48-Epilogue
"What I can do is
Make a pretty flower
That resembles you
Blossom in this garden, in this world
Then breathe as the person you know
But I still want you"
The Truth Untold-BTS
✨🌙🌙🌙🌙🌙🌙✨
1 year later
Celine woke up, golden light pouring into her eyes. Though not a morning person, she couldn't help but deny the comfort of her body wrapped in silky pink sheets.
The girl shut her eyes gently, yawning as she burrowed herself in them. Savoring the warm vanilla and lavender scent. The movement causing the arm wrapped around her waist to fall off of her. The girl as she heard a soft groan to her right. A man beautifully laying beside her, where he belonged.
Jimin. Her boyfriend.
Her Jimin.
The butterflies attacked her, a fury of tickles in her stomach. Cheeks a bright pink from blushing. Nose scrunching without a second thought, a wild grin spreading across her face as she stared at the man she loved.
Silver hair sprinkling across his face like tiny jewels. Lips pursed out like a baby chicks, his eye lashes fluttering in sleep. Nose pink from the December chill, soft leaving his mouth. The girl couldn't help but laugh at his smushed face. Celine leaned forward, placing a kiss on one of his sharp, but pillowy cheeks.
Celine would never get used to it. Waking up in, with him so close. All the happiness in the world, making the mornings seem a little brighter. Without the fear of having to leave. Of getting caught. The anxiety of knowing they would be pulled apart from each other, gone.
They were themselves. They were true.
They were as perfect as love itself.
This, was her life now.
Since last winter, a lot had happened.
She had become a full time artist. The whole city knew of her abilities now. Her work was even admitted to a museum. The girl couldn't have been more happy, doing what she loved rather than just surviving.
And most importantly, her and Jimin got back together.
They had reconciled, and turned their relationship into something real. A friendship with stability, communication, and hope. It all became finite after that fateful exhibit. After he had shown her just how much he cared for her. Celine had decided to move in with Jimin. They didn't want to waste another minute not being together. For it had been too painful to be apart.
It was not a huge life adjustment, for it was what each person wanted.
Jimin set her up a studio in one of his empty rooms. He couldn't stop fidgeting when she moved in, cheeks flushed. Watching her as she placed her clothes in his closet, setting up blankets in the living room. Putting her favorite mugs in the cupboard. Celine couldn't help the giddiness she felt, as her things became his. And his became hers.
It had been a happy cheerful occasion.
The last place they had to set up, was the bathroom. The girl had wondered why he was so sheepish about this room.
Her eyes landing on a spot near the sink. The girl rolled her eye, seeing the toothbrush that appeared after 3 months of them hanging out. The girl had been worried at first, thinking it was for Jimin's other endeavors before her. But he insured her it was just in case someone needed it.
"Jimin, you have to get rid of the random guest tooth brush."
"That's yours."
Celine furrowed her brows, hands on her hips.
"No it isn't."
The man shook his head, blushing. Not looking directly at me as he answered.
"I've been waiting for a while."
He had bought her a blue tooth brush. That sat directly next to his yellow one. All along, that toothbrush that haunted her worst insecurities was for her.
She turned around, looking at the man who had been waiting for her arival for so long.
For some reason, that's what made Celine cry.
Jimin no longer held that sullen loneliness in his heart, for she made him whole again.
And Celine finally felt like she had a home with someone who truly cherished her.
Celine giggled at the thought, pressing one more kiss onto her sleeping prince's cheek. The girl slowly tried to slink out of the bed. Eyes flickering to his form, carefully moving further and further. With the slightest noise, he would wake up. It was something new she had learned.
Jimin was a light sleeper.
She was safe until she slipped on pulled the sheets off of his body. The brunette winced, knowing she was caught then.
Sure enough, she felt his arms wrap tightly around her again. His warm skin brushing against her stomach and around her waist. Bringing her so close, she could barely move an inch. It happened every time she tried to leave the bed. Not that she minded. She moaned in comfort, and sunk into his chest.
After a couple minutes she turned in his arms, eyes bright as he continued to hold her.
Jimin's chocolate eyes opened only a fraction, as if he could sense her gaze. Celine smirked at him, causing the man to send a lazy smile back.
