A few weeks went by, seeming as fast as lightning. Ardin has my heart and soul under her full control. Just the thought of losing her makes me wallow in self pity.

Trudging up the stairs of her house, I ponder over the foreign presence approaching. I felt desperate and solitude coursing throughout its body. Who is this person and what do they want?

Ding Dong

The doorbell rings through the house. I stop dead in my tracks. I thought I killed off the entire world...and Ardin is asleep in her room. I slowly descend back down the stairs, stepping one by one.

Ding Dong

The doorbell rings again. I gulp but continue. The doorbell keeps ringing until they turn into frantic knocking. As I finally reach the door, I quickly pull the door back less than an inch.

"Who is it?" I bark. I hear light sobs erupting from the other side of the door. "M-my name is Asher. T-this is the last place with an-anyone alive. Please...please h-help me!" Based in their name and voice, I could tell that this was a man. A man close in age with me, he seems to be a male teenager.

I creaked the door open a little more, so that I could see his face. His hair was a brown, similar to mine but lighter, and his eyes were a deep dark blue. I scowled are him. If he went after my sweet Ardin, I would tear him to shreds.

"Come inside, I'll introduce you to my lover." I said emphasizing 'lover'. When he heard that another person was alive, his eyes got brighter. "Chill out." I said smoothly.

I opened the door wider then proceeded to let Asher inside. "This place is...awfully large. Are there anymore people here?" I glanced at him. At the time, my magic was weak and I couldn't kill. Now, everyone will bow down to my merciless ways. Now, I will have an army.

"No. As far as I know, everybody else is dead." I said, slightly harsh. Just then, there was an abrupt crash. My eyes swiftly darted to the stair case and I quickly sprinted up them. "Ardin?!" I shouted.
