Kankeros pov

I yawned and stretched as the sun hit my eyes. This Christmas we decided to stay in the hidden leaf as that is where all our loved ones are. Shikamaru was kind enough to let us crash at his place for the holidays. Maybe we were too hard on him before.

I stepped over to the curtains and reached out to open them. Once I did I stumbled back in shock.

"Everything's white!"

"What?" Gaara and Temari jumped up and stared out the window in disbelief.

"What happened?"

"Is it white sand?"

We stopped once we heard laughter from behind us. We looked over to see our boyfriends laughing "what's so funny?" We glared at them.

"It's just snow guys" kiba laughed.

"That is right" Lee added "it snows every Christmas here"

"But what causes it?" Gaara asked.

"Well some scientists believe it's frozen rain but that hasn't been proven yet" shikamaru shrugged.

"I haven't seen snow in so long" kiba threw on some warm clothes before forcing some on me "come on, we have to go out together"

"I don't know about thi-ahh!" He dragged me out into the winter wonderland. It was cold outside but the crunchy snow sounded nice beneath my feet "hey I think I like snow"

"I knew you would" he giggled "now come on. There's so much I want to show you"

And so he taught me how to make snow angels, how to throw a snowball and we managed to get caught in a snowball fight. Not fun!

"I've decided I hate snow!" I declared.

"Hehe kankero look, I found your twin" I looked over to see a snowman he built.

"Babe that thing looks nothing like me" I gave him an offended look.

"What you don't see the resemblance around the face?" He smirked teasingly.

"You little!" I tackled him to the ground. He giggled as we rolled around in the snow. Suddenly I sat up.

"Something wrong babe?" He asked.

"I think it's time I gave you your Christmas present" I pulled the ring out of my pocket "this is my mother's wedding ring. I want you to have it"

"That's the most beautiful thing I've ever gotten" he put the ring on before wrapping his arms around my neck and kissing me "I'll cherish it forever"

"Thank you love" I rubbed noses with him "now let's get inside before I freeze to death"

And so we spent the rest of the evening cuddled under a Christmas blanket with a roaring fire and two hot chocolate.
