"Are you fucking kidding me?"
Hoseok laughed nervously, wrapping his arm tighter around the bashful looking Hani. After dating for 4 months, the girl still wasn't used to his one shorter friend's temper.
"Well, I don't know. I thought why not?"
"Why not? Hoseok we've had this day trip planned for months. I even bought tickets ahead of time!" The blonde haired man yelled, pulling the two pieces of paper out of his pocket.
The brown haired male cringed, Yoongi's voice echoing loudly in his granite parlor.
"That's why I bought another ticket."
Hani, held up her hand, looking at the shorter man apologetically. Yoongi felt sorry too, knowing that it more than likely wasn't her idea.
He just wished that he could have had some alone time with his friend. But now, he had to deal with all the lovey dovey shit. Why couldn't couples just find their own time to kiss and bother people? Hoseok and Hani were particularly bad. They were all cutesy, and acted like newly weds.
Yoongi knew, he was now the third wheel.
"It's fine, whatever. At least Hani isn't annoying." The blonde haired man stated dryly, grabbing his keys to walk out the door.
"That's the nicest thing you've ever said to me." Hani's small voice piped up, a small smile painting her face.
Yoongi smiled back unwillingly, motioning to the open door.
"And also the last."
***********
It was while waiting in line with Thing One and Thing Two, that Yoongi had an epiphany.
People are disgusting.
And so is love. If you could call it that.
Standing in line for almost two hours, watching Hoseok and Hani hold hands was torture enough. They would kiss occasionally, the smacking spud drifting in the air between them. Their stupid giggling making it hard for the elder to get a word in. Yoongi would look, then glare, then look away. Trying to get them to catch a hint that they should stop. But nope.
It got worse.
Hani leaned on the bars holding the shape of the line. She held her arms out to the side.
"Jack, I'm flying." She yelled cutely, winking back at Hoseok.
Yoongi watched in amazement, the man ran up behind her. Holding her fucking waist.
"I'll never let go Rose."
It was in that moment, that Yoongi gagged loudly without holding back.
Hoseok froze, Hani looking at him with wide eyes. The brown haired man got down from the metal rails, turning to face his friend.
It was one of the first times, Yoongi had seen his joyous friend so serious. All of the light, gone from his eyes. Instead, an accusatory expression stayed on his pointed face.
"Don't you think it's a little sad?"
Yoongi laughed bitterly, wondering what the elder could possibly be pissed about. Not like he had the right too after ruining their day. The blonde haired man couldn't wait to see what he'd say.
"What is?"
Hoseok walked closer to him, his eyes uncharacteristically dark. The elder wanted to step away from him, but continued to look him straight in the eye with his chin lifted.
"That you're pining over a girl that's about to get married."
Hani audibly gasped, as Yoongi hung his head low. The smile that graced his haughty face immediately dropping.
The blonde man, thought he'd been able to hide it well. But Hoseok wasn't dumb. Yoongi hid it pretty well when they were altogether. He was normal as always. Teasing Jimin, and talking with Celine.
Maybe everyone else in the friend group could pretend not to see it, but he never let it go.
Hoseok had been there, when Yoongi got his invitation. Saw the dejected way he threw it to the ground. How he told the younger he wasn't feeling well, and went to his bedroom. The door slamming, and then the world becoming silent.
"The wedding is in six months Hoseok. To be fair I'm not sure who I'm more envious of. Jimin or Celine." Yoongi said, smiling falsely. Hoping it would reach his eyes.
Humor often helped a broken heart.
Yoongi knew it was stupid. But it was only a simple crush at first. He thought Celine was pretty, charming, and witty.
She was a good friend. They became so close through everything. He was there even after Jimin wasn't. He realized just how similar they were. How they were on the same wavelength for every situation. She complimented him in every perfect way.
And he fell for it. It was the first time he truly felt that way about anyone. The existential feeling of butterflies and sparks.
And yet in her eyes, all he saw was friendship.
The night of the exhibition, Yoongi didn't know how to feel. He wanted her to be happy, that's all he wants. It was his last time thinking that maybe things could have been different. Maybe they could have been together. That's why he kept asking if she was ready. That's why when they hugged, he didn't want to let go.
He knew after that night, he would have to let go.
He knows Jimin loves her more than anything. And she loves him more than anything.
Yoongi didn't have a chance, and he didn't want one.
And that's why love is stupid.
"Whatever floats that boat of yours." Hoseok said, rolling his eyes. He could tell the elder was lying.