He thought he had won.
She sat up, finally loosening his grasp a bit. The 22 year old protested, still holding the area around her hips now. Face narrowed in the expression he usually saved for when he whined.
"Come back to me." Jimin whined out, voice grumbly from sleep.
She tapped the apex of his small nose, making his eyes flutter, and the bridge scrunch up.
"I'm right here."
The adult man pouted, lips puffing out cutely. Eyes now fully open, their crescent glory sending her heart into a wild frenzy.
"You aren't close enough."
Celine sighed, a tenderness filling her heart as she stared down at the soft boy. Who was so unwilling to let go. He held onto her like she was about to go into battle.
"I want some tea, Jimin. You should wake up too." The girl said softly, smoothing back his silver hair with her fingers.
Jimin grumbled, snuggling into her more. Deadlocked with his head now laying on her chest. The girl looked down at his tired face, her eyebrows furrowed in concern.
This entire week, the man had been waking up late. For he had been coming home late in the evenings as well. He always came home super tired, and stressed out.
Celine had thought it was late night business meetings, but he'd been acting why too weird. Constant puppy dog eyes.
She tried asking Jin, but he was avoiding her as well. All Celine knew, was that the party better be fucking banging. And Beyoncé had to be a performer.
Hoseok and Yoongi would only call her in brief intervals. Claiming that they were "too busy", and needed to "talk to her later" after mentioning Jimin.
Finally she broke down, asking if Jimin was secretly dying. The man just laughed, taking her into his arms. Apparently it wasn't as serious as she thought.
Jimin said that they planning a huge surprise party for Hani's birthday. Hoseok wanted it to be special, since they were dating for 6 months now.
Celine hoped he would be back to normal soon. For she couldn't help but feel a little worried for her boyfriend.
The girl was pulled out of her inquiry, as he moved along her. His nose tracing along the delicate skin of her neck. Tickling the area, and her heart.
Jimin lifted himself off the bed now, the couple facing each other side by side. His parted hair draping into his dark eyes, that danced around her face like a ballerina. A playful smile grew across his pink lips. His collarbones a work of art on his shirtless skin, pink sheets covering his lower half.
"Why wake up when I can lay with you in my arms?"
Celine's breath hitched as the man leaned in, closer and closer to her. His eyes flickering from her lips, to her surprised golden irises. Just as they were about to meet, the girl pulled back. Jimin lurched forward a bit, eyes opening in disappointment as he realized he had not landed on his target.
"Isn't it too early to be this smooth?" The girl asked, sardonically as she pretended to check her nails.
She looked up suggestively at the Jimin, who was still so close to her. Tongue darting out to wet his lips, and sleep still apparent in his bedroom eyes. His proximity overwhelming.
"Isn't it too early to give me an attitude?"
Celine defiantly looked away, smirking a bit. Jimin's eyes never left her heart shaped face. Or the way the gray light of the city shone bright as a diamond across her face.
The man smiled, knowing the girl was distracted. While she wasn't paying attention, he moved to her stomach and started tickling her. Celine thrashed around, hitting the top of Jimin's bare shoulders. His lean muscles straining, as he dug into her soft flesh. Mirroring her own expression, with crescent eyes and a wide open mouth. Her teeth like snowflakes against her pink lips and she tried to hold in her giggles.
"Will you give up your attitude now?" The man threatened jokingly, his hands becoming motionless at her sides. Deciding from her flushed cheek that her punishment was enough. Both a little breathless from laughter.
Celine's eyes were wild with mischief. Tapping the underside of Jimin's chin with her index finger. Forcing the beautiful man to stare directly into her eyes.
"Never."
Jimin's eyes widened at the word, as he fell away from her a bit. Yet his eyes still never left hers.
His plump lips parted, tongue darting out to wet them. The anxious habit not going unnoticed by Celine. The sharp man opened his mouth, as if to say something, but quickly shut it. The man shook his head, a smile lifting at the corner. A wild look on his face, a burst of hope and affection. Looking at the girl, like her face would be the key to whatever question he wished to answer.
