25-Honey Whiskey

"Honey whisky conversations never running dry
Lovers spill right out your mouth and never tell me lies
Come on closer, come on to me, put your skin on my own
And we can smoke a bowl if you want to, we can fade off in the night"
Honey Whiskey-Satica

"This is great Celine! Just marvelous! I'm going to have to recommend you to every person I know. Is that okay with you?" Exclaimed a joyous voice from the other side of the call.

Celine clasped a hand over her mouth, trying hard not to screech over the business call. She took a deep breath, trying to deepen her voice to sound more professional.

"It's more than okay with me, Mr. Smithe. Tell away!"

The older man laughed, audibly enjoying the young girl. She was more than pleased that he liked her painting. It turned into a modern rendition of the summer. Lips, the sun, and lemons all making an appearance in the art work. He said it was perfect for his beach house that he was currently residing in. In which he granted her 5,000 in cash for her hard work.

When she received the money earlier, she had started crying. For the first time, she had gotten paid for her talent. Not for her appearance or body. The excited girl needed people to celebrate with, so she went to Hoseok's. The man let her know that some of them were hanging out, and she was welcome to come over. Mr. Smithe called her as she arrived.

"Aren't you simply the best? You just wait. You'll be the best known artist in Europe and Asia."

A chill ran up the girl's spine, as she bit her lip. The conviction behind his voice was present. If he put in a good word for her, everyone within the country would be asking for work from her.

There was more to come.

"I could only hope so."

Redemption was sweet on her lips. Fading in and out in front of her eyes like a foggy morning.

"You don't have to hope. I'll make sure of it. Have a lovely day Miss Kim."

"You as well!"

The girl ended the call, schreeching as she did.

Hoseok, and Yoongi whirled around to look at her. Taehyung kept his head bowed down, playing with his fingers. They looked like three golden cherubs. Cotton shirts ruffled in the soft wind. Hair parted to perfection. Standing clear against the bright blue day, the heat reaching only 80 degrees. Framed by white columns that adorned the house, opening up to a huge backyard with a wide pool. Celine was ready to remove her soft dress, and dive into its crystalline depths.

"Did you guys hear that?!" She yelled, smiling as wide as her mouth would allow.

Hoseok had taken a sip of water, sitting right next to her at his glass patio table. Though the man couldn't answer, he clapped his hands wildly.

"Well, you did have your phone on speaker." Yoongi deadpanned, sitting directly across from her. His face remained blank, but his lazy cat-like eyes were smiling.

"Thanks Yoongi. But I think you know what I meant."

"Yeah, it's great." He finally admitted, reaching across the table to ruffle her mahogony hair. Celine jokingly pushed his hand away, making him smile with all gums.

"Dinner is going to be ready soon, guys. I've made it myself." Said Namjoon, startling the pair. His head peeked out from the sliding door, purple hair and all. He looked like an iris blooming, dimpled smile and white teeth on display.

Celine chuckled, thinking of how cute the tall man was. He looked so excited about cooking. The brunette never thought the clumsy man was the type.

"Along with my butler." Added Jin, who popped up beside his partner.

Namjoon placed a hand over his chest, ignoring the loud laughs that were coming from Hoseok. It was now that she realized the man was wearing a "kiss the cook" apron.

"Whatever, it's coming from the heart." The purple haired man replied, sticking out his bottom jaw.

Jin did not look so impressed, shaking his head slightly to the side. A mocking expression tainting his plump lips.

"You don't even know how to chop and onion."

Hoseok fell into Celine, almost knocking over the tea she held in her hands. Yoongi let out a huge breath, shaking his head at the fighting couple. The tall man just shrugged his shoulders, accepting the roast.

"You're not wrong."

Jin rolled his eyes, sharing a knowing look with his three other friends. He pulled Namjoon away from the door, closing it behind them. They all could see Jin pat the man's butt with a spatula as they walked back to the kitchen.

"They're a couple that makes me believe in true love." The orange haired man said, sighing as he leaned onto the table. His mouth turned into a triangle as he stared off into the blinding blue distance.

Celine followed after him, letting her head rest on her arms that were crossed on the table. Staring into the drifting nothingness before her.

Thinking about love and all the trouble it had caused her.

Happy that Jin and Namjoon's love was pure and simple.

Though rather than facing personal struggles, they had to deal with society judging them. It bothered her so much that people still judged others for who they loved. It was sad that some people couldn't bare to see the beauty between a man and another, or a woman with a woman. They deserved the same respect and freedom as anyone else.

Love truly is love.

And no one can change that.

"Agreed. Have you found anyone you like yet Hoseok?" The girl asked, turning to the side to look at him.

The man sighed again, louder this time. A soft pink tinting the man's cheeks. The girl always admired his pretty cheekbones, no highlighted by the peony pigment.

