The two members of Night Raid that had joined less than a week ago where currently looking at the several people in front of them. "So you two are going in the middle of the dessert where there are countless danger beast to . . . find something?" Najenda asked looking at them.

"Yes," Jason and Zero said with small packs in their hands.

"Well why not stay here I'm sure we can work something out?" Susanoo asked looking at the two figures in front of him.

"That wouldn't work what we're looking for is really important and it can only be found in the dessert." Zero said looking at them.

"What?" Najenda asked looking at the two males in front of her.

"Nothing it's not important, so can we go or not?" Jason asked looking at the female.

"Very well I'll give you a week to find what you're looking for after that you'll have to return. Who knows we may need the two of you in that short amount of time," the white haired female said. The two nodded and walked out of the building.

"So what do you think you're really doing?" Susanoo asked looking at her.

"I'm not sure but I'm sure they have their reasons for not telling us the truth and if we really suspect that they're doing anything bad then we can always have Tatsumi look at them," Najenda said looking at Susanoo.

"I guess you're right," Susanoo said looking at her. Unknown to the two of them Zero and Jason had already arrived in the middle of the dessert that they had said they were going to.

"So what's first?" Jason asked as he threw his sack on the ground.

"Well we have some idea of who we're going to be facing so let's start with Zenlu. He's a speed fighter and his sword makes it difficult to get a good hit on him." Zero said looking at the male.

"Okay so what are we going to do?" Jason asked looking at him. When he asked this he noticed that Zero was starting to stretch.

"Well we need to improve our speed factor so that he doesn't cut off our heads." Zero said looking at Jason. When he said this the eyes on his hands opened and Zero looked at him. "Well then I'm ready to start training whenever you are," Zero said looking at Jason.

Jason smiled and two large wings grew from his back as well as his arms turning red and breaking into scales as well as his nails becoming much longer and turning black. "Ready," Jason said as he ran forward.

Timeskip

Mine walked around the building she had decided that today was going to be the day that she told Tatsumi how she felt. She had been planning to do this for almost a week now but had never had the courage to go through with it until now.

She had been looking for him most of the day and no one had seen him. Although apparently he had been with Akame just before he left. She was on her way to ask the last person of Night Raid.

When she opened the door ahe saw the blue haired male staring at her. "What can I do for you Mine?" Susanoo asked looking at her.

"Yes have you seen Tatsumi today?" Mine asked looking at him.

"Yes I have him and Akame are at the top of that hill." Susanoo said pointing out the window. Mine nodded and walked outside. She then started to walk up the hill she was actually a little surprised she didn't think to check up there sooner.

When she got to the top she heard Tatsumi's voice speak up. "How much longer do you want to keep this a secret?" Mine heard Tatsumi say.

"Until Zero and Jason get back after all they should be back by the end of the day. After all it's only a matter of time before the others find out." Mine heard Akame say.

"Well that's good to hear. I was getting tired of hiding it anyway." Mine heard Tatsumi say in a low voice. She got nervous at this and walked around the tree. When she did she saw that Tatsumi and Akame were rather close to each other.

She wanted to say something to stop what she knew was about to happen but nothing came out. She then watched as Akame and Tatsumi kissed and she stood there while it happened. She tried to fight the tears if anything that was one thing she didn't want them to see.

When the two of them separated they looked at Mine. "Hey Mine how long have you been standing there?" Tatsumi asked looking at the pink haired figure. Mine turned around when she heard this and looked up.

"Long enough," she said her voice as calm as ever. Even though she was dying on the inside.

"Oh okay well can you keep this a secret until Zero and Jason show up? We sort of want to surprise the others," Tatsumi said looking at Mine.

"Yeah sure thing," Mine said as she looked up at the sky. When she said this she heard footsteps approach her. She then felt a hand land on her shoulder as the two walked by her.

"Thanks Mine you're the best," Tatsumi said as he walked past her.

"Sure thing I'm really happy for the two of you," Mine said as she watched them towards the house. If the two of them had looked back they would have seen a few tears that had started to fall from Mine's eyes.

As the two walked down hand in hand Mine just looked at Tatsumi's face and how happy it looked. 'I really am happy for him but still,' Mine thought as she looked at the two. 'I can't help but feel sad,' Mine thought as she sat down beside the tree and began to cry.

No one could hear her muffled sobs as she sat there and just began to cry. As time passes don she then heard two new voices come by.

"So I think I could work on my fire rings a bit more and we also might want to get you're five minute time limit up to like six or maybe even seven minutes," she heard Jason say.

"I somehow don't think that's going to happen. Plus I don't want to be reduced to that state again," Zero said as the two walked into the building. When they did they found that almost everyone was in the kitchen.

"What's going on?" Jason asked seeing that Akame and Tatsumi were standing up.