Celine couldn't help but notice the fiery look on his face. The tension in his body.
Or the endless reflection of stars in his eyes.
"It can always be never, you know that right." Jimin said, his voice lowering. Gaining a more serious tone as he leaned back on his lithe arms.
Celine just stared at the man, astonished by his sudden mood change. Not understanding what the hell he was going on about in the slightest. She blamed it on his lack of sleep.
"Okay, whatever you just said, it's too early for that. I can't decipher Shakespeare at 8 in the morning love." She said, in a dry voice.
And yet the man had already lifted himself off the bed, out from under their sheets. Completely ignoring what he was saying. Heading towards one of his drawers that he only used occasionally.
The brunette sat up onto the bed, now fully paying attention. Jimin was acting weird. Frantically pushing around his stuff, as if he were searching for something. His muscled back, and cute thighs on full view as he rustled around.
"What are you doing."
"You'll see." Jimin replied, still not turning around.
Looking like he made some progress in what he searched for. Celine saw him pull something small out of a container, but couldn't see exactly what it was. Yet, even though he found the object, he remained by their vanity. Gripping onto the side of the wood like he needed it to stand.
"You're worrying me." The girl said aloud, voice carrying across the quiet room. Her voice trembling a bit from the secretive way he was carrying himself.
She didn't want to assume the worst.
Everything was going so well.
But in her world, she knew not too expect too much.
"There's no need to worry. I'm fine." Jimin said, finally turning around. Whatever he had in his hand hidden behind his back.
The man bit his lip, looking at every corner of the room but their bed. Cheeks tainted a slight pink, and heart racing a mile a minute.
You can do this.
Jimin took in a big breath, before walking back towards where Celine was sitting. Trying to diffuse the tension that sat within the room. He knew he'd been stressing her out lately. With the late nights, the tiredness, and the secrets.
But he had been planning this moment for a while.
Celine giggled, cutting into Jimin's day dream.
And his stalling.
"You look nervous." She said happily, realizing whatever he was going to tell her wasn't going to be bad.
The man didn't look guilty.
He looked excited.
Jimin smiled softly, finally sitting back down on the bed. His arms still behind his back, as the soft material dipped beneath his body.
"That's because I am."
"Why are you looking at me like that?"
"Like what?" Jimin asked, already knowing the answer. The tender look on his face enough to melt her.
Celine swallowed harshly, her own nerves appearing as well. His effect on her was as strong as the first day they met. Her silver Adonis still making her weak at the knees.
"Like there's nothing else in this room but us."
Jimin looked at her knowingly, before taking a big breath.
"I could have done this on top of the Eiffel Tower, or at an art museum. Or any place that you know and love, and that we find special. But that didn't feel right. And to be honest, I can't hold it inside anymore. I can't wait. This, this is the place where I realized that I love you."
Celine's body was buzzing. Her heart beating faster than ever before, a lump forming in her throat. The speech sounding similar to the first time he had told her his true feelings. The girl didn't know what to expect, think, or feel but she'd never seen the man so lost for words. She remained silent.
The silver haired smiled again, eyes ink lines. Lips like strawberries.
A small, black box.
Celine gasped, the sheets pooling around her waist as she flinched back.
"And, this is where I will make the promise to love you forever."
"What?" The girl exclaimed out, in disbelief and pure shock.
The man laughed, eyes glancing at the small space between them. Bashful as his cheeks heated up.
"I know it's unexpected, and underwhelming. But this is where I told you that I loved you for the first time. I want to earn your love more and more with everyday."
He held the black object in front of her, winking.
"Park fucking Jimin." Celine said, again mouth dropping open as wide as the box now was.
The girl looked down at the large stone, propped on a gold band. Silver and gold, like her and Jimin. The diamond itself shining like the full moon in the sky.
"Celine, will you marry me?" Jimin asked, voice cracking as he pleaded with care in his eyes.
The small girl was silent, her heart shaped face unreadable.
After everything they had been through. The affair, the hardships, and the loss. He'd been there to help her though everything.
He loved Mia.
He showed her that she had talent.
He painted with her.
He loved her.
He helped her love herself.
And so much more.