"Sadly, no. I dated a girl a while ago, but it didn't work out. There is a new girl in my studio though, that I think is really cute. She's a ballerina."

"You should go for it buddy." Celine encouraged, wanting the same happiness for him as everyone else. She couldn't wait to see who the bright man would end up with. Whoever that person was, they were lucky.

"I don't know, she's too pretty for me." Hoseok said, shaking his head.

The small girl frowned, placing a hand on his shoulder.

"You know that's not true. You're handsome as hell! And be confident, people like that."

"Thanks Celine." He said, smiling up at her. Again, it was amazing to see just how many perfect people didn't like themselves. How rare it was to find a truly confident person. How much she wanted to convince Hoseok of how great of a person he was, inside and out.

"You know a couple that makes me not believe in love?" Said the blonde in front of them, finally interrupting their conversation. He lifted his head like a lion waking up from a nap. The already sleepy man grew more lethargic from the blazing heat.

"Who?" Celine asked with a smirk, completely prepared for a sardonic reply. It was her favorite thing about the small man.

He smirked back, pink lips curled as his eyes shined with mischief.

"You and Jeongguk."

Celine was silent, eyes wide at his quip. The man who'd become her close friend stared daringly back at her. It was sudden fear that had swept through her. But the more she kept eye contact with him, the more she saw his true meaning. It seems like Yoongi wasn't too fond of her boyfriend either, from the pleased look on his face.

Making her wonder who exactly was aware of her and Jimin's "secret" when she had only told Jin.

"Yoongi! What the hell?" Said Hoseok from beside her, loud enough to make Taehyung finallt pay attention to his friends. He had been so quiet this whole time, Celine had almost forgotten he was there. Giving Yoongi a dark glare from his words.

The blonde man threw his hands up in surrender, though it was obvious he wasn't too apologetic. He wasn't the type to say things without thinking through it first.

"I'm just kidding. Don't worry about it."

Celine laughed, trying to calm down Hoseok, who had turned slightly pale.

"Okay, you made me nervous there for a second." She said, staring more intensely at the male. Knowing she had to play the part of being a little offended. The shock she had felt at his words helped play into it. It was possible it was just a joke.

"Sorry." The raspy voiced man replied, laughing at the whole irony of the situation.

The girl finally relaxed back into her seat, crossing her arms. It was quiet for a little bit. She looked around lazily, just enjoying the weather until she caught coffee brown eyes staring intensely at her. Taehyung, who had barely said a word, looked like he had a million things to tell her.

"Tae, are you alright?"

The brown haired man coughed slightly, his eyes flicking to the table. He opened his mouth, but then seemed to change his mind as he looked directly in her eyes.

"No actually. Can we talk for a minute?" He said, words almost strained.

The girl was immediately worried at the clipped tone he spoke with. The man had never been less then happy in everyone's presence.

"Of course."

They walked inside, ignoring the stares of Yoongi and Hoseok. Taehyung kept walking further past her, brining them into the blue drawing room of Hoseok's house. Celine was surprised to see the painting of the blue flower was still placed in the center of the room.

It was quiet, as she stood next to the easel. Reminiscing in the last time she had been here. Where Jimin and her made that fateful decision to be in a sugar daddy and baby relationship. It was technically where it had all really started.

"You know, you're the luckiest girl in the world. At least, I think you are." Taehyung's deep voice boomed from across the room, knocking into her train of thought. He stood with a slight smile on his face, hands in his pockets.

Demeanor slightly more pleasant then before, which confused Celine. His words adding more confusion as to why exactly he wanted to talk to her alone.

"Really? Why is that?" She asked, petite voice echoing around the large room. It was the first time she'd ever been nervous in his presence. And she didn't even understand why.

"Well, a while ago, I was introduced into this friend group. You know how right?"

"Yeah, Jimin told me."

His expression as the name passed between her lips. Taehyung walked closer to where she was, finally landing in front of the blue flower painting. Eyes tracing along the petals and the leaves, as the light from the window flashed in his eyes.

The sandy haired man's profile was truly astounding. The long eye lashes, the straight nose, the sharply curved lips and jaw. There were very few people as visibly perfect as Taehyung. It was a sight to behold.

"I got close with everyone. Especially Jimin and Yoongi. But something unexpected happened. I developed a huge crush on Jeon Jeongguk. The dark haired, muscle man. The guy who seemed so confident he could take on the entire world. The charming, and funny man who always had a smile on his face."

The shock was immediate as the man spoke. He gazed down at the smaller girl, finally looking away from the flower. She couldn't tell how he wanted her to react. Celine had know clue that the photographer liked men, she never assumed. But it was more shocking that the man had admitted to having feelings for one of his best friends.

