"An untold truth"

SUBJECT: I don't understand
DATE: 14th January

Dear Diary,

Lately, I've been feeling off for some reasons and I don't understand why I'm feeling like this. My body feel lighter and my mind went blank whenever I come across that room where mom and dad have locked it away in the deepest of the mansion. It's seems they were afraid of something hidden in that room, assuming it was from how they warned everyone to never come near the room especially me.

I tried asking them why they didn't want me to get near the room but they never told me. I'm not satisfied with their answers of saying it was for my own safety.

Something wasn't right here.

Something that wasn't meant to be here.

And that something was bothering me.

Are the answers to these strange feelings in that room?

Why is everyone so afraid of it?

Why does its bother me so much whenever I come across it.

Something that wasn't there to begin.

A voice.

I heard it as the voice was weak and sad, trying to call out to anyone nearby.

But no one heard it.

No one expect me.

What should I do? Should I help them?

But most importantly,

What am I going to--

At the end of the page was missing as if it was torn by someone.

❝That's strange...It's my handwriting but I don't remember anything about a room❞

A little girl pick up the used diary from the wooden study table in middle of what its seems to be a library with countless of  books were place in a neat manner.

The entrance of the library were slammed open, revealing a panting tall figure standing in the middle of the doorway.

❝Young Mistress, Where were you this whole time-❞

The high-pitched screeching noise of chairs being shoved around on the tiled floor were heard as the young girl who was once stood on her feets was now on the floor as the tower of books have fallen down from the table, spreading across the floor in a messy manner.

Her eyes wider in shocked as she stared into the eyes of the older male who is currently holding onto the diary as if his life depends on it, his face was pale enough to have a rivalry with a piece of sheet.

His forehead was full of sweats as he took a few steps backwards. His eyes were wider, showing the emotions hidden within his eyes; disbelief and fear.

❝How?❞

❝Wh-What do you mean...?❞

❝Y-You weren't supposed to find it-❞

❝Haru...it was under my bed last night and I thought I should return it here but I got curious so I read-❞

❝You did what?!❞

The sudden high pitch of the male's voice cause the younger girl to cover her ears from harming them, protecting her ears with both of her hands.

❝Shh, we are in a library for your information! What's wrong? This is not like you at all-❞

❝Just Shut up!!!❞

Silence.

There was no sounds were made by them, both were starting to feel the intensity of the atmosphere around them as the youngest between the two, staring at the male with her mouth widen opened.

❝H-Haru...?❞

Her eyes were filled with tears, scared and shocked to even move around to reach out to him.

What did she do wrong?

Was reading that diary matter that much?

He look away, not wanting to stare any longer as guilt starts building up inside himself, making his heart feel heavy almost like it was hard to breath.

❝Y-You... You must not land a finger on this diary, you're forbidden to enter this very room!❞

❝What?! You can't serious right now!❞

❝I'm serious, now go back to your room❞

❝But...why?❞

❝No questions! Back to your room this instant or I will inform your parents about this❞

The younger girl want to punch something as he have strike a nerve within her, not looking back to him as she walks away with heavy steps and the aura around her darken as each step she took.

❝Why can't you just tell me why?!❞

The sound of the door was slammed shut harshly causing some books to fell down from the bookshelfs, leaving the male alone in the dark as the only source of lights were seen through the windows of the library.

His eyes stare into the darkness of the night as there was no sound nor movements were made. He was alone again just like the last time she left him behind in the dark. Just like the last time, he last saw her.

❝I'm sorry, young mistress... But this is for the sake of keeping you safe...❞

He let his fingers across the hard cover of the old diary as an unnoticeable tear in the corner of his right eye fall across his cheek.

❝I failed to protect you that day...❞

Oh if only she knows the truth behind this mystery case.
