"Guys, prom is in a day, do you have dates?" Seulgi exclaimed excitedly. I smiled at her childish behaviour, reminding me of our first year in this school.

FLASHBACK:

"Geez, why is everyone so excited about prom?" Jimin asked with an emotionless  tone.

"Haha you won't be saying that in a few years time." Jin chuckled.

"Yeah Jimin, it will be fun." I exclaimed, nudging him encouragingly.

"What's so fun about dancing around on a dance floor with no technique?"

"Well there is more to it then that." Jin tried to explain. Jimin still looked as emotionless as ever.

"Its about letting loose and having fun." I smiled, moving my hands around whist swinging my hips.

"Ew, stop that." Jimin spoke.

"Hey, how about you and I go together and I'll show you a good time." I suggested, at first he looked at me with disapproval but soon after his expression softened and he nodded his head.

"Promise?"

"Promise."

FLASHBACK OVER:

"Of course Chim and I are going together." Once I hear the word come out of Yoon Hee's mouth I freeze.

"Hahaha yep, can't wait." Jimin exclaimed. I looked at them with a deadpanned expression. It was like all the colour on my face had disappeared, not only did Jimin not remember our promise but Yoon Hee called him by the nickname I called him. I know I didn't deserve that nickname but it was linked with a special moment, I just felt off. Like I had been replaced, tho it's only natural. I can't stay his best friend forever.

"I thought you and (y/n) where mean~." I quickly realised what Jin was about to say, I quickly placed my hand over his mouth. Everyone shot me a puzzled expression and I laughed nervously.

"What he means to say is, weren't Yoongi and I meant to go to the dance together." I quickly made up, linking arms with the sleepish boy. Yoongi looked down at me, now twice as confused.

"When did we~oww." I pinched his side before he could mutter another word, giving away what I didn't want Jimin to remember.  

"Just go with it." I mumbled into his ear.

"You own me." He whispered back.

"Yeah okay, fair enough." Everyone shot us confused glances once again, Yoongi smiles nervously as Seulgi and Jungkook pulled me out of the circle.

"(Y/n), are you okay?" Seulgi inquired with a worried expression.

"Ha?" I say snapping out of my trance.

"I asked if you where okay?" She repeated.

"Oh yeah I am." I quickly replied.

"So who's the lucky guy (y/n), I didn't exscpet Yoongi." Seulgi asked, nudging me in the elbow.

"I actually wasn't planning on going." I plainly said before turning to my locker to grab my books for my next class.

"What, why not?" Seulgi pouted.

"I just don't feel like it but you guys go and have fun." I flashed them a fake smile before slamming my locker door and walking away. I hear loud footsteps behind me but I did not turn around.

"Okay what's up?" Seulgi spoke seriously, wrapping an arm around my shoulder.

"Nothing." I answered plainly.

"She was meant to go with Jimin." Jungkook said.

"What?" Seulgi inquired, as their conversation continued I stay quiet for the entire time.

"Yeah, her and Jimin made a promise at the start of first year to go together once they are old enough." Jungkook explained.

"Wait, what kind of idiot doesn't remember that?" Seulgi exclaimed as anger began to cloud her mind.

"I guess it would make sense for him to go with Yoon Hee since they are dating and all." Jungkook spoke practically, I watched as Seulgi punched him in the gut causing him to yelp in pain.

"What?" He shouted, I watched as Seulgi tried to gesture that I was right here discreetly but fail.

"It's okay, why would anyone remember the stupid promise anyway." I reassured Seulgi and Jungkook. Seulgi and Jungkook's expression softened once they hear me say that and rush over enveloping me in a tight hug.

"Oh I'm making you go all right, you need to have some fun and loosen up after all the pain you have been through." Seulgi announced as we broke the embrace.

"NO, I'm fine, I don't even have anyone to go with anyway." I tried to convince Seulgi but once her mind is set on something she was not going to give up.

"I'll sort that out." Jungkook smirked.

