(Reapers POV)

After getting that sorted cross went home. I tucked it away in the glove box of my car. Jumping out Geno was supposed to go in tomorrow to see sci,  opening the door Geno peaked from around the Corner with a pout.

Before opening my mouth Geno held the note out

'Why where you out for so long????' Chuckling I made it sound like I found it funny but what was I going to say???? "I was out with cross" he gave me a suspicious look but didn't push it.

Scribbling some thing he handed me the note 'you just never go out unless it's for work thats all' "what?? No I go out sometimes I'm not that much of a hermit,okay" he just rolled his eye lightly laughing silently  pulling me in to the kitchen.

Kicking off my shoes quickly I complied with his pulling, he pushed me on the couch and before I could say anything he hoped down next to me cuddling underneath my arm. Blushing slightly I begun to pet his skull gently seeing a small smile grace his angelic face.

""Nervous?" He gave a shrug rolling so he's able to look at me, he found the note pad back out his pocket, 'why should I be when I know it'll be okay' yeah he wrote it with confidence but it was always hard to tell.

Hardest part of this relationship Geno could hide so many emotions with out his voice, it was hard to tell when he was hurt angry with me, upset, fed up, nervous.. I just had to rely on his body language.

Gently sighing he watched me even though I wasn't looking at him anymore.

Instead I turned the tv on, maybe he isn't nervous, I'm probably just over reacting "Geno-" I didn't have time to finish that sentence because his 'lips' where pressed agasint  mine when he pulled away he seemed a bit worried before burying his face in my shirt.

Laughing a little slightly I moved to stroking along his back the continus motion made him visibly relax as he Let out a breath," you mean the world to me love" he shifted a bit at my words before looking up at me with a pouty face his chin resting on me. He let out a breathy sigh again , getting up.

Watching him from the couch he seemed to start making dinner, smiling I decided to join him he looked at me curiously "I think we should do this together tonight hm?" He just shook his head smiling but didn't scoot me out the kitchen like he usually dose.

It was a nice time at some point he threw a onion at me after I may or may not that have made a flirty comment about him. And after we ate we went to bed he curled in to my side his soft breaths tickling my arm.  He looked peaceful and with that I let sleep come knowing that Geno was safe in my arms and nothing could ruins this not one bit.

(Genos POV)
I woke up before reaper, he looked like he was tired last night so I manged to creep out slowly, I couldn't help but feel excited nervous and sick at the same time. Finally today was the day it couldn't get anymore better then this I have some one who loves me unconditionally I'm finally going to have my life sorted and the from their itll no matter be a wishful thought a future will be reality.

I decided to make bacon and eggs for breakfast singing a tune in my head I kept at my busy work until I felt arms wrap around my waist and a head rest in the crook of my neck sleepily nuzzling in to my neck . "Morning love~" leaning in to his face slightly to show him I heard him I continued to flip the bacon feeling him leave gentle kissing along the bone.

He stayed like that hugging on to my gently, he even started humming slightly making me smile slightly, he rarely hummed only on the odd occasion when he was super bored or didn't realize I was their.

It was pleasant, making up for the obvious lack of conversation. Finally when i deemed it good enough cooked he pulled away allowing me to be able to move. Though I missed his warmth we went and sat down. "Feeling okay dear~" nodding with a smile I still felt pretty sick.

Reapers  Phone buzzed somewhere within the house. He exchanged a look seemingly giving me a silent question to answer it. Nodding he got up and went to find it.

Remaining seated I heard him talk quietly trying to listen in he must have been in the bedroom so it was near impossible to hear him speak.

Finally he came back "almost ready to go?" Looking at my barely touched plate with a grimce I stood up with a nod.

We had arrived after a bit of a drive sci wanted us to go to his proper lab instead of the one in the middle of the city that's mainly used to stitch people up and fix minor soul damage.

Now that we where pulled up in front of the white steel building I could feel my soul pounding with excitement or fear.

"Geno?" Snapping my attention to reaper he searched my gaze "are you sure you want to do this today?" I didn't want to put this off any longer. The faster I get it over and done with the easier it will be to handle it so I don't over think it.

Nodding reaper gave me a unconvinced look but got up out the car anyways.

Following him I quickly grabbed on to his hand he gave mine a light squeeze which was slightly comforting I doubt I could actually do this if I was alone and besides all this wouldn't have happened if it wasn't for reaper.