"Well now that the two of you are here we're just going to get straight to it. Tatsumi and myself are in a relationship," Akame said looking at the several figures in front of her.

"Cool," Zero said looking at them.

"I don't mean to change the subject but . . . where's Mine?" Jason asked looking at the figures in front of him.

"I think she's outside somewhere I haven't seen her ever since she left to go find Tatsumi," Susanoo said looking at him.

"I think we should try to find her," Akame said looking at the several figures in front of her.

"Where is she Zero?" Jason asked looking at the blonde male beside him. The male then pointed to the wall to his left.

"About three hundred meters in that direction," Zero said looking at her.

"How does he know that?" Leone asked looking at the two males in front of her.

"It's a perk of my imperial arm," Zero said looking at them.

"Okay well since you know where she is can you go get here?" Najenda asked looking at the blonde.

"Sure," Zero said as he got up and walked outside he then started to walk towards where he felt Mine was. He soon found himself ontop of a rather large hill by a tree and heard a few sobs.

Zero walked around the tree and heard the sobs progressively get louder he then leaned on the tree and looked at the figure in front of him. It was a little strange for him to see Mine crying especially since he thought she'd be the last person to cry.

"Want to talk about it?" Zero asked looking at her. Mine then looked up at the male she heard. She wiped her tears away and looked away from him.

"Why do you care?" Mine asked looking at him.

Zero shrugged when she asked this and sat down beside her. "Curiosity I guess. That and I don't like seeing my friends cry. So why don't you tell me what's wrong, " Zero said looking at her.

"It's something you wouldn't understand," Mine said looking at the blonde male beside her.

"Try me," Zero said looking at Mine.

"It's . . . Tatsumi," Mine said looking at him.

"Oh so it's that feeling then," Zero said looking at the sky.

"What are you talking about?" Mine asked looking at the blonde beside her.

"You're happy that Tatsumi and Akame are together. You're happy that he's found someone that he loves and makes him happy. You're also happy that you know that she's going to treat him like a real man." Zero said looking at Mine.

"You're half right," Mine said looking at the ground.

"Then there's that question that keeps lingering in the back of your mind. The one question that's making you feel like crap and it's the same damn question each and every time. Why couldn't it be me?" Zero said looking at Mine.

"So you knew?" Mine asked looking at him.

"Wasn't hard to tell. As soon as you mentioned Tatsumi it became very clear to me why you were so sad. The feeling of watching someone you love be happy with someone else is one of the worst feelings in the world." Zero said looking at Mine.

"I take it you're speaking from experience," Mine said looking at Zero.

"No I've never felt love but Jason had an experience like this once and I was able to figure out how he felt," Zero said looking at Mine.

"How'd he get over it?" Mine asked looking at the male.

"It's hard to say what made him get over her but I'm sure if you ask him you'll be able to get over Tatsumi a lot faster." Zero said as he got up and offered Mine a hand.

Mine nodded and took it. As she got up Zero smiled and the two walked back. The two walked into the house and looked at everyone. "She's back," Zero said as they entered the house.

"What took you so long Zero?" Jason asked.

"Nothing important just some minor inconvenience," Zero said looking at him.

"Okay well cool then," Jason said looking at the blonde that passed him.

"Hey Jason come here for a second I need to ask you something," Mine said looking at the brown haired male. When Jason heard this he walked towards her into a more private area and he looked at her with a confused look.

"What's up Mine?" Jason asked looking at her.

"Zero said that a while ago you fell in love with this girl and that it made to really sad. How'd you get over it?" Mine asked looking at Jason.

"Really he said that? Why would he tell you that? More importantly why do you want to know?" Jason asked looking at the pink haired female in front of him.

Mine blushed when he asked this and looked away from him. "No reason. Now tell me!" Mine said looking at the male.

"Well I was depressed for like a month and nothing I tried really worked. The last week of that month Zero decided to help me by doing different things that he thought would make me feel better. He probably doesn't remember doing any of those things well none except for the last day I don't see how he could forget that," Jason said looking at Mine.

"I see well what did he do?" Mine asked looking at Zero.

"Just a few different things to make me feel better. By the end of the week we were best friends and I was ready to start dating again." Jason said looking at her.

"Okay well thanks for the information," Mine said as she left. She then walked into the room that she knew belonged to Zero. When she did she saw Zero was looking at a distant mountain.

"What's wrong Mine?" Zero asked looking at her.

"Jason said the main reason he got over his problem was because you helped him," Mine said looking at him.

"Did I? . . . Now that you mention it I think I may have helped him. How on Earth did I get forget about that?" Zero said as he remembered what he had done.

"Well think you could do the same thing for me?" Mine asked looking away from the blonde.

"Sure after all we're friends too," Zero said looking at Mine.
