"itadakimasu"

The three of us dug into the food gaara made for us. Him and temari tend to rotate when it comes to cooking. I try to help but they said I'm a fire hazard!

"So let's talk about the little stray" temari put her tea down.

"The kid huh" I gave her a sceptical look "what about him?"

"We were ordered to kill everyone in the sound village" she explained "that stray may have been forcefully taken here but the sand won't see it that way. I'm asking how we protect him"

I grimaced. I didn't think of that. Still I can't just abandon the kid.

"Maybe you could claim him" Gaara's suggestion honestly threw me off a little.

"Huh?"

He closed his eyes, deep in thought "if he was claimed and promised to bring children to our family then there would be no objections. With temari being a beta and me being an omega you're the only one in a position to claim that boy. Would you be willing to?"

To save his life. I didn't have to think twice "I am"

"My you must really like this stray" temari smirked teasingly.

"Temari it's not like that-" I was cut off by a soft yelp behind me. I turned around to see the boy peaking over the wall.

"Hey puppy" I smiled at him "gaara made breakfast. Come over and join us" he reluctantly walked over and took a seat.

"This is for you little stray" temari handed him a notebook. He looked up in confusion. "You don't seem like the talkative type little stray so I thought you could write your thoughts down here" she smiled kindly as he gingerly took the notepad from her hands "let's start with your name"

He picked up a pen and wrote something down. He held the notepad up, revealing the word kiba.

"Kiba. So that's your name" I gave him a friendly smile "I guess it's our turn to introduce ourselves. The girl's temari, the red head's gaara and I'm kankero, your new alpha"

He nodded before writing down the words 'it's nice to meet you all'. I smiled softly. What a sweet kid.

"It's time" temari stood up. The rest of us followed suit.

"We're going on an important mission" I explained "stay here and wait for us"

'Ok please stay safe' he wrote. I gave him a reassuring smile before heading out.
