(Reapers POV)
Walking back with Geno from the doctor he got a new prescription, which I guess he's not very fond about, it just means more pills to take every night.

My arm was slung around his shoulder he leaned in to me happily managing to keep up with my stride, "that wasn't completely awful love" I spoke giving a side glance at him to see his reaction.

He only shrugged, how ever he stopped and looked down at his shoe which the lace was untied, I put my arm back by my side while he bent down and tied it back up.

I noticed a gang of rough looking monster staring at the both of us. Confused i shook my head looking back at Geno who was almost finished. Noticing two walked by I couldn't help but catch what he said to the other. "That's that mute freak"

I couldn't help but feel angry, "what did you say?" I growled making Geno looked up at me confused. The two stopped making one smirk over his shoulder.

"Oh I'm sorry, I said that's that mute Freak" he spoke tauntingly. Bawling my fists I gave him a death look.

(Genos POV)
I was still kneeling down shocked by how angry reaper was, I was used to comments like this. Obviously I could never fight back so I was taken aback when reaper didn't let their comment slide.

Looking up at him shocked his words tuned out as I noticed their was a aqua tinge to his eye light, maybe I never noticed it before? I was so busy staring at it I fell backwards in surprise when reaper swung a punch right in to the dog monsters snout.

Snapping out of it I heard him let out a string of curses, but his buddy already lunged for reaper, panicking I stood up wanting reaper to stop it, kinda just waving my hands about to get his attention he paid hardly any notice.

Thinking I ignored how bad of a idea this was and just walked over to them. Watching reaper for a moment i blushed I got to admit. He was kind hot like this, sighing I grabbed his sleeve and pulled him away, "Geno?!" I ignored him and continued walking shaking my head.

Finally when we where a good distance away from their taunting I turned to reaper with concerned look. His face was fine trailing a hand on his arm and then to his ribs he winced which made me freeze. Shaking my head at him like I was scolding him he gave a chuckle "I'm fine love, but how was I supposed to let that guy go after what he said?" I shrugged before noticing we where out side of the coffee shop I used to go to when I was off work.

"Huh, work." Was all reaper said which made me confused. He saw my expression and nodded "you didn't know?" Getting out my note pad which only had a few slips of paper left I wrote, 'you never told me' he only shrugged "huh, do you want to get somthing to drink then?" Still confused I feel like I should be remembering somthing.. but I followed him in anyways.

Looking around curiously reaper ordered for us and went in to a conversation with one of his coworkers, damn it why do I keep having this  déjà vu moment?

"You alright?" Reaper asked breaking his conversation to look at me, he's always asking that now a days, I'm not just going to collapse and die,I thought nodding I looked back at the girl he was talking too. "Here's your coffees" she spoke with a bubbly attitude. Smiling I took it and started to walk out knowing reaper was following behind me.

Holding out my hand for him he took as we walked back home, taking a sip of the hot drink I glanced at reaper who had a thoughtful look on his face. Nudging him with my shoulder, he hummed in response we stopped outside the door,shaking my head I just shrugged getting out the keys to unlock the door.

Everything was pretty normal we made supper together watched tv but as I got in to bed my mind was still nagging at me, laying in my back I waited for reaper who was still in the other room for some reason.

Shutting my eyes I was ready for sleep until it occurred to me, jolting up wide eyed it came to me like a slap in the face. I'm his soul mate.

(Reapers POV)
Staring at the counter as I was lost in thought I had come to the decision, Geno needed more pills, it was clear he was in fact getting sicker. I had to end it, I didn't want to I hated the thought but I want what's best for him. I love him so much it'll kill me to see him die in front of me, call me selfish I guess.

Hearing Genos feet patter I turned and looked at him seeing he had a look between shock and happiness, instantly freezing I didn't want to do it even more, coming over to me hastily he grabbed my hands with a huge grin.

"Arnt you supposed to be sleeping" he gave a shrug still smiling. Sighing he must of saw my expression his smile faltering, "I-i can't-.. Won't let you do this to your self Geno" he gave a confused look and mouthed what? "Staying with me your killing your self, I always excepted my fate but you," I looked at his arm the cursive words clear as day written on it.

"You have a chance, you have a chance to live happy.. and I want what's best for you" at this point I was just trying to justify this  for my self "I know this is a bad time, and I'll always hate my self for it" his smile vanished with a look of bewilderment shaking his head he mouthed no over and over.

Looking to the floor I let my arms go limp making Geno drop my hands, "I think we should break up." I said it so quietly I wasn't sure he even heard it.

Meeting my eyes up at his i braced my self for his expression but he looked distressed, feeling in his pockets he shook his head holding a finger up at me before running off.

Confused I wasn't expecting this I followed seeing him search around, "Theirs no paper, remember we ran out this morning" he put his hands on his head giving a are you kidding me look.

(Genos POV)

Why is their no damn paper!! I thought wildly, looking back at him he seemed miserable he said something but I didn't catch it he let out a heaving sigh , "I have to go.." he said quietly shaking my head he started to head out grabbing the car keys. Standing their like a idiot I struggled for what to do, I couldn't tell him.

Chasing after him he was just about to put his hand on the door knob when I opened my mouth to speak.

Instantly Their was a sharp pain as no sound came out, clutching my throat I gasped quietly. When I was born, I was able to speak but my vocal cords where in such bad shape it was impossible even saying a single word would send me to the hospital and I would be in pain for months if not years trying to recover.

But this was a dire time, trying again a small wordless noise came out making reaper pause, "Geno?" He questioned looking back at me by now tears where threatening  to fall from how badly in pain I was, "s...to...p" I manged to squeak out  falling to my knees I squeezed my eyes shut grasping my throat.

"Geno!" He said running over and kneeling next to me, "babe..." I shook my head tasting somthing strongly  metallic.

Reaper gave a confused look before hissing with pain, gripping his wrist he looked confused, ignoring the pain, reaching my free hand out I moved his hand and lifted his sleeve.

Their it was. Clear as day,  the words that proved my point "Stop."

"Holy sh*t, we are soulmates" reaper breathed wide eyed, I stared at his arm as black dots danced in my vision.

I was in so much pain it was unbearable. I let out a silent laugh my body shaking, "gen?" Squeezing my hand on his wrist I smiled sadly turning my eye upwards to him. By now he was unfocused and blurry, and that's when it went all black. It was cold and dark, and I was alone.