I guess I was pretty lucky to have him even though he can be a flirty damn a$$hole sometimes.

"Hey guys your right on time" sci greeted us at the door, he seemed confident which reassured me even more, "when your ready you can follow me in and reaper, you can wait in these chairs I'll have someone to keep  you posted. He looked unsure as I studied his face he looked at me. Was it worry? 'I'll be okay,' I mouthed he wasn't excellent at reading lips but he seemed to understand.

"I know. I love you okay?" Blushing I gave him a swift peck before following sci looking over my shoulder with a nervous smile the sooner I go in the sooner I can back to living life.

The halls where vacant and most doors where closed I tried to Remeber the different ways we where going but it soon got lost to me. Jeez was it a maze or something?

Finally he stopped and entered a room with a chair thing that laid back a table next to it with a bunch of doctors tools, their was also a few other monsters who smiled at me. "Alright you can lay their, do you need anything before we do this?" I tried to think writing down quickly what came to mind.

'What's going to happen after?' He looked at it quickly "probably some speech therapy regular checkups, all the cost will be sorted afterwards" nodding I felt a bit reassured "it will be one step at a time" nodding I finally took a seat and laid down. Unraveling my scarf a nurse took it and folded it neatly going off to set it somewhere.

"Breath deeply in to this mask i counted back from 100 everything will be perfect by time you wake up so don't worry." Nodding I began.

"100,99,98,97,96,95,94... 93,92,91,90...89...88............."

"Geno?, geeeeenooooo" who was being annoying this time?!, I just wanted to sleep!, cracking open my eyes I noticed reaper leaned on the bed slightly with a wicked grin seeing a note pad I reached for it squinting and scribbling messy writing on it. 'What do you want a$$hole' he chuckled "just checking how you are dear" he cupped my cheek moving away with a deep frown I wasn't in the mood right now so  I rolled on to my side trying to burry my face under the covers to get rid of this throbbing pain.

Going back to sleep I woke up again much less groggy but I could tell what ever pain killers I was on was starting to wear off cause my soul was hurting and the vertebrae around my neck area was killing me.

Looking in the room I noticed reaper was sleeping on his arms which was on top of the bed folded.

Smiling weakly he looked so peaceful his anxiousness and stress  from the past few days looked to have washed away.

Prodding him softly he gave a small groan subconsciously pushing my hand away. Giggling silently I poked him a bit more harder this caused him to stir and he jolted his head up.

He looked quickly around before his eyes fell on me "well it seems a angel as graced me today~" scoffing he wasn't awake for two seconds for him to make a flirty comment.

"How are you feeling" he mumbled stretching his back making slight popping noises from being in the same postion.

Shrugging I picked up the note pad 'pain killers?' He read it nodding standing up to get the nurse.

The hum from the lights was pretty loud when their was no voices to fill the silence, however reaper was asked to wait outside while sci checked up on me.

But after twenty minutes of waiting he finally came in holding a stack of papers. "Good after noon Geno, recovering?" I nodded he smiled setting down the papers on a near by table in the room.

"Alright I'm going to try and get you to speak to see if it worked but I just need to check your soul energy and the vertebrae" nodding he got our this soul scanning device he mumbled to him self slightly jotting down stuff here and their. He also put a bit of pressure on my neck to see if their was any pain.

Their was slightly but he said that's expected. "Now where going to go through a bit of the alphabet okay? Instead of saying the letters you sound our the noise they make Okay?"

I was a bit nervous last words I tried to say it was extremely painful, but I was determined.

"Okay A" taking a deep breath i braved my self but a small painless squeak left my mouth making me blush in embarrassment. He laughed lightly "it's okay take your time."

Inhaling again I tried again this time even though a bit shakey I made the proper noise yet it came out a bit broken my voice having been unused for basically all my life.

He went through until I felt a bit sore and tired. "I say we give it a break huh? Your doing very well I'm pleased with your progress"

Nodding I jotted down hastily 'when can I go home?'

"Soon I'll keep you for another day just to be sure theirs no complications"

(Reapers POV)

It had been about two weeks since genos procedure. All though the sickness still  kept him a bit down he seemed more upbeat. Yet I was curious why he hasn't said a word to me yet, he's been going to speech therapy in which he told me I couldn't come in.

I tried multiple times trying to get him to say something anything I didn't even care if it was a grumble at my remarks.

