard

Intangible but true

No flowers

No gifts

No promises to keep

Just smoky pieces

Of hearts that seep

Into our fibers

Deep, oh so deep....

Beyond this world

No give no take

Just a quiver of the heart

Just a quake and a shake

Until you walked on

And I went on my way

Nothing happened

Nothing portrayed

Except a love so deep

It became

Our thoughts

Our ways

It became us

Never spoken

Or touched

Or asked for

Still

Every atom

Unextricable

As one

Just infinite light

Of the sun

Irreversible

Nuclear fusion