"You like Jeongguk?" The girl asked, worlds spilling out without any grace. It was curiosity that spurred her reaction, not jealousy.

The man shook his head, brown hair moving along his tan skin.

"Liked. He never really seemed interested, considering he's straight and only saw me as a friend. For years it went on, with my feelings unrequited. I knew he wasn't going to magically fall in love with me. But I never truly let go, until he told us that he met the love of his life. And that was you."

"Well I'm honored-" She started, not exactly sure what to say.

Taehyung held up a hand, cutting her off. She'd never seen an expression of anger across his face. And now she wished she hadn't. It was genuinely frightening, with his fierce eyes and hard set to his mouth. The girl backed away a little, gulping as she did so.

"Cut the bullshit Celine. You aren't fooling anyone. Especially not me."

"Tae-"

"Don't Taehyung me. Stop acting confused. You know exactly what I'm talking about." The man responded, voice harsh as he stared at the wilting girl.

Celine visibly sunk into herself, a pain erupting in her chest. From the disgusted look in the man's eyes, she knew what he was referring to. And knew that he wasn't exactly too happy with her because of it. The thought of losing him as a friend was prevalent.

"Who told you?" The girl asked, tears starting to sprout in her eyes.

He shook his head, smiling without amusement.

"That doesn't matter. The point is I know. And I'm pissed that no one has called your ass out."

The way he said it caused her to gasp. It was too much all at once. Finding out that he as well knows, and that he more than likely hates her for it. The girl recoiled, voice coming out in a breathless whine.

"You don't have to be so harsh. I'm more harsh to myself every day over it."

"And why is that? Because everyone else fucking babies you? Acting like this affair is some sort of alternative love story. Someone needs to tell you that this is completely fucked up."

I am fucked up. I'm sick. This whole situation is sick.

His words were true. To the point of absolute embarrassment. Her face was burning as he started to scold her, pointing a long finger in her face. Feeling the disappointment roll off of him in waves.

But if he knows everything, if everyone knows everything...

Why did they all still want to be around Jeongguk?

The man who had put his hands on her, shamed her in front of everyone, and called her derogatory names?

But she kept her mouth shut, not wanting to manipulate or derail the situation.

So she stayed quiet. Quiet and docile, how every man liked her.

"I already know what I'm doing is wrong." She said, voice full of shame. The girl wanted to burn away, like a match that had caught fire, wanting to fall away from the truth that continued to haunt her. To run away from Taehyung's increasingly heated gaze.

"Apparently not wrong enough to stop. I know Jeongguk can be an asshole. But he doesn't deserve this. No one does. When he finds out, how do you think he'll feel?" The tan man asked, practically yelling at this point. Her body shook like a decayed leaf, lucky that they were far enough away from everyone so they could not be heard.

But she heard Taehyung, loud and clear.

"He won't find out. It would be dealt with before. Please, you have to understand I never meant for this to happen. Any of it! It all happened so fast, and I barely knew I was in deep before it was too late. God this is all one big mistake that keeps fucking me and everyone else over."

"You're being fucked over? Or just fucked? Because as of right now you're getting the better deal. Two good looking boyfriends who love and cherish you? Seems like you're comfortable with it."

Your words mean a lot to me.

Don't cry.

Say something.

"This situation has never been that simple. Don't insult me to say it is. What is an easy decision to you is a lifetime of survival for me."

He let out a breathless laugh, throwing his head back. Anxiety filling Celine as he stared with complete malice. Unknowing of how the next thing he would say would completely tear her apart inside.

"It seems pretty easy to me. Get affection and stability from Jeongguk, get money and status from Jimin. It's perfect! And yet everyone defends you! Jin, Yoongi, Hoseok, and Jimin! All of them, pretending like you're a fucking saint."

It made her fucking sick. How could she explain it wasn't what she was doing. Would he believe her? Would he even care when he was so enraged?

"I don't deserve to be treated like a saint. I don't want to be."

Celine truly didn't know how to answer. She thanked her lucky stars that they didn't hate her everyday. That they all refused to recognize how terrible she was.

"And what about Jimin? Who've you've used from the beginning. What about him? You have no fucking clue how much this whole situation is torturing him. Do you even care!?" He yelled, pounding his fist on the coffee table beside them. The girl stood, jaw clenched and hands held in fists.

This, is what set Celine off.

Immediatley, her quiet demeanor fell apart. The floodgates opened. Her angry and distressed scream filling the room. She couldn't stand the man thinking this way, misunderstanding everything. Unable to hold back from the confession that had been burning in her mouth.

She would never let him question the validity of what she felt for Park Jimin. It was the only thing she was sure of in this world.

