song recs pt. 4?
yeah. why not?
1. Double Lariat by Megurine Luka
This is a pretty old song and arguably one of the most famous Luka ones out there, but it has a great tune and deep symbolism. It doesn't have the best tuning, but Lon has a great cover of it~ a lot of people say this is just about the mc being the earth and everything, but I see this song as not being good enough at first and having friends that are better, but when you finally surpass your friends, you lose them and you want to go back to the past.
" it was fun just to spin, and I wanted to stay that way. "
2. Ame Kikoe Zankyou/ Echo of My Voice in The Rain by IA
I don't listen to a lot of Orangestar songs, but I have to admit that I love the song (especially the Soraru cover, because I don't exactly listen to as much Vocaloid as utaite covers). It has a great, soothing tune and god knows how much I love quiet songs (sorry Jingx). In all honesty, this hit really close to home because it's about being?? Annoying? Not good enough for this world? Not getting why you're struggling so much through this ugly life? Sorry if I've ranted so much here; I just really love this song because of how beautiful and relatable this is.
" drowning in our cries, as if saying 'stop that, you're annoying! "
3. before light by Hatsune Miku
Recently, I've fallen into this deep, deep hole that is keeno (a producer) trash. All of their songs are really pretty and soft (and there's something about the tuning that just gets to me) and I would put all of them in this list if I could. But this song is about having a friend? Lover? that has been hiding their emotions and feelings from you and you're only just realising it and everything. It's kind of like 1/6 -out of the gravity-, I guess, but I prefer this song because of its more mellow edge.
" now here, alone, I remember that quaking voice of yours. "
4. frost by V Flower
Some people know how much I love Little Parade. OK, maybe not the original, but Zeru's cover of it--still. I love Little Parade. I came across this wonderful song that's by the same producer, and I hadn't listened to much v flower then so why not? It has powerful beats, a great tune (reminiscent of Little Parade in a few places) and great, unique tuning of flower. About the lyrics? I guess it's about someone when a person they cared greatly about left them, and they're just plunging deep into this sea of emotions and despair and they want them to come back. Pretty good stuff.
" I'm dissolving, sinking into the sea of my own overflowing tears. "
5. Copycat by GUMI English
Hooray for the first English Vocaloid song here!!1! I'm a pretty big fan of Circus-P's works (like Deja Vu, but that's not going on the list quite yet) because of his good tuning and masterful lyrics and melodies. Copycat is a really powerful song, and the chorus and numerous repetitions just make the whole situation seem like one entire despondent cycle. It's about someone who tries to copy other people's personalities in order to please others, but behind those faces, she finds that she has no face or personality of her own. The song also has a simple yet effective PV that I love, and argh I just love this relatable treasure <3
" I'll become what you like--this is what you wanted, right?! "
Welp, bye lol
