Kankeros pov

I walked through the sand as we inched closer and closer to our hometown. Me and my siblings were used to walking long distances under the hot sun but poor kiba wasn't used to it at all! He tried to walk with us for a few miles but eventually he gave up and opted to ride sleepily on akamarus back.

"That sure is one strong pooch" gaara stared at the dog in amazement "I know kiba is a small boy but it's still amazing that he can hold his weight so well"

"Yeah well it's not that impressive. I could carry him like that too" I grumbled.

"Getting jealous of a dog isn't cute kankero" temari poked my cheek. I pouted before glaring at akamaru. I am not losing to a dog!

"We're here" gaara gestured to the building in front of us. As the two of them headed inside I hung back and gently shook kiba awake

"wake up puppy" I muttered gently "we're home" he rubbed his eyes in confusion before looking up at our castle sized house. His eyes lit up before he excitedly headed inside. I chuckled as I tried to keep up with him.

In his excitement he crashed into Baki. Baki growled before raising his kunai to him.

"Stop!" I grabbed him by the wrist "baki this is kiba. He's my omega" kiba hugged my waist fearfully.

"I see" he put away his kunai with a smile "it's nice to see at least one of you settling down. He's rather scruffy though. That won't do" he clapped his hand, summoning some maids "make sure to make the master's omega look presentable"

"Yes baki-san" they bowed before leading kiba away. He looked back at me nervously. I gave him a reassuring smile as he was led away.

"Now" baki turned to me "let's discuss how the mission went"