"Great and whilst Jungkook does that we can find you a pretty dress tonight, once Jimin sees you in it he won't be thinking of you as his best friend anymore." Seulgi said pushing me into class whilst waving Jungkook goodbye.

"Wait, are you going?" I asked after just realising Seulgi had been talking like she was going the whole entire time. "Do you have a date?" I turned around whilst raising an eyebrow.

"Yes but you will have to wait and see." Seulgi winked before taking a seat.

TIME SKIP:

"No."

"How about this one?"

"No."

"This one?" 

"NO."

"Come on (y/n) work with me here." Seulgi whined.

"Okay, how about none?" I suggested.

"No, can you please try this one on please, it will look so nice on you." Seulgi pushed, trying to get me to at least try on one prom dress. "Here." Seulgi said before shoving me into the change room with a pile of dresses. I sighed in defeat and scanned through the dresses Seulgi had picked out for me, one particular one caught my eye. I was a long navy blue dress which had a slit on the left leg but not too revealing and beautiful hand work on the top part of the dress. I am not really a person who you would consider fashion forward and even I thought this dress was gorgeous. I tried it on and reluctantly walked out showing Seulgi the dress I had picked out. I shuffled forward and watched as Seulgi's eyes began to sparkle with  excitement. "Oh my gosh, this one is beautiful on you!" She exclaimed, gaining everyone in the shops attention. She sheepishly apologised and went back to admiring me.

"You think?" I questioned whilst raising an eyebrow.

"Yes, we don't even need to try and find another dress, this is the one." She quickly announced.

"Thats good with me, as long as I can go home now." I spoke, shrugging my shoulders.

"Ugh yes it means we are going home, after we pay for the dress." Seulgi pushed my back into the changing room and told me to hurry up. I quickly get changed back into my usual clothes and walk out, paying for the dress. We then began our trip back home but along the way we bumped into someone I hope I wouldn't bump into on my way home.

"(Y/n), Seulgi!" I hear Yoon Hee's voice call, closely after we hear Jimin call as well. My face scrunched up in annoyance as they approached, Seulgi sensed this and whispered as we continued walking.

"We can pretend not to hear them if you want." She suggested, I simply nodded and we pretended not to hear them and walk towards the exit of the shopping centre.

"Did you guys not hear us calling?" Yoon Hee spoke out of breath as she tapped us on the shoulder.

"Oh hey Seulgi, didn't see you there." Seulgi exclaimed. She was acting of course but she was not very good at that.

"Hey." I responded.

"So what are you guys doing that is so secretive you didn't invite me, we used to always go out for shopping trips together." Yoon Hee inquired as Jimin has finally caught up to us.

"Ummm nothing, it was more of a last minute thing and besides you have Jimin." Seulgi tried to explain.

"Yeah but I still need my quality girl time with my girls." Yoon Hee continued.

"Yeah sorry." I apologised.

"What's in that bag (y/n)?" Yoon Hee inquired curiously.

"Nothi~."

"Her prom dress." Seulgi quickly butted in. I stare at Seulgi, giving her an 'I'll kill you face' but she didn't seem to understand.

"Are you going?" Jimin spoke in a surprised tone.

"Oh yeah well someone forced me to go." I spoke, mumbling the last part of my sentence.

"Hahah well would you look at the time, we gotta run, important stuff to do, you two have fun on your date, bye." Seulgi blurted, pushing me away from Yoon Hee and Jimin.

JIMIN'S POV:

"Is it just me or has (y/n) been acting strange recently?" I thought out loud.

"No, I think its just you." Yoon Hee replied.

"She doesn't seem to smile anymore." I thought harder, trying to think back to the last time she had smiled. "Never." I said again.

"I think you are over thinking things Chim, just forget about it." I hear Yoon Hee say. 

"Yeah maybe your right." I ended up agreeing with Yoon Hee. However, I didn't stop thinking about it, I kept thinking back to the times I had spent with (y/n) over these few weeks and I had realised it had been getting less and less.
