As she moves towards her friend, to join in the battle, Amani is thrown back by the tail as it collides with her chest. She lets out a small grunt of pain as she hits the floor, the backpack skidding towards Petra. Amani groans as she turns to push herself back up to her feet.

"How are we supposed to beat this if we're not allowed to use our quirks?" Amani asks Petra as she moves around the attack.

"We don't have to" Petra tells her as she slides under the tail. "We just need to keep it occupied until the pro-heroes arrive" Amani groans and pushes herself to her feet.

"Can't use fire..." She complains and then barely dodges the swinging tail.

"You can still fight," Petra offers warmly as she grabs onto the Lizard's wrist when it swings down, then swings herself onto the top of its arm. She pushes herself up and backflips off the arm. "Just keep him occupied" Amani sighs but nods before she races past Petra to occupy the Lizard. Petra grabs her bag and yanks it open to put in her clothing to reveal her suit underneath. Technically not using her quirk. She can use her pincers to help and the suit will give her a bit more movement over her leather trousers. She's only wearing her suit because she was showing it to Amani earlier and ran out of time to change before class. Thankfully. The suit gives her soo much more movement and to be honest, it is a great way to test the suit out before she gets to U.A. She quickly sheds her civilian clothing to reveal her suit beneath. She reaches for her bag and the little box inside, only to get swept aside by a claw strike before she can grab it. She hisses and twists to land on her feet. She lets out a breath through her nose and glances at the Lizard as he turns to glare at her. She knows she told Amani no quirk use but this might be the time to use her own. To secure and restrain this villain before he does any more damage to the school. Or herself. She glances over at her bag and then jumps up to the ceiling, sticking to it. She uses her webs to grab a small box from her bag as she crawls across the ceiling, avoiding claws and tail swipes. "Amani, a little help!" Amani lets out a breath and jumps onto the lizard's back to draw its attention to her. But it is so focused on Petra. Amani manifests a fireball into her hand, ignoring the no-quirk rule. Because they need it. Amani throws the fireball directly at the lizard's face causing him to screech and reach up to cover himself. Petra opens the box and pulls out a small device which she attaches to her head behind her ear. This is her chance to test her pincers. She focuses and suddenly from the back of her suit unfurls four spider legs. She glances back at them as they emerge and then nods. At least the connection works. Petra throws out her hands and webs up the legs of the lizard but keeps the webs attached to her so she can pull, if she can topple it, she can fully web it up and restrain it. She flips over the tail as it takes another swipe at her, her eyes locking on Banjo as he jumps from her scarf to land on the floor. "Banjo!" Petra scolds as the spider scurries towards the lizard. He is tiny in comparison, and very much a regular spider. But he's seeing Petra hurt and rushing to help her. It's touching but dangerous. "No!" She yells as the Lizard smacks Banjo right across the floor with very little effort. Amani jumps from the lizard's back to race towards the downed spider and quickly checks on him, as much as she can, as much as she knows about spider anatomy.

"He's okay," Amani assures her. "He's alive..." Amani scoops up Banjo and cradles him in her hands, protecting him as Petra's pincers dig into the floor and she holds onto her webbing trying to hold back the Lizard. Petra clenches her jaw and pulls on her webs trying to topple the lizard villain.

Later, Petra sits outside of the school, running her fingers through her scarf as a paramedic checks over her. She's not too hurt but she will ache in the coming days. She knows a scolding will come from someone for her actions, Amani too will suffer that. But what was she supposed to do? Let the Lizard run amuck. Let it hurt her without defending herself. Once the paramedic finishes, he leaves her where she sits to check on one of the students that was hurt in the rush to evacuate. Amani appears at her friend's side and sits next to her. The two of them sit there in silence as they watch the Lizard villain being dragged from the school. Amani turns to Petra and brushes her hair back behind her ear to check on her bruises. Petra's eyes scan the crowd and find Shota Aizawa. Of course he's going to be here. Because someone likely called him as soon as they realized that she was involved. At his side, Midnight shifts, brushing her hair over her shoulder. Shota's attention is on the Lizard as he is forced into the back of a prison van. Midnight leans in closer to whisper to him, pointing across to where the two girls are sitting. Petra closes her eyes and internally groans, knowing that she likely has disappointed him in some way because she broke rules and laws to fight a villain. Shota moves as soon as he realises that they are there. His eyes look over Petra to check on her. But she's honestly fine. He folds his arms over his chest when he reaches them.

"What happened?" He asks them. This is not Shota the father talking to them, this is Eraser Head the pro-hero talking to them.

"He came out of nowhere" Amani answers and glances at Petra.

"He came out of the boys bathroom" Petra counters as she was the one that actually saw him coming. "Felt it coming" She adds and looks up at him. "A tingle" He nods, understanding.

"But it was weird," Amani continues. "It was like he was targeting her" Amani rushes out and Petra turns to look at her, scolding her. She didn't want to worry her father by telling him that. Because even she realized that. Amani's fire blasts just annoyed him but never drew his attention. He was there for Petra.

"Why do you think that?" Shota asks her. Amani shrugs.

"A whole hallway filled with students and he zeroed in on Pete straight away, no one else mattered...it was her" Shota glances at his daughter who clenches her jaw and looks away from him. "And he said her name" Shota lets out a breath as he processes that his daughter was targeted, but he has no idea why. This villain is not someone that he recognizes. It could be one of Cindy's but they talked about her work and he is sure she would have mentioned a lizard quirk like this.

"Did he say anything else?"

"No" Amani answers. "Just shouted for Pete...."

"Okay" Shota whispers and lets out a breath. "Thank you, Amani" She nods and gives Petra a smile before she heads towards her own mother. Shota watches her go before turning his attention to his daughter. "Are you okay?" He asks her, dropping his Eraser Head persona to talk to her as a father. She nods and looks up at him.

"Few bruises," She admits. "And I need a nap" He lets out a breath and touches her cheek, where there is a bruise already on her cheek, though it is starting to yellow with her accelerated healing. "And I need to already make repairs to my suit" She looks down at the suit and pulls a face at the claw tears in it. "And my pincers" The four spider legs hang limp and bent against her back. "How's Banjo?"

"He's being taken care of," Shota assures her softly. Knowing how much that spider means to her. "We can go to the vet's and see him as soon as we are finished here" She nods in agreement, rapidly agreeing with him. She needs to know that Banjo is okay.
