Chapter Two: Date Day

Third Person POV:

"How about this one?" Jimin inquired as he walked out of his closet.

"MM, I think I like the first one better." You spoke truthfully as Jimin disappeared back into his closest.

"Really?" You heard him shout.

"Yeah, it compliments your hair." After that compliment, Jimin walked back out and face planted himself into his bed.

"What's wrong?" You asked as you leaned backwards, lying down next to him.

"Why did I ask her out?" You heard him muffle.

"Because you like her, I don't know why are you asking me this, I'm not you." You chuckled trying to hide the sadness in your voice. You loved the idea of being there for him and being able to support him but it was slowly tearing you apart on the inside.

You had him under your nose for 14 years and yet you were too scared to make a move. Now regretting the choice of not saying anything as you are slowly losing him.

"Hahahha I guess your right, what time is it?"

"Umm." Your gaze drifted off the ceiling and to your wrist where you wore a watch. "6 o'clock." You replied.

"Oh, then I better get going," Jimin spoke before hopping off his bed and grabbing his wallet and phone, exiting the room. You followed closely behind him to see him off at the door.

"See ya mum, (y/n)." He yelled as you met with his mum at the front door of the house.

"Bye sweetie, have fun." She kindly replied.

"Have fun, Chim." You chirped with a smile.

"Thanks." Was the last words he spoke before exiting the door and leaving you with his mum alone. Which wasn't really a problem since your mum and his mum is in fact very good friends. That's the whole reason you and Jimin were best friends in the first place.

"Shall we start making dinner?" Mrs Park spoke.

"Of course." You replied before you both entered the kitchen together to begin cooking.

TIME SKIP

"Oh wow." You exclaimed as you took another bit of the food.

"Good am I right?" Mrs Park happily questioned before taking another bit from her own plate.

You nod in agreement and you both continued to each in silence enjoying your meals but Mrs Park suddenly broke the silence.

"So do you know the girl Jimin is going out on a date with tonight?" Mrs Park casually brought up.

"Ah yes, is everything all right?" You replied with a hint of confusion written on your voice. You have stayed at Jimin's house often and always cooked or ate with his mum but she never brought up anything about his love life for especially in front of you.

"I should be asking you that (y/n)." She kindly began.

"Pardon?" You look up from your lap and saw she was looking right at you with saddened eyes.

"I know you love him, am I right?" She says whilst sending you a warm smile.

"How did..." You stuttered with confusion, as far you were aware of you were pretty good at concealing your feelings for Jimin, how did Mrs Park see past your act so easily.

"(Y/n), I watched you grow up into this beautiful young woman, cheering you up when your sad and played games with you like your my own child and I know these things plus I saw the sadness in your eyes as Jimin walked outside the door tonight."

"Sorry." You silently muttered.

"For what child?" Mrs Park looked at you with a puzzled expression and you look at her as tears threatened to spill from your eyes. You're not one to show any weaknesses but it was okay, it was only Mrs Park. You grew up with her, she was like a second mother to you.

"I am just making things complicated for you guys."

"Nonsense, you're the one suffering in silence, why haven't you told him?"

"He's liked this girl for quite a while now and I want him to be happy." You flashed her a weak smile and she sent you a soft smile too.

"I see." She spoke before things got awkward you stood up from your chair and grabbed her bowl. As well as yours

"Well enough about my feelings, let's do the dishes." You spoke quickly changing the subject.

"Hah, your right." She chuckled before joining you at the sink. You both worked very efficiently getting the dishes in a few minutes. You both went your separate ways as she went off to work as she had an extra shift and you headed back up to Jimin's room. As soon you opened the door you scoffed at how messy his room was. You come over often. In fact, every Saturday and sometimes Fridays he would go over to your house and every time you did you had a habit of cleaning his room. You couldn't stand the state his room was in everything you came over but what you couldn't get you wrapped around your head. Was the fact that you came over so frequently and every single time without fail his room would go back to being messing in a week. It was around 9 o'clock and you began getting tired after finishing with cleaning his room. You sat down on the floor and rested your head on the bedside and slowly fell asleep.

About thirty minutes later Jimin arrived home. He took off his shoes and was about to call out your name but remembered that you could be asleep. He quickly made his way up to his room and opened the door to find you calmly sleeping, with your head rested on the side of his bed. "You could have just slept on my bed, idiot." Jimin whispered before lifting you up, being careful not to wake you and placing you down onto his bed. "Thanks for the outfit idea, it was a hit." He whispered before into the bathroom to clean up for bed.

So how are you guys enjoying the book so far?

If it isn't obvious this book is actually written in advance and I am currently rewriting the other chapters. I am also trying to drag the book a little longer and add more detail because I realise the books I have written in the past are pretty short so I hope I can make this last longer.
