Kankeros pov

"Ah I love fireworks" I smiled as the village burnt to the ground. With the three of us working together we wiped these jerks out in no time flat! Admittedly gaara did most of the work. Not that I'd ever admit it to him!

"I think we've watched long enough" temari turned her back to the burning village "the mission's complete so we should return home. Besides we shouldn't keep the little stray waiting" she winked at me. I groaned as a red blush lit up my face. Even gaara giggled at my embarrassment. Siblings are the worst!

*Time skip*

We headed inside to find the place a mess with a dead body spread out. In front of us was a big ass dog licking kiba to death. He giggled delightedly. This is the first time he seemed genuinely happy. I guess he's a dog person.

The big ass hound noticed us and got into a defensive position, growling at us. We pulled out our weapons, ready to defend ourselves when kiba placed a hand on him, immediately calming him.

"Kibas step aside" I said in a stern but gentle tone "that animal is clearly dangerous. We need to get rid of it-" I stopped. Kiba fell to his hands and knees in a bowing position. My eyes soften "you wanna keep the dog that badly huh" his body shook with tears. I sighed in defeat "okay you win. You can keep the mutt" his eyes lit up as he pounced into my arms.

"You break so easily little brother" temari smiled teasingly. Gaara petted the dog with a happy smile. I guess he's part of the family now "now let's get moving. It's time to go home"