"You will not go there with me. That is enough. I love Jimin. I fucking love him, Tae. I love him so much that I wish he'd never met me. Because the thought of him being hurt for me, kills me inside every fucking day. I ruined him. I'm hurting him. I'm ruining his relationship with his best friend and I don't even know if that is so wrong anymore, considering the way Jimin is treated by him." Her voice was raw with emotion as she spoke the words.

Filled with hatred that she didn't know she had anymore. Bitterness that was clear in the way she was protective of Jimin more than herself.

It was the first time she had said it out loud to another person besides Jin. Her whole body felt warm, anxious, and relieved all at the same time. So fucking alive, at the the confessions he had just made to one of his best friends. The shock of it had basically stopped her tears from falling. Her barely even able to comprehend what she had said as well. Taehyung looked dubious for a second, regretful as the girl shook before him. But he didn't want to stop. He wasn't sure if she was trying to fool him like everyone else.

"If you really loved him, why are you still with another man? And why are you letting Jeongguk still fall for you more everyday? Do you get something out of it?" It came out softer than everything else he said, though there was still an edge to it.

But Celine was tired of lying. Tired of playing pretend. Tired of letting others think of her in a certain way without knowing the full truth.

"Stop acting like you know everything Tae! Jeongguk doesn't love me okay! He fucking loves my body. He's made that very clear from the way he fucking degrades me and fucks me up mentally. I'm so exhausted, and my mind is falling apart and no matter how hard I try to weave the thread of my choices to sew my life together the fabric is still breaking apart. He's slowly been tearing down the walls he built up for me, the ones he used to keep me in a cage when he found me. I was never looking for a boyfriend Taehyung, I was looking for a home. A mother, a father, family. He knew that and he took advantage of me when I was at my lowest and I see it now, god, do I feel the consequences of it everyday! Jimin and I came together at the wrong place and time. I'm not proud of it, but he became my solace. I know, I know that fighting fire with fire never works. It's wrong, it's so fucking wrong but I just can't seem to stop myself."

(A/N: when she's mentioned countless times at this point that it's fucked up that she cheated...I really don't understand the comments. If your first knee jerk reaction is to mention how bad it is that she cheated EVERY SINGLE TIME it's talked about that Jeongguk literally abused/abuses her...I'm sorry but it tells me right then and there it's not about "morals" it's about the fact you don't like that it's a fictional version of JK being cheated on. You're using the cheating as an excuse for why it's okay to be abused.

Real timeline of events.

Jk~> grooms Celine. She starts dating him. Love-bombing from him. She has to start paying rent at his place. Works as sugar baby (no sexual contact). Still abusing her mentally. She sleeps with jimin for money. His abuse turns almost physical and he starts to sexually abuse her too.

"There is no excuse for cheating" and yet the same people are not commenting "there is no excuse for abuse" )

It was silent, as his pretty brown eyes widened. He fell back away from her, his whole body relaxing from its tense position. The heat of the room died down, leaving them in a pale gray atmosphere.

If he knew he wouldn't have said anything.

If he knew, is heart wouldn't have been crushed to learn that about him.

"Jeongguk." Taehyung's voice was a broken whisper, wincing slightly.

Celine felt even worse, as the man before her faded like a burnt out flame. From the way that he spoke the other man's name, the girl could tell the feelings hadn't fully dissipated. He shook his head, slowly from side to side. As if he couldn't bare to believe anything she had said about the dark haired man.

"Jesus Christ, I didn't know. D-does Jeongguk hurt you? I mean like does he touch you?" He asked quietly, all anger lost at this point.

Celine was still panicked, unable to handle what had transpired. How both of their emotions had reached a scary boiling point.

She wanted to be grateful, that Taehyung had seemed to realize she wasn't a bad person. But she hated the fact she had told another person about Jeongguk. Notified another close friend that maybe he wasn't the person he pretended to be.

"No. But I don't know what he'll be capable of if I tell him the truth."

She wasn't sure why she lied to protect him still. More afraid they would all send her away and keep the monster he had revealed himself to be, she supposed.

Or that gratitude she initially felt was like an infection within her, refusing to be treated by reality.

Taehyung looked at the girl, really looked at her. Saw past the pretty exterior and smile that had graced her lips for most of the time he had seen her.

She was pale. Increasingly more bony. Eyes more dull, and dark circle had made their way around her eyes.

She wasn't okay.

She wasn't comfortable with the way she was living.

She was suffering.

"Okay, alright. We can get through this." He said, coming forward and grabbing her hands in his. He wanted to ease her nerves that had sprouted. The girl knew it was his way without saying sorry.

But it was like Taehyung was aware of her inner turmoil. She didn't want him to be sorry. She knew that deep down, she deserved every hurtful word he had spouted at her.

"I don't know if I can."

"Yes you can."

"But I don't know how to do it without screwing over everyone else."

