Kankeros pov

"What a pain in the ass" I rubbed the back of my neck with a sigh. After a lot of convincing they decided I'm not some abusive assholes who enslaved him and decided to spare my life (death by bugs is definitely not fun *shutter*). Kibas staying with them and temari has gone god knows where so I'm heading to the kage meeting to support my baby brother.

I headed inside the office and immediately noticed the tall, dark haired boy sitting next to him.

"Who the hell are you?" I growled.

"This is Lee" gaara explained "I asked him to join me because I felt uncomfortable going in myself"

"I'm sorry gaara. I should have been here but I am now" I shot the Lee guy a warning look before sitting next to gaara.

"Before we start" the Raikage raised his hand "is it entirely appropriate for an omega to take place in this discussion? Someone so weak and emotional really shouldn't be running a village?" The other's murmured in agreement except for the white haired hokage who stayed silent. I was about to raise an objection when-

"Is that any way to speak to a fellow kage" Lee spoke up "he was chosen for this role because the sand saw him as the best candidate"

"Well said Lee. Those are the words I'd expect from a student of might gai" the hokage nodded "we shouldn't cause any discourse with the sand. Let's keep things civil yeah?"

"Of course" the Raikage coughed awkwardly. I smirked. Not so big now are you ya smug bastard!

Gaara gave Lee a grateful nod before turning to the other kages "shall we get started?"

*Time skip*

"That was amazing gaara. The way you kept your cool was seriously impressive" Lee praised him as we left.

"Well I wouldn't have been able to if you didn't stand up for me back there. Thank you" he gave him a sweet smile.

A soft blush spread across his cheeks "gaara how would you feel about joining me for drinks" oh no he didn't!

"I would love t-"

"Sorry but gaara is far too busy for that sort of thing" I held him protectively.

"I should have some time for drinks" he argued.

"No I don't think you do" I glared at Lee.

He nodded in understanding "of course you'd be protective of your brother. Then how about you join us"

"Yeah you could bring kiba" gaara suggested.

"I guess it would be nice to get out with him" I muttered thoughtfully "okay fine you win!"

"Yes thank you" he pulled me into a hug, something he rarely does. He must really like this boy "okay Lee we'll see you at eight"

"I look forward to it" he waved as I dragged my brother away.
