Chapter 6

They were inside again and Chan had to admit that he was loving Woojin's house just as much as all the other guys seemed to love it. It was huge and beautiful, just like Minho had said earlier, it looked like a mini palace. But what made him really enjoy the sojourn, wasn't the richness or the luxurious place, but the company of those who seemed to consider him important. It had been such a long time since Chan felt like he was part of something and not only a broken person that couldn't fit it.
When they got into the Movie Night's Room, Chan couldn't help it but throw himself into one of the puffs that were dispersed through the room. His face was one of pure pleasure as his body got engulfed by it, it felt so comfortable. The guys laughed after seeing him so pleased with such thing, and he smiled in reply, laughing at the end too.
Everybody just took a place wherever they wanted. In the case of Jisung, he dragged one pink puff and let in front of the big couch, and threw himself on it. While Minho sat behind him on the couch and rested his feet on Jisung's puff. Felix and Changbin just casually sat next to each other on the couch, both with their legs crossed on it. Felix had taken a bowl of popcorn and placed it in between his legs.
"I want popcorn too!" Jisung cried out, and Seungmin, that was coincidentally taking some snacks from the table, threw a bag of popcorn at him. "Thanks, Seungmin-ssi," Jisung threw a kiss at Seungmin, the aforementioned grimaced.
Woojin had thrown himself into the right end of the couch, a remote control (that looked like everything but what it was) in his hands. Hyunjin was sitting next to him, waiting for Jeongin who was also dragging a puff next to the couch. Seungmin sat next to Hyunjin and finally Jeongin let the puff in between both of their legs.
Hyunjin started to look around the room and his eyes stopped on Chan, "Uhm... no," he said, making everybody confused. He got up and walked towards Chan, "Can you stand up, hyung? Please," he said.
Chan, although a little bit lost, did as the younger one said. And then Hyunjin dragged the puff where Chan was and let it in front of Woojin and next to Jeongin.
"Aesthetic," Hyunjin explained, and everybody let an 'ahhh' escape their mouths.
"What are we gonna watch?" Woojin asked.
"A horror movie!" Chan said, and Seungmin couldn't help it but find cute how he put emphasis into the sentence with his hands.
Felix jumped on his place, "No!" He yelled, "Please, anything but a horror movie."
"I agree with Felix," Changbin said.
"But I want to watch a horror movie too," Seungmin came into the conversation, crossing his legs.
"Same here," Chan's eyes sparkled when he heard Woojin say that.
"I actually don't care what we watch as long as it is entertaining," Minho said, and somehow, Jisung's head was now resting on his lap.
"Same here," said the one who was using Minho as a pillow.
"That's 5 against 2," Chan remarked, a devilish smile on his face.
"What about you two, Hyunjin? Jeongin?" Seungmin asked.
"What is it that nobody ever wants to watch a romantic movie?" Hyunjin pouted.
"I'm okay with whatever you choose," Jeongin stated.
"Let's do this," Woojin spoke, "We'll first watch a horror movie, then a comedy one to ease the tensions, and finally a romantic one to fall asleep."
"Seems good to me," was Chan's opinion. And the others seemed to agree with him.
They discussed what movies to watch for like ten more minutes and came to the conclusion of watching A Quiet place, Game Night and Love, Simon. And of course, the selection of the last movie had nothing to do with the fact that at least half of the group had shown gay tendencies before. And neither had to do with the fact that Hyunjin (and everyone but Chan), knew about Woojin's massive crush on Chan.
Chan liked A Quiet Place, it was good and he always considered himself a fan of movies with post apocalyptic themes. Even a few moments of the movie made him jump a little in surprise. Of course, it was nothing compared to when Changbin or Felix screamed. Because to be honest, their screams scared him more than the actual movie. As a fan of horror movies, Chan didn't get scared by them easily, but for two scaredy-cats like Felix and Changbin, it was too much. The funniest moment was when Hyunjin got scared and the popcorn bowl he had on his hand flipped over, and they had to stop the movie to clean it up.
Maybe in a different situation, Hyunjin's mishap with the popcorn would've been annoying, but like this, it was just funny how all the popcorn ended over him. Chan couldn't stop laughing.

At some point during the first movie, Woojin placed his feet on the puff where Chan was laying. The curly haired one didn't seem to care and so Woojin didn't worry about it too much. The movie was good and he didn't really notice when he did such move, this time, he could say that it was his body trying to find a more comfortable position. Since he didn't really do it with any kind of hidden intentions.