It was a valid point, that Taehyung wasn't fully aware how to solve himself. He sighed, brushing away some hair that had fallen into her eyes. She looked up at him, lips still slightly quivering.

"I don't know Celine. But you need to fix this or else I'll have to step in."

"Taehyung."

"I'm not kidding."

His face was stony again, despite the sympathy he held for her. Other feelings were complicating how he felt about this. But he knew he needed to help Celine.

"I will. Just please give me time." The brunette said, nodding her head. She was looking at him, with conviction.

Taehyung sighed again, his feline eyes taking in her form sadly. He wanted to help, so badly. Tough love was the only way at this point.

"I love you Celine, I do. But you've had enough. Whatever happens next I'll do my best to protect you. Get your funds, pack your stuff. And be ready."

She nodded her head again, wiping away a few more stray tears. They hugged briefly, letting her know everything was okay between the two. He started to walk away from her, but she stopped him, placing a hand on his forearm.

"Just one more thing."

He turned expectantly to her.

"Yes?"

"Please don't tell him." Celine said, the cold girl sounding more vulnerable than ever. Request falling out between two untainted and swollen red lips. Eyes rimmed with a deep sadness only an old soul could understand.

Taehyung gave her a small smile, eyes squinting a bit at the edges. It was a full moment between them. One of complete understanding and trust.

"I won't"

And then he walked out of the room, leaving Celine to her own vices.

She didn't say a name, but they both knew she wasn't talking about Jeongguk.

********

The conversation between her and Taehyung leaving her shaking. She quickly left Hoseok's, running out into the warm air. She needed to get away from that place. She was suffocated from guilt.

From having to own up to the fact she couldn't hide behind a secret forever.

If Jin knew, then he must have told Namjoon. If Taehyung knew, he could tell the other boys. It was only a matter of time; Jeongguk would soon find out as well. It was an awful thought. One that terrified her enough to cause an empty ache in her bones.

Jimin and Celine. Even just the names placed beside each-other in her brain sounded like a beautiful song. The sigh you take when you fall into bed. The sound of a waterfall crashing into a deep river. Just perfection and bliss.

She knows it couldn't stay this way forever.

It wasn't a matter of chose. She had already chosen Jimin, long ago.

She also knew that if Jimin had to choose between her and Jeongguk, she'd lose everytime.

Instead of going back to her apartment, where she morally belonged, her heart took her to another place. Leading her right back to the sinful person that had turned her world upside down. The one who was the heart of her problems, but the solution to all of them as well.

It was when she arrived at Park Jimin's door, that she had realized where she was. It had subconsciously happened. Like breathing, or taking a drink of water. Like instinct, she had showed up on the wrong man's doorstep. Maybe it was the tears that swam in her eyes, that made her unable to focus on where she had been going.

The girl latched onto the door knob, turning it. Knowing very well that it would be open, because of the countless times she had visited. She walked around haphazardly, trying to catch a glimpse of the silver haired man. She checked his bedroom, the kitchen, and the living room and found no luck.

"Jimin?" She said eventually, calling out into the air. She already felt the sad desperation in her own voice.

"Yo." A voice called out, making her head to the left. The brunette was alerted to the fact Jimin's balcony doors were open, letting in the cool night air.

"There you are." She said, walking out to see him.

Relief filled her body as she looked upon the familiar boy. He gazed up at her, sculpted face highlighted by the moonlight as he sat upon his usual yellow blanket. Jimin was as perfect as he always was. Silver hair glinting brightly in the light, looking like a star and contrasting with the navy blue sky. A warm smile on his face, eyes squinted up into curves. Lips plumped like a pink bow atop his smooth skin. Dressed in some shorts and a simple t-shirt. It was the most dressed down she'd ever seen him, but he'd never looked so painfully beautiful to her before.

There was no way to describe the feeling she got while looking at him. It was like listening to a favorite piano piece, one that makes your heart flutter and memories race to the surface of your mind. Seeing him was like that, and having the same melody play over and over again

He's my home.

"I'm here. Or am I?" The man asked, heart breaking voice coming out slightly deeper than usual.

Celine looked closer. Caught the lazy way his eyes fluttered. Disoriented body movements, and slower speech. Saw the blunt lit in his hand.

"Are you high?" It wasn't a real question. She already knew the answer, and was amused by it.

He cutely rolled his eyes, fluttering his wildly messy hair, that always managed to make Celine sigh with affection.

"Yeah? And why aren't you."

"Well I just got here. I guess I have to catch up then?"

"Seems like it."

She settled into the comfortable feeling. The beautiful sound of his voice. The electricity that seemed to surround in the air whenever they were together. She knew this was everything she wanted and needed.

Why am I holding back?

"God, I'm glad I'm here. Today has been awful." She said, now standing directly above him. Partly blocking out the moon that had graced upon the beautiful boy's face.