She loved him. With every fiber of her being, she loved the gentle faced man with the silver hair.
How could Celine say no?
"Did you even have to ask?" The said sarcastically, leaning in towards the man. A large smile spreading across her face. Heart soaring up to the sky.
"Is that a yes?" Jimin asked cutely, eyes wide with surprise. The box almost dropping out of his hands.
The golden girl rolled her eyes, wrapping her arms around his neck. His hands slowly making their way around her waist.
"Yes, you idiot."
Jimin smiled again, brighter than she'd ever seen it. Her whole body lighting up at the expression, as if the sun filled her room.
They were engaged.
Nothing could have felt more perfect in this moment. Nothing could explain how each felt. There were no words or feelings that could show just how meant to be, their union was.
It was all Jimin wanted, for the longest time.
It just felt right.
Elated. Allured. Entranced. Shocked. Happy. Joyful. Loved. Peaceful.
But most importantly, Celine felt whole again.
"Park Celine, it has a nice ring to it. Doesn't it?" The man asked, nose brushed hers. Pink lips caressing the name as if it were her skin.
Celine couldn't deny it, just how perfect it truly sounded.
The girl exclaimed suddenly, moving away from Jimin. Squeaking wildly as she realized everything she had to do. Jimin just laughed, watching as the girl hopped haphazardly around the bed.
"Oh shit I have to tell my mom and my dad! And Sky, he's so protective but it's fine. They love you, they will be so happy. And Jin! Hopefully Namjoon will take the hint and do it too. Oh my god, and Yoongi and Hoseok! And Taehyung, but I'm not sure if he will want to go. They broke up-"
Jimin interuppted, trying to calm the girl down. His arm wrapped around her waist again. His soon to be wife's waist.
"Yes, everyone important will come. Everyone and everything you want, will be yours."
Her eyes lit up, like a firework show. A Disney princess in her own right. Her hands clasped together cutely by her face, and expression full of wonder as her prince promised her the world.
"Everything? Because I've always wanted the ceremony to be in Seoul. At that pretty cherry blossom garden. It would be so beautiful."
"And then we can honeymoon where you told me you loved me the first time." Jimin said slyly, giving the girl a pointed look.
Celine cocked her head in confusion. Wondering why he wanted to stay here for that special occasion.
"We're honeymooning in your bedroom? Like I'm not complaining since we'd still have a lot of fun. Like a lot, but-"
"The first time you said I love you, was not in this room. Think harder."
"Jimin what are you saying, we were right in this room when-"
Celine paused, eyes widening. At the same time Jimin rolled his eyes, interrupting.
Oh my god.
"Did you already forget? France?" The man said, a sly smile working it's way across his fate.
Like the girl could forget.
But she hadn't known he was awake. For the next couple days, he had acted normal.
Even thought it didn't matter now, the girl felt pretty embarrassed. And stupid, considering if he didn't love her back that could have gone pretty awkwardly.
She had been so worried of his reaction, and yet she had unknowingly said it first.
"Shit, I can't believe you heard me?!"
Jimin shook his head, tapping her nose.
"Of course I did. I never fall asleep before you do. I like to protect you, in case you have a bad dream. Besides, I would have never had the courage to say it first if I hadn't known you felt the same."
Celine shivered, feeling the string of fate that ran between them.
"Jimin I-"
"Love you." He finished, with a smile.
Celine shook her head, tears finally starting to brim her eyes. This is all should could have asked for. All she could have wanted.
For someone as beautiful in every way, to spend the rest of their life with her.
My Jimin.
"I can't believe this. That I will finally be yours."
It seemed impossible, no more than a year ago. With all the odds stacked against them. And their pride, becoming a wall between them.
Yet, none of it was enough to keep them apart.
Jimin glanced at her, slowly taking the ring out of the box. The diamond sparkling like the liquid in her eyes. The man took her dainty hand in his, rubbing the soft skin with his thumb. Her other hand covering her mouth, as he slowly slid the golden ring, onto her fourth awaiting finger.
The man giggled at Celine. Usually, he was the one to sprout tears before she did. And yet in this beautiful moment, all he could do was smile. He couldn't even begin to cry. Jimin was just way too happy.
