Katniss's voice held an edge of urgency as she spoke, "We need to know what we're dealing with. There's something... off about her."

Haymitch leaned back in his chair, his eyes narrowing in thought. "Thorn, huh? She's a real piece of work, that one. Been turning heads since she was knee-high. Skilled as they come, and as elusive as a ghost in the woods."

Peeta's troubled expression prompted him to speak up, "But can we trust her, or should we watch our backs?"

Haymitch fixed them with a knowing gaze. "She's got a dark edge to her, that's for sure. Quiet, brooding. Like she's carrying the weight of the world on those narrow shoulders. And word has it, she's got a temper that can snuff out a spark quicker than you can blink."

Peeta's frown deepened. "So, we should be careful around her then?"

Haymitch let out a gruff chuckle. "You should always be careful in these Games, boy. But with Thorn, it's a whole other level. She's an enigma, and enigmas can be just as dangerous as open threats. Keep your eyes on her. She's playing her own game, with her own rules."

watched ballad of the songbirds and snakes last night and my obsession with hunger games is BACK! and obviously i had to write a book ;) the first few chapters of this book will be pre-hunger games then the plot of catching fire.

PS. finnick odair deserves better and in my world he is still alive and live a happy life with his wife and many kids.