"Hoseok, I'm happy for them. Truly. They are both my best friends, and they deserve each other. I think I'm just lonely and bitter."
This, was not a lie. He was happy for them. Selfishly, the happiness for himself was not apparent. And that's what held him in his angry and depressed stupor.
Hoseok snorted, glad that his friend finally admitted that he had a bad attitude.
"Hey, you said it not me."
Yoongi shook his head, clicking his tongue within his mouth. In the next second, he was on the other side of the rail.
"Whatever I gotta go." He said, waving to Hoseok and Hani.
The younger friend looked dumbfounded, like he couldn't believe his eyes. He flailed over the side, grabbing the blonde man's wrist.
"Yoongi, stay. I'm sorry this was supposed to be our day." Hoseok begged him, his light brown eyes full of sorrow.
The blonde responded, without any hostility. He wasn't mad. He was just lonely.
"But it isn't. And I need to go."
Yoongi pulled away, leaving Hoseok to pout.
But Hani was there, to provide him comfort after his best friend left.
************
The man ended up at his favorite bar in Seoul. It was quiet, without being too tacky. He also liked the way the blue neon lights lit up his white hair, and delicate face.
Not that it truly mattered.
He sat, head on the bar table. His small cranberry and vodka fluorescent and calling him. It wasn't often that he drank in sadness. But not every day was like today. Luckily, Uber was a thing.
What happened with Mia and Jeongguk haunted him.
"Min Yoongi, you look like shit." Minho, his favorite bartender said. The man slapped him on the elbow forcing him to lift his heavy head.
The blonde took it offensively, but still laughed along with him. It was the alcohol that started to buzz through his mind. It somehow made him nicer.
"Say that to my new Vetements jacket and my Yeezys."
"Yeah, when I get my next paycheck of $50.00" The man retorted.
They both laughed, until someone called for Minho.
Yoongi was glad, because the man would have stopped him after the 8th shot. And he didn't want to stop.
It could have been minutes, hours. Yoongi ignored every call on his phone. It turned into days weeks and months. The blue lights fading in and out of his eyes. The noises of cellphones, an people talking all unreal.
Yoongi never felt more alone.
He felt the stool beside him move.
The pretty faced man looked up, ready to say something mean.
But then he saw her.
The man, who was not phased by anything, had his jaw drop open.
She was dressed in a red top, and leather short. A black fur coat to go on top. Classy and hot. Her long black wavy hair reached her waist. Thought she was ordering a drink, from her side profile he could tell she was gorgeous. A sharp jaw, red heart lips, and bedroom eyes. Her white skin stood out from the stark colors, making her look like Snow White.
Who was she?
"Give me the Bahama Bay Breeze." She asked, voice silken and higher pitched. Yet she spoke so confidently.
The blonde was whipped.
"Hi, I'm Yoongi." The man said, leaning forward so far in his seat he almost fell out.
It was silent for a second, as she stiffened. He gulped, not used to being so forward like this. Especially with a woman so beautiful. The liquid courage really ran through his veins.
She turned to him, the full power of her gaze turning him to mush. The woman lifted her eyebrow, staring at him up and down.
"Hi, I really don't give a fuck."
Oh yes.
The man never felt so self conscious, or exhilarated. He should have been mad, but a wide and genuine smile formed on his face.
The girl must've gotten so much attention from every guy. They were probably falling at her feet. She was sick of it. Probably showered in compliments and fake promises. It must have been boring.
But Yoongi wasn't like every guy. So he decided to go with a different approach.
This was exactly what I needed.
"I didn't either. I was just asking so I could tell the bouncers who to personally remove from beside me." Yoongi said, giving her the blank side eye as he pretended not to care. He drank the rest of his drink.
Not looking, and unseeingly effected by her aura.
Yoongi felt a hand touch his shoulder, the smell of cinnamon alerting him,
He turned, the girl smirking at him. Am impressed and intrigued expression written on her face. The morbid little bleach blonde, the most interesting person she'd ever met.
"I'm Joy."

(A/N): so I haven't posted in this book in a while! I'm sorry! But I think it's better to pace these chapters out.
Anyways what did y'all think? Was the Yoongi thing a surprise to you?
What do you think of his new potential love interest?
I don't want people to think I think you need a significant other to be happy. Because I truly don't. But in this situation, Yoongi feels left out because he's the only one in his friend group who was alone. And in this story, I like to think he's never dated so he feels like he's missing out. Also, he needs to move on from Celine.
Do you guys have any questions at all?
Btw I love y'all! And please check out my other stories. Doll House is the main one I'm working on rn!!!