Jimin leaned forward, pressing a gently kiss to Celine's forehead before speaking. Grabbing her head gently between his palms, and smoothing away the tears that threatened to drop.
"And you are mine. Like the moon and sun in the sky, we are connected. For one cannot exist without the other."
Their adoration and devotion for one another, clear in their eyes.
Jimin leaned in first, placing a soft kiss upon her lips. Celine craned her head back, eyes closed in ecstasy as she let his mouth caress hers. They pulled apart for only a moment, Jimin's eyes blazing as they fought to catch their breath.
He gently pushed her back by her shoulders, following after her now completely hovering on top. Jimin's other hand cradling her head as her body was placed flat onto the bed. Her eyes wide as she stared at his ethereal beauty. Jimin's strength keeping his body above hers, only small areas of flesh touching.
The man leaned in, tantalizing Celine. a deliciously slow kiss. Celine's body exploding with supernovas as his lips moved slowly across hers. He rested, for a moment, tasting the vanilla and mint of her lips. Smiling, before opening to her fully again. Ready for the millions of times they will be able to kiss in their years to come. The warmth between them enough to stave away the winter chill.
Soon, Celine forgot words and thoughts. All she should feel, was the skin her fingers held desperately onto. The intoxicating motion of their lips flowing endlessly. Jimin's slight moans of need and want the only sound beside parted sighs. The kiss deepening, as he dug his fingers into her hair, and pushed their bodies impossibly closer.
Jimin pulled away, only to look into her beautiful eyes. His breath breath unable to be caught. It was indescribable. To see the love they held within. Wondering how in the world he got so lucky. His chest swelled, that feeling of deep affection soaring within.
"Jimin." Celine breathed out, so much emotion in her voice.
How could she say all she wanted, when the words didn't exist?
Jimin looked at her tenderly, knowing everything she wanted to breathe out but couldn't.
"Celine." He said, the melody to her written song. His thumb tracing her swollen lips.
Jimin ran his hands from her face, among her body. Down her arms, and following the veins to her hands. He smiled, his eyes disappearing slightly. A glint in them, as he interlocked their fingers and lifted her hands to his mouth.
He kissed each of her small fingers, a ribbon of pink on the fair skin. Letting them fall back onto the bed like swaying willow branches. Kissed the supple eyelids, covered in lilac veins and shadows of night. Fell in love again with the way the light reflected from her brilliant eyes, and the sunlit intelligence they held. Kissed the edge of a smile, that bloomed gracefully across her face with each touch.
"My love." Jimin said, twirling her hair within his fingers. Still loving the way the brown tresses resembled burnt caramel.
The girl couldn't hold back anymore.
Slowly, Celine traced his collar bones watching his breath hitch, as goosebumps appeared across his skin. She could see just how much her touch affected him, with each stroke. His eyes fluttering, and chest more labored as her hands made the same patterns as his did.
Jimin lifting her white night shift off of her. Celine did the same, pulling off the Calvin Klein's on his lower half.
"Beautiful." She said, only a whisper. Hands still running across his skin like the spring rain.
Jimin furrowed his brows, a look of pain almost flashing across his face. But Celine recognized the look. For she made it every single time, he chipped a piece away of her insecurities. Jimin knew that when she said that word, she wasn't talking about the way he looked. It was the way she felt, while he looked at her.
Jimin passionately kissing her again. Celine hungrily met him, pulling against the taut muscles of his back. Feeling the relaxed tension they held. Their hearts paced at the speed of light.
"Are you ready angel?" Jimin asked, breathless as his lips brushed against hers. A painful look of longing resting across his porcelain face.
Celine arched up, eyes fluttering at his words. At the feel of his warmth and light. Shaking at the way his smooth hands brushed up and down her sides.
"Please." The brunette whispered out, urging him with her gaze.
It was enough.
The man lined up with her, kissing her cheeks the entire time. Making sure she felt safe and loved. Making sure she felt just as connected as him. The man kissed her again, slowly this time.
Lips never parting as he entered her slowly. The action that had once doomed them, bringing them more closely together whenever.
