"It's kibas birthday?" Gaara gasped.

"Yeah he told me last week" I sighed "I asked all his friends over for a surprise party. Will you help me set things up?"

"Of course. This is probably the first time kiba has celebrated his birthday since his kidnapping" he nodded.

"Yeah let's make this perfect" I said determinedly.

*Time skip*

"Surprise!"

Kiba blinked in surprise as he walked in on us popping confetti. His eyes landed on the banner happy birthday kiba and he teared up.

"Everything alright honey?" I asked worriedly.

"You guys are the best!" He wrapped his arm around my neck before pulling away with a grin "alright let's get this party started!"

And so we drank together, poorly sung together with a karaoke machine and played various party games.

"Alright kiba, blow out the candles" temari held out the cake. Kiba skipped over excitedly and was about to blow when he fell backwards.

"Kiba!"

*Time skip*

I paced back and forth anxiously. The whole party was gathered in the cramped hospital hallway, waiting in bated breath for how kiba is. Please let him be okay.

"Kankero-san" the nurse popped her head out "will you come in here? Kiba has something he wants to tell you" fearfully I entered the room where kiba sat, dangling his feet over the hospital bed.

"Kiba" I rushed over to him "baby are you okay?"

"Yeah I'm fine. I actually just got the best birthday present ever" he touched his stomach with a smile. My eyes widened in realisation.

"You're pregnant" a smile crept up my face "oh my god I'm going to be a dad!" I reached out to hug him when-

"You're pregnant!" I was shoved out of the way by several people. They are gathered around him, chatting excitedly. Despite being rudely pushed out of the way I was still smiling like an idiot. He really is the best thing that ever happened to me.