As the movie went on, he couldn't help it but laugh whenever Changbin or Felix, or both of them together, cried out with fear with anything in the movie. By the end of it, he felt like he had watched a comedy movie instead of one that was supposed to scare him thanks to those two. He mentally noted never to invite Felix to watch a horror film in the movie theater.
"I will never agree to watch a horror movie with you guys ever again," Changbin complained as soon as the movie was over. "I mean, couldn't we watch Train To Busan or something like that instead of this?" He continued, and Felix next to him nodded.
Comically, Felix was holding onto Changbin's arm and had a permanent pout on his lips. Woojin had to admit that he looked cute.
They kind of made a circle, or more like an oval to talk about the movie. Eating more snacks and not only popcorn while talking about their favorites (or in Felix and Changbin's case, the worst ones) scenes and things like that. And like half an hour after, they put the next movie. It was already 10 pm, which meant they would most likely go to sleep really late. Nobody minded that, the next day was Saturday.
The good part about watching comedy movies with his group of friends was Jisung. Because Jisung would make any movie ten times funnier thanks to his witticisms. Any joke would get more laughs than it was supposed to get thanks to the squirrel looking boy. It wasn't even 30 minutes into the movie and Woojin felt like his lungs were about to slap him already from so much laugher. So Woojin leaned over to take a drink from the table, his throat needing it, but there was when he realized that there were no more drinks on the table.
"There are no more drinks," he announced. "I'll go get a few ones," Woojin said standing and stretching his body.
Chan said something, "He says he'll go with you," Seungmin explained him.
"Oh, yeah, of course," Woojin answered and smiled at Chan.
Chan got up and walked out of the room with him. Since it was late already, the service had left the house a few hours ago, making the house be empty almost empty. Most of the lights were turned off, giving such a big house a weird, almost a lugubrious feeling to which Woojin was used. He had been born in that house, it wasn't like he didn't experience the darkness of it before.
Chan took his screen thingy and typed something on it, showing it to Woojin afterward.
Isn't the house a little bit creepy with the lights off like this? Woojin couldn't stop a chuckle.
"Actually, that is exactly what I was thinking just now," Woojin said, with a soft laugh. "Did you read my mind, Bang Chan?" Chan went to type again.
Great minds think alike. ;) Woojin couldn't hold back the laughter.
"Yeah, I guess," he said, smiling at Chan.
They got to the kitchen and Woojin picked three six packs from the fridge. Two of which were Coca Cola and the other one was juice. He gave the one with the juices to Chan and took those with Coco Cola.
"Oh, wait," Woojin realized, "If you carry that, you won't be able to speak."
Chan opened his mouth, and then frowned, flailing his right hand, like saying that it didn't matter. Woojin looked at him hesitantly for a few seconds but, nodded at the end. They walked back into the corridor towards the room.
"Does it have a name?" Woojin asked, "The small device you use to communicate," he explained before Chan's confused look.
Chan seemed to think about it for a few seconds and then shrugged, shaking his head.
"It should have one," Woojin continued.
Chan laughed and looked at Woojin, he said why, only with his lips. Or at least that's what Woojin understood and he hoped to be right.
"You use it a lot, it's kind of like a part of you by now, don't you think?" He explained, Chan seemed to think about it for a few seconds.
Chan tried to say something again, but Woojin didn't get it at first, nor at the second time.
Suggest me some names. He got at the third one and he almost jumped, if he had to ask Chan once again what was he saying, Woojin would bury his own head in the backyard.
"Didi," Woojin suggested, and Chan looked at him with an expression between funny and like asking him what was wrong with him, Woojin laughed. "It's short and easy to remember, seems like a good name for me," now it was Woojin who shrugged.
Chan laughed and then nodded, accepting the new name for his screen keyboard. And Woojin smiled happily. They got back to the room and at least 10 minutes of the movie had gone by already, not that Woojin cared much. The movie went on and so did the laughter.
By the end of the movie, Woojin could notice how Chan yawned a few times. And when Love, Simon was just starting, he saw him yawn a few more times.
"Channie," Woojin called him, Chan turned his head and faced Woojin. "You look tired, don't you want to sit on the couch? There's enough space here," Wooji said, pointing at the huge gap between him and Hyunjin, who now was clinging onto Seungmin.
Chan said yes without much thinking and climbing up to the couch. He took place next to Woojin and leaned his head back onto the backrest of the couch. Woojin observed him close his eyes for a few minutes, and then put his attention back into the movie. And a few minutes after, he felt Chan's head slowly sliding through the couch and ending on his shoulder. Woojin smiled. Chan looked relaxed and his breath was calmed, peaceful. He was careful not to move during the rest of the movie, making sure he wouldn't wake up the guy.