The man moved inside of her, making them both feel relief. The girl clung onto, in disbelief that this man would make an eternal promise with her. Every touch felt more special. Every kiss, more meaningful. The meeting of their bodies more of a galaxy of fate, than two humans just being together. The love flowed between them. The loss. And everything good in between.
Celine felt the familiar hold on her body, the feeling building. The dates look in Jimin's dark eyes, showing he was ready all the same. The love and the emotions spoken clearly between their irises. His strokes becoming aching. Finally they let go, spilling soft I love you and endless whispers across the pink silk sheets that had become theirs.
This was their descent.
The man cradled her in his arms, just like how the velvety sky cradled the moon. Pressing soft kisses against her skin, as she fell back down to earth. Slowly, their breaths calmed and hearts beat at a syncopated pace. Affection feeling like a thread that sewed the pair's fate into one single line.
"Have I finally earned you?" Jimin said breaking the silence, a slight smirk in his gaze. A hidden insecurity in his smile.
Celine nodded her head, breathless as she looked up with him with all the conviction she could muster. All the truth she held in her soul. All the affection she felt in her heart, for the silver haired man.
"You've earned my all."
Jimin smiled, as he leaned over her. Eyes lifting away from his fiancé for a second. Tracing Celine's golden irises, to the way her hair spread out like a fan. To the pretty sheets that enveloped her like his whole mind and body had. And back to her loving embrace. Pure radiance and adoration in her loving eyes.
His descent, had finally come to an end. Jimin, had made it back to the starry sky of her smile.
The words fell out of him as easily as a confession. As tender as a rose bud. As smooth as the sailing wind. His hand reaching out, to brush across her carnation cheeks. His lips, tracing the skin of her lips. Breathing in his endless poetry.
"We began, where we ended."
▫️THE END▫️
<><><><><><><><><><><><><>
(A/N):
(we began where we ended, refers to how they met the first night. Their relationship "ended" in his bed that night, when she got up and left. But it "began" truly again, after he asked her hand in marriage.)
I'm in shock.
I started this book with a bang, why not end it was a bang am I right? Or am I right? 😏😭😭😭
it's over...fuck 😭😭😭 I've been dreading this day for a while.
Wow. Guys I'm really sad so imma stall tf outta this. This is going to be the longest authors note you've ever read.
I'm actually tearing up rn and I hate it.
I honestly don't even know what to say.
Just so you know, this entire time I made it possible for an alternate ending to the story.
Here it goes:
I was going to make Jimin a guardian angel. He was originally assigned to guard Kim Mia.
He saved Celine instead.
As his punishment, he was forced to become a human and fit into their lives. Forced to love a human that would never love him in return. Eh hem #godsplan
(No one around him noticed he wasn't there before because, um magic).
But she fell in love as well.
Don't believe me??? 😏
Hints in the book:
1) Celine referred to him as "so beautiful he was unreal" had to "touch him to make sure he was right in front of her" Always "knew what exactly to say" looked "at the stars in the sky like he was longing to be there (aka heaven)"
2) like no one ever really saw him with Mia. Ever. Celine and Mia were extremely close and told each other everything, but Mia never mentioned Jimin. I left it open ended like that in case I wanted to write her a scene where she was the only person who could see him. She knew he was supernatural, and THATS why they had their last conversation about death.
3) Celine survived because Mia told Jimin to save her instead. In that little conversation they had, Mia said told Jimin to "promise to protect" her sister at all costs. Jimin knew he was her guardian, but was dwindling in reason to live. Mia was sort of a lost soul, and Celine still had something to live more.
4) I made several comparisons/and allegories to Jimin being an angel the entire time. I mentioned the word "sin" a lot. All the silk and the white imagery. The juxtaposition between his light sheets, and Jeongguks dark ones.
Chapter 1 is called descent: if you aren't familiar with Christian religion (even though I'm not even that religious) this is the story of Satan revolting against god and the angels that neither chose evil nor god were cast to earth and stripped of their wings as punishment. AKA Jimin's punishment for saving the wrong soul and going against orders.
This scene is where Jimin fulfills his punishment. He becomes of fully fallen angel, when he meets Celine for the first time. And that's why in other chapters, he compares falling for her as "his descent from heaven."