"I knew you'd come." Jimin said quietly, glancing down at his feet. Starting to laugh at what he said, though it wasn't particularly funny.

"Oh really?" Celine asked, in a joking manner. Expecting him to be playful back.

In turn, she received a sad look. Glazed and under the influence eyes looking at her as if she were a thousand miles away.

"Yeah, whenever you need something you come here."

The short girl shook it off, sitting down next to the man. Breath catching in her throat as she got closer to his dizzying effect. She decided to brush him off, knowing that everything got a little deep when high. Even if it wasn't meant in that way.

"Jesus. You make it sound so terrible."

"Maybe it is terrible."

The boy was looking away from her now. Almond eyes narrowed, and lips fully pouted.

"I come over when I want to see you Jimin." Celine said seriously, nudging him. She couldn't take another one of her friends being upset with her today. But for some reason, Jimin wouldn't let the topic go.

"And why do you want to see me?"

"I enjoy your company, a lot. You're a person I can easily talk to and confide in. You understand me on a deeper level. There's a lot of reasons why I go out of my way to see you."

"Really? It doesn't seem that way."

She hated that he felt that way. That he looked so disappointed by the prospect. The girl had meant for him to think she doesn't care. But now that he was saying it out loud, she has regretted ever making him feel that way.

I love you.

I love you.

I love you.

I love you.

"Jimin." Her voice, only fleeting like the fireflies that lit up the area where they were sitting.

"Hmm?" He asked, eyes glassy as he peered at her face.

"I'm sorry."

"For what?" The man asked, eyes widening. As if he couldn't believe the words that had come from the small girl. He leaned forward, waiting for more.

Celine faltered under his intense gaze, unsure of exactly what he wanted to hear. There was so much to say.

"For everything."

He smiled slightly, lips curling up around white teeth. The little lines that often appeared on his cheeks were prominent in the shadows.

"That's a pretty broad statement. I'm too stoned to understand. You'll have to be more specific." He said, sarcastic even after smoking a ton of weed.

But the girl wasn't in the mood for joking. She took this as her chance to share a bit of truth. Knowing that Jimin wouldn't comprehend as much, and maybe wouldn't remember everything tomorrow.

It would be like poking a pun into a balloon, and hoping it wouldn't burst.

"I feel like I'm hurting you. And I don't know how or why. Because all of this, is just a game to you right? Because you couldn't possibly have real feelings for me? You wouldn't let it get that far, since Jeongguk is your best friend. How could you even have feelings for a selfish person like me? Who fucking pities herself. See? It's impossible."

It was silent, as she stared at him. Breathing up and down slowly, while she confessed her deeper fears. She waited for him to call her crazy, to tell her to go away. To tell her that he didn't care enough about her to feel deeply for her.

Because why would he?

But instead, she got an unexpected reaction. And a truly unexpected answer. The boy who was always concerned with her feelings, always watching out for her simply avoided the question completely.

"Not to be a jerk, but you're really killing the vibe right now."

She was a bit surprised to say the least. Jimin was always one for talking things out, and not avoiding him. But the man looked blank, unreadable.

"You didn't answer me." She said, voice shaking with nerves.

He rolled his dark eyes, letting his head drop back. His veiny neck catching Celine's gaze.

"Are you even asking a question?" He countered back, alarmingly aware in that moment. Any ounce of dizziness or confusion gone at this point.

Celine pouted, realizing that he indeed was right. She was assuming things, and his words would do little to console her. And either way, no matter what he said, she would be upset and probably leave.

"No."

"And would the way you act or think, change after I answer you?"

The girl shook her head, long hair tickling her thighs. His heated stare caused her cheeks to warm up. Him being this direct was a new side to him she had yet to see.

"No."

"Then I'm not going to say anything. Especially when we both aren't sober. Just relax."

"But Jimin-"

He placed a finger on her lips, interrupting her. She looked down, trying to calm herself despite their skin touching. His eyes were wide, shiny from the moonlight as he got closer to her, letting his finger drop to his lap.

"Celine. Just calm down. Sometimes I'm tired of this you know? Of you. Of everyone. Of feelings. Of having to constantly hash things out. Of life. So can you please just sit with me for once and just forget?

The girl tried not to be too offended by his words. She understood he hadn't exactly meant it in that way. Like Celine, he too was overwhelmed by just about everything at this point. There was a time and place to talk about it, and this wasn't it.

For tonight, they would just live.

"Okay. For you, I can do that." She said, sending him an easy smile. He reciprocated, patting the blanket beside him. Celine was already close, and knew that if she were to get closer, it might not be good for either of them.

"Good, now come here."