It's funny that all this time I didn't crave to hear him this much then but now I want nothing more for him to.

Hearing the front door open I was just about to head to work, I needed to pick up extra shifts to cover plus a second  job to pay for Genos proceeder but I hadn't told him yet he didn't need to worry.

"Back already?" He nodded with a huge smile on his face, it fell slightly when he saw  I was in my work uniform.

"Work?" He mouthed. Nodding grimly I gave a shrug "I'll be back before you know it though love okay?" It seemed to put a damper on his mood but he fell easily in to my embrace.

Rubbing small circles in to his back soothingly I got a idea "well I don't work tomorrow so how about we do out?" He seemed to pipe up at that, which was good I felt bad putting his happy mood down, keeping my arms hugged around his waist he searched my gaze before pecking my on the cheek then trying to wiggle out of my grip.

"Come on love don't let me leave while your still grumpy~" he gave a glare 'am not' he mouthed chuckling he finally gave up and gave me a actual kiss. Satisfied I let him go making him laugh quietly shaking his head.

By time I actually got home it was three in the morning, who the hell wants coffee at one in the morning anyways??!  And the fact that the boss asked me and killer the newbie to clean and restock up was more then irritating. He's not that bad though just a bit odd.

Unlocking the door I wanted nothing more then to go and sleep for a century but as soon as I entered I Noticed geno glare at me when I entered.

Well sh*t.

He held out a  no doubt scolding note to me.

I also noticed the hospital bills I kept hidden on the counter as well,

'How long have you been hiding this??'  "You don't need to worry about it dear okay? You just need to focus on recovering." His glare hardened before he angrily wrote more down.

'I thought their was supposed to be no hiding stuff.'

Holding his stare for a moment I knew he wanted the truth. "It's nothing that I can't handle I just got a second job and-" his expression changed to even more angry not letting me finish he gave me a hard shove in the chest pushing past me to head out side on the Patio.

Watching him for a moment he needed to cool off heading to the bed room with a heavy sigh I laid on the bed staring at the wall. I thought things would be different when he got the surgery.

After a while I heard him come in with a muffled cough. Holding my breath I waited listening to his shufflings.  Finally after a moment I felt his arms try and hug around me. Signing gently I rolled over cuddling around him.

"I'm sorry babe" I muttered. "I'm sorry" it was so soft it was hard to hear and at first I thought I was imagining it.

"Geno?"  But I didn't get anymore instead he just burried his face in to me.

"Ready darling?" I called I had just put on a plain black button up dress shirt that had the sleeves rolled up to my elbows and light grey pants. Straightening the watch on my arm Geno came down with a bluey light grey dress shirt  as well and black jeans with his scarf of course.

He wore a large smile, I was glad we had resolved our little fight, "you look amazing~" grabbing his hips gently I pulled him in to a soft kiss. He blushed batting me away slightly 'after' he mouthed. "Oh?~ after? Well then I shall await patiently my dear~" kissing his hand he giggled.

(Genos POV)

Reaper was nothing but a gentle men to me, I could speak a bit more with out my voice breaking up as much but I wanted to have the right moment to tell reaper I loved him, I waited years for this moment what's so bad to wait just a little longer.

Arriving at the restaurant we got guided to a table in which reaper pulled my chair out, it was cute he was doing all the little things that mattered most.  Of course I was angry he was working him self to death over me but I can't hold it against him. It's the nicest thing anyone has done for me.

After ordering reaper seemed to be a bit antsy, giving him a quizzical look he caught it and just waved me off changing the subject.

After a bit he let out a small chuckle "you know I've been contemplating what to say about this for ages but I think I should just bite the bullet and.." he pulled out a little box.

Confused I looked at him and then back at the box then back to
Him. "Geno I love you, and..." he laughed a little "I don't think I can actually put it in to words" sliding out of his chair he went on one knee pretty awkwardly loosing his balance slightly.

Laughing slightly he opened the box to reveal a absolutely gorgeous ring. I felt a small smile form on my face.

"I don't think I really need to say but for the tradition when proposing. Will you marry me?"

Nodding my head with out hesitation I leaned  in cupping his face with both hands and kissed him. Pulling back ever so slightly resting my foreskull agains his, loving the way he looks at me and holds me as if I'm the most important person in the world, "I love you so much, reaper."