Romantic, but I feel like it would have been so out of place, yanno? I just wanted to let you guys know there was an alternate version.
But ultimately, I decided I didn't want any type of fantasy in this book. I wanted it to be real and raw as possible, unlike my other stories. This is the ending, that I truly intended and wanted everyone to read.
And I just want to say thank you for everything. Anyone who has read this. I'm amazed at the amount of feedback, comments, and reads I've gotten. Though it may seem like a small amount, this is the fastest any of my stories had ever grown in such a short amount of time.
I started this story in August, after thinking of the lines-
"You bought me for a night, You don't own me."
"Then why did you scream my name like I was yours?"
And the story grew from that little exchange. It popped into my mind out of nowhere, but I'm glad it did.
And I figured since I literally have "suga daddy" in my username, I couldn't be a poser and not write a story about one.
I started writing it the day before college started. It was my first year, and I was nervous as fuck. The only thing that calmed me down was writing the first chapter. And still continued to calm me down, during the entire school year.
I wanted Jimin as the main character because (cough, bias cough) because he has that lovable exterior. It makes him hard to hate, no matter how much wrong he might do. Throughout writing this entire story, no one said one bad comment about Jimin.
Even though he was the one to create the agreement between them. Even though Celine was the one who wanted to end it, several times.
It's amazing really, how we let our attraction and affection for people create a bias. If Jimin wasn't as handsome, or was less unrealistically angelic, would everyone be rooting for him?
Better yet, would people be rooting for him if he was a woman as well? All the anger was directed at Celine.
Yes Celine was a sugar baby. But should we really use the word whore to describe her? She was left on the streets. Working at McDonalds when you don't even have a high school diploma WONT make you enough money.
She was brave.
She was strong.
She was driven.
The only thing she did wrong was not disclose her job to her partner. That violates their relationship, and is disrespectful. But that still doesn't give anyone the right to use a derogatory term created to solely hurt women.
Slut/whore any of those words, I really hoped I made you evaluate how you use them.
Just because someone likes sex, doesn't make them a slut. Sleeping around, doesn't make someone a slut as long as they are making it clear that they like casual sex. And aren't hurting anyone else in the process.
Because I didn't see one comment calling Jimin one. Jimin, the one who used girls before her.
Why is he not considered a slut?
And don't worry, I ask myself the same question. Did I write in a way that blamed her the entire time? Did I make his past harsh enough to make people not care?
Or did I accidentally write the story in a way my conditioned brain told me too? Its interesting, the way our environment effects even fictional worlds.
Continuing on...
Celine, was born from me. No, I'm not saying I'm so attractive that people often question my abilities. 😂😂
But her love for art, her inability to express emotions, and her insecurities come from a place I am familiar with. You never realize how much you put your entire being into a story, until after it is finished. She became a character that people either strongly connected with, or hated.
And either way it was good.
I wrote this story about things that are important to me.
Honesty, Loyalty, and Judgement.
And I wanted to see if I could sway people's opinions on the subjects listed below.
Is there a good time to lie? Is cheating ever justified? Why do we judge, when we ourselves are not perfect?
So, I'd like to ask, did this book change your perspectives? Did it make you question yourself at all?
Thank you so much 💓💓💓
I truly love every single person that has read this. Really. With my whole tiny and cold heart. 😭😭😭💙💙💙
With every fiber of my being, I'm grateful for the support I've received.
And I hope, you can see the love I put into every line. Every comma. Every character.
This isn't just a book to me. I love it. I love Celine. I love Jimin. I even love Jeongguk (In the sense his character has alerted people to their own abusive partners).
I was in it for almost a year. I showed my thoughts/fears about relationships and people and it's the most vulnerable thing I've ever done.
It's meant to be there, for when you want to escape, yet still feel real.
So when you're feeling alone, lost, sad, or happy....
You can open this app, and dive into the lives of Celine, Jimin, Jin, Taehyung, Yoongi, Namjoon, Hoseok, and beginning of book Jeongguk lol. Who became a family, and my place of comfort. Hopefully yours too.