"Alright, can you just-"

Jimin's mouth was on hers, silencing her words with an urgent kiss. His lips tasted like a mixture of weed and whiskey. On anyone else, it would have been unappealing. But on Jimin, who was slightly shiny from the summer night, who breathed slowly, who's smile was heaven; still tasted like paradise to her.

Celine pulled away, only leaving them a breath apart. His eyes were glassy and red as he looked upon her face. Fluttering with their heaviness, she wondered if he believed that she was only a dream.

"You talk too much. Now sit down and smoke with me."

He turned to the side, rolling up a blunt for her. It allowed her to smile openly, fingers tracing across her lips where he had kissed her.

He turned back around, and she tried to look natural. The silver haired man handed her the blunt, letting her set it in her mouth. Once it was secured, he flicked the lighter, and waited for the end to caught on fire before he pulled away. He liked the way the flame danced in her golden eyes, so he purposely took a longer time to light it.

After a couple hits, she was gone. The world had become 3-D, and everything was a little bit better. Her body felt lifted as she took in the breeze on her skin. The freshness of Jimin's cologne and her perfume mixing together. The tangible stars that sat so far away.

The boy, who's profile brought her peace and a sense of calm. That made her heart race, despite the overwhelming serenity that had hit her. They had migrated closer together, their thighs brushing. Hands almost locked on top of one another. Inhibitions forgotten as the high hit them.

"Jimin, can you play a pretty song again?" The spaced out girl asked, knowing that he was blessed with great ears. He always picked the best songs to vibe out to.

"Of course."

He looked at his phone, quickly clicking on a song. The light and airy notes lilted from the speaker to Celine's ears. Causing a warm smile to grow on her face the more she listened to the deep, and slow song. The voice was hauntingly beautiful, and reminded her of everything she wanted to forget.

"I wish life was easy."

"I wish it was too."

Celine looked down, her hands seeming to double before her. She felt cushioned, by the heat that was coming from Jimin. From the care that was always genuine in his voice.

"I've been missing my parents a lot lately. I don't even know why. I guess two years has really caught up to me."

"What do you miss about them?" The man asked, his hand absentmindedly playing with the hair that fell down her back.

Celine smiled, reminiscing in the times where she was always happy. When her parents used to love her.

"My mom made the best pancakes. I'm a heavy sleeper, and I hate getting up in the morning. The only way she'd actually get me up so I could get ready for school, was to make them. I also miss hugging my mom. She was so soft, and comfortable. She'd always brush my hair back, when I was crying or stressed. Even at the age of 16, my mother and I never fought. Not once. She was such a a sensitive and caring person I'd never expect that-"

"That she wouldn't be in your life?"

"That she'd abandon me. That she would call me a murderous bitch. That she would ignore every call and text I'd send her. That she wouldn't ever again hold me in her arms, or make me buttermilk pancakes."

The girl's mood had dropped, and she felt sad again. Her heart was bursting with unsaid thoughts. It was unbearable, how much she wished she could change the past.

But it was impossible.

And so she had to deal with the consequences.

Jimin lifted her chin, forcing her to keep eye contact. She felt her breath becoming heavier, the more she stared into his daintily shaped eyes.

"There's always hope. Celine. Maybe one day she'll come to her senses, and see the mistake that she made. Letting such an amazing daughter go."

It was there for a moment, the feeling of hope. Jimin had instilled it into her, with his kind eyes and caring smile.

But Celine made sure never to set the bar too high. Or else she would constantly be disappointed by the outcomes around her.

"You don't know how much I want to believe that."

He reached forward, using the pad of his thumb to wipe the moisture from her eyes. She hadn't even known she was crying until he had wiped the sadness away from her.

The man's pink lips turned down slightly, saddened by her expression of despair.

"I hate seeing you cry. It's like watching a puppy get kicked. The whimpering, and the pouty bottom lip."

The girl shook her head, willing the tears to go away. She wanted to spend quality time with the boy she hadn't seen since earlier in the week.

"I'm sorry, let's talk about something else. Anything. Everything."

"Okay." He answered back, bopping the end of her nose with his index finger.

She ignored the cute gesture, scrunching up her nose at the man.

"This song is beautiful." She commented, complimenting his choice.

"I know. Doesn't it remind you of a golden yellow?" He asked excitedly, eyes lighting up at the inquiry. The same passion that he had talking about art, becoming present as he talked about music.

The girl nodded her head, admiring the way he talked about things in general. It was so refreshing, to see someone actually be intrigued by something when it was cooler not to care.

"Yeah, I can see that. Are you one of those people that can actually see colors and patterns when they listen to music?"

"No, but I get a certain feeling. I can close my eyes and imagine where the song is. Like, if a song has a sad jazzy tune, I imagine New York City in the rain. If I hear a sweet melody, it feels pink and fluffy, like clouds. And this song feels like a starry night, with drizzling honey and cold alcohol."

The girl let out a giggle, falling in love with him a little bit more. He looked down at her, raising his eyebrows at her sudden and unexpected laughter.

"God you sound like such a hipster."

"Shut up. You're just jealous that I'm an intellectual." He said, lifting his chin at her.

The girl rolled her eyes at his bratty behavior. Secretly swooning at just how cute the 21 year old could be sometimes. It was much harder to hide while hide though. She had prevented herself from kissing his pouting lips as many times as there were stars in the sky.

"Yeah, sure. Whatever floats your boat. But I feel that way about music too. My favorite songs are blue." She responded back seriously.

Jimin looked down at her, voice raising cutely.

"It's funny, that we both like the color blue."

"Maybe it's fate." Celine responded, knowing that he was more than likely going to say that.

He nodded his head, taking in her response. The man tilted his head to the side, looking further off in the distance.

"Maybe it's because we are both sad."

Her blood ran cold.

She didn't like to think about that.

The girl knew she was sad.

But why was Jimin?

"You're sad Jimin?" She asked, turning to face him completely. He never looked away from her, even as she placed both hands onto his own.

"Yes Celine. I'm human too. Don't ask about what though, I don't think I'm ready to say."

She could see the reluctance in his voice. The way he was open and closed all at once. The man was not willing to speak. And it worried the fuck out of her.

She knew of his dark past. The one of self hatred and disorders. The girl wouldn't allow him to fall back into the habit.

"Well if you need anything, I'm here for you."

"I know you are."

After a couple seconds of silence, and Celine worrying, the boy broke it. She decided to let it go in the meantime, meaning to bring up what he had said tomorrow when he was more coherent.

"What's your favorite season?" Asked Jimin, pretending like everything from before hadn't happened.

"Winter." The brunette answered, going along with it.

The man narrowed his eyes, looking genuinely surprise by her answer.

"Why is that?"

The girl smiled, thinking of snow and freezing weather. It was like living in a snow globe, things more perfect and covered when it was winter. It was easier to hide imperfection during that time of year.

"Because it's cold. Every other season gets more love and devotion. I like the way ice covers branches, and becomes its own little crown jewelry. But when you strip Winter of the accessories, all it is death and decay." The 18 year old stated. She never realized just how depressing of a reason it was until she said it out loud.

"It used to be Winter. And now it's Summer."

"Why?"

Without a second thought, he spoke.

"Because of the way your hair blows in the wind when you roll down the window. The ice cream dates we go on. How you look so pretty in your little dresses. Watching you paint in open fields, trying to create art when you're the real masterpiece. The sun makes your skin even more golden. Because it's summer, and I'm sitting with you right now. Just being together."

With his dark eyes staring deeply into hers, it was too much.

There was no way, he could actually believe that. No way, with his pretty silver hair, prince like face, and gorgeous mind could he think that way about her. It was enough to bring tears to her eyes again. That he could describe her so beautifully, when she thought of herself as a desolate human being.

Why don't you just cut me open, and cave me in. Pour melting wax into my heart, and then burn me. It would have the same effect, except be less likely to kill me.

There were no words for what she felt. Again, he had taken her breath away with the intensity that appeared between them.

How could he say those words? Did he even know their effect on me?

It was a constant battle. Between how she viewed herself, and how Jimin viewed her. And the negative side always won.

So Celine did what she did best, and differed any feelings she was having with humor.

"Wow, you should write a book."

"Only if you illustrate the cover."

"It's a deal."

"Perfect. I'll call it the Lonely Lover." He said, meaning it as a joke. But it was obvious, in the way that his shoulders slumped that it held an honest reflection of life .

"Creative." The girl commmented lightly.

"Accurate." The 21 year old quipped, not holding back anymore.

She looked at him, increasingly overwhelmed by the pounding in her heart. That aching look her gave her, with sad eyes and a sloped mouth. The girl leaned forward, pressing a delicate kiss to his soft cheek.

"Jimin, I really am sorry."

For a second, his brown eyes flickered with understanding. Filled with deviation and indescribable feeling of being purely taken by one person.

"I know Celine, I know."

They were similar, and different all at once. Day and night, dark and light.

Jimin, thinking that he cared for her more than she ever could for him.

And Celine, biting her tongue and pushing back the tears. Knowing that her fantasy with him would soon end.

And so would she.

(A/N): were you surprised by Taehyung saying something? He got a little salty there for a second, and rightfully so.

What did you guys think of the ending? And I'm sorry if these chapters seem boring. Just know they will all be building towards something.

Just know I want you to focus on the feeling each season gets. The first 12 chapters were Winter, the next Spring, and now its Summer. They really add to the overall theme of the book.

Umm also....

E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES WHOOP WHOOP THEY WON HELL YAASSSS!!!!
